Michael Hardner Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 My friends have to run with the same set of rules that I do. They are not the same rules for people like Hillary. But what kind of influence are you talking about? Influencing something you have control over, asking for a favour for a friend, that sort of thing. If politicians have different rules, it's because they do different things. Aside from those different things, they likely behave the same way everyone else does. WWWTT Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Why would Canadians watch American political campaign ads ? I haven't seen it. Not even interested in the US political freek show circus either. I'm only reading some of the comments in this thread to see how the posters here view her. Waste of time really. WestCoastRunner Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) Somebody is very interested.....Canadians for Hillary Clinton: What is the point of this post? I have to guess because you provided no framework to discuss this. Could it be you are simply mocking Canadians Maybe you are trying to make Canadians feel inferior because they are interested in American politics Or you want to know why Canadians would want to support Hillary (although that wasn't included in your post). Next time please provide something with more substance that we can converse on a higher intellectual level (Canadian style). WIP Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 I heard about this interview Hillary has done with the NY Times from my usual alternative media sources: A Newcomer to Populism? Hillary Clinton Campaign Begs to Differ No point in posting the lying, disingenuous piece....in brief it's Hillary pretending to be Elizabeth Warren and declaring war on the 1%. The question is do any Americans who are eligible to vote in any primaries actually believe this change in tune has any substance? Or will President Hillary toss it off and other campaign promises in much the way Barack Obama did after getting elected and telling grassroots activists to go home and wait for 2012! bush_cheney2004 Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 It doesn't really matter who the Democrats run, he or she will get very left and bash conservatives to win the party nomination then move to the center for the general election. The "progressives" will be left holding the bag yet again. You'd think they would learn by now. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

bush_cheney2004 Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 This "concerned" Canadian has it all figured out.....for a foreign (U.S.) election that he can't even vote in. Amazing..... Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Rue Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 Uh yes Bush C. When you have candidates like Justin Teehee Trudeau, et al it can be quite boring. Think about it. We have this boring chubby guy whose hair never moves no matter how the wind blows and looks like an undertaker, Mr. Harper, then we have Justin Trudeau who is trying his hardest to be the reincarnation of Errol Flynn or Peter Pan or both and a New Democratic Party Leader who sounds like Vincent Price-Paul Lynde and reminds me of Queen Victoria with facial hair. Its not an inspiring bunch. Now we don't get many charismatic types. So we watch Yank t.v. and many of us still think Pam Anderson should be our wife and she is from California. We are complicated.
