You don't think she is?

.It wouldn't even occur to me to think about it.

I guess it's a guy thing?

And please don't call what I said sexist. If PET's son looked like Mike Duffy, I doubt he'd be the leader of the House's 3rd Party.

Sexism: Food for thought

Let's see ... "Mike Duffy, an ugly bald paunchy little man known to be a hysterical demanding whiner, nonetheless ..." :)

I think posters underestimate the value of Dimitri Soudas. He is the former Press Secretary to Harper and Executive Director of the Conservative Party of Canada. He has been at Harpers right hand from the Alliance days and was his political "hit" man that got Harper elected. This guy was not only knowledgeable of all of the shady things going on but was also the guy initiating most of them.

I don’t think it’s underestimating him, but recognizing where he actually stands…….He was indeed the former director of communications for the PM (Who hasn’t been though..) for a year and a half, then left, and retuned as Executive director of the party before being forced to resign, a tenure marked by the Tories sinking in the polls, well failing to “control the message”, a suppose area that he excelled.

You’re assuming he has “interesting information”…………One would think, if he did, he wouldn’t have been forced out of the Party and Adams would have “won” the local nomination……….

I listen to her this morning and was starting to change my mind until she was ask what her boyfriend thoughts of her changing parties and she said her family is supporting her but the media kept asking about the boyfriend's thoughts and she wouldn't answer...why? It's not a good thing to have one person a Liberal and another a Conservative member, which the party better watch these two.

A rat fleeing a sinking ship. She figures the Liberals are going to win the next election, so she's going where she sees the best chance to extend her political career.

Part of the reason I cannot get into the labels of Liberal, Conservative, NDP, ect. They switch colours when it's convenient.

She already answered.

The only possible further answer would be "You could ask him."

Would a man be repeatedly harassed about his wife's opinion?

IMHO I think JT did Harper a favour today in taking a toxic MP off his hands.

But she has really nice hair! She and JT look great together!

I wonder if he expenses his hair care products to the public the way she was caught doing...

Conservative MP Eve Adams has defected to the Liberals, denouncing the “mean-spirited” leadership and “politics of division” of the party she leaves behind.

Nasty ! This could draw blood, especially in the blonde, blue-eyed, and 1/2 female constituencies of the 905. Harper is MEAN ! Voters understand that kind of language.

Member jacee seems to think looks are irrelevant.

At least female looks, JT is dreamy of course.

Usual Liberal Talking Point. Harper is a MEANIE!!!!

Of course not allowing people to run because they believe Abortion is wrong isn't divisive at all right?

Not sure why the Liberals accepted her into their caucus...

it's a bit bizarre given all her issues...

It does provide a chance to re focus the idea of Harper being a bully as well as the dissension among the CPC, especially as it happens hot on the heels of Bairds departure.

She did not leave because harper was a bully, she got told last week she will never run as a conservative again. And the fact ,if she runs as a liberal and loses she will receive 80g's as a severance. Bad move on JT's part.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

Fear mongering and bullying I think were her words. She also got a hefty poke in at income splitting, re affirming it helps only a small portion of families already making good money. It wont likely last long in the press but it shows Harper in a bit of damage control mode.

Yes.... but I don't think the public will see much past her nutso tirade at the airport... not to mention her very vicious attempt to have her high-up boyfriend secure her a nomination... Why would anyone really care what she thinks about Harper? She went along with everything Harper has been doing for 10 years... and that riding nomination issue showed her to be a nasty politician.

Most people probably thought Harper would have been OK to turf her out... which he didn't. She had a parliamentary secretary position! How mean does that really make him?

n a written statement, Conservative Party president John Walsh said that "just a couple [of] weeks ago," Adams had requested permission to run for a Conservative nomination in a new riding — and was rejected.

"I informed her in writing on Jan. 29 that she would not be permitted to run for our party in the next election due to the misconduct from the Oakville North-Burlington nomination race," he said.

If the Conservatives produce this letter, her credibility is shot. She jumped ship because she was being held to account for her backroom, dirty political dealings; and now she's a Liberal.

The Liberals shouldn't have gone near her with a 10 foot pole!

Im well aware of her baggage and we shall see how well this move works for JT. What I got from her statements wasnt so much that Harper was mean to her specifically, just bullying within the party in general, which has shown up in the news before.

Income splitting is one of those issues where most people are 'meh' and even if they don't really think much of it don't really see it as affecting them.

For those it DOES effect, it will be a huge issue and it will change votes.
