PIK Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Yeah he admitted it was yesterday just now. PIK Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Careful bjre! The lefties here are circling like vultures with the scent of blood for anyone that is foolish enough to write anything remotely in any way that may be interpreted as defending Ford. Being the mayor of a major city is a high profile position and being publicly intoxicated is very shameful! Ford brings much shame to Canadians, especially Torontotonians! You make some good points, but Fords petty problems only make addressing these other issues harder to resolve. Ford has to go ASAP! WWWTT Are you kidding me?? Look at some of the Past mayors of TO. Like the one that never left the Royal York Hotel. And everybody loved him. Ford has problems but the poeple love the guy and if the people that are going to run against him, come out with a elitist attitude (chow) he wins again. Black Dog Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Most people that are drunk say they are not, but I guess when you are perfect you would not understand what us mere mortal have to go thru. . The problem with your attempts to characterize Ford as "jus' folks" is you end up insulting regular Joes. Most normal people don't blow off work to buy drugs/drink. Most normal people, I would say, are more or less honest in their day to day dealings with others; Ford is an inveterate liar. Most normal people have to work hard for what they get in life; Rob Ford was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and has never held a job his family didn't provide him with (including his seat on council and his mayorship). People who still fall for his crap straight up deserve the kind of city he would give them. Quote
Rue Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I don’t like Ford, but I don’t like media much more. The more media said on him, the more shows Rob Ford is valuable, the more shows media try to misleading, the more shows behind the media there are powerful interest groups who cannot tolerate Ford do something good for most people which others politician unable to do it. Otherwise, why media can not focus on the tax dollars wasting on the power plant, e-Health and others (for example CAS). Those are the real corruption (not mis-use a letter paper with some kind of title , not Ford’s personal bad habits that are not harmful to anyone else). I respectfully disagree with you that Rob Ford's behaviour is not harmful to anyone else. You think his family are not suffering from his behaviour? Really? You think everytime he gets in a vehicle drunk he's not endangering society? You think his actions have harmed no one but himself? Really? This man is a role model. He is sending a message that its o.k. for the chief peace officer of a city to break the law and be drunken and disorderly and you say that does not harm anyone? It harms us all. Don't tell me to accept this behaviour as normal. Its not. Its not what I want from a politician who is asking to be in charge of my money. No not at all. He's a danger to people. He flaunts being above the law. He lies. He engages in profanities against the very police chief he is supposed to work with on a budget. No he is not an island. He is damaging his wife and children everytime he behaves the way he does and one can only guess what his impact is on his family with the doors shut. He's an alcoholic. He has a mental illness. He isa danger to himself and others. He shows it in each and every minute of the day. Enough is enough. The last place I want this fool is near any car. Quote
BubberMiley Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Not to mention all the poor parents who've had to explain to their children why he's still mayor, even though everyone knows he smokes crack. Rue Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 Bubber I just got this visual of someone pulling up Ford's undies and giving him a wedgy. I blame you for using the phrase wedge politics. No you can not turn the other cheek to such politics. Quote

BubberMiley Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Bubber I just got this visual of someone pulling up Ford's undies and giving him a wedgy. I blame you for using the phrase wedge politics.I'm sorry you had to see that. I just skimmed the Sun's fourth part in a seven-part series on Ford, where they report everything they denied and blustered and called the Star reporters liars for reporting six months ago. Rue Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Well I must admit Bubber I was on this forum complaining about the Star's running of some of its stories. Its all a moot point now. The dirt is out and it can't be shoved back under the carpet so to speak. I do criticize some exercises the Star engaged in as uneven and questionably unethical but its a moot point now. Independent sources have corroborated all the information and Ford has admitted it and admitted he lied. End of story. He is hiding behind the claim of saving taxpayers money. He claims this is why everyone is out to get him. He takes zero responsibility for his behaviour and lying and says-its not my behaviour getting me the boot its my anti tax stance. What a crock. The latest pathetic announcement city hall is all out to get him not because of his behaviour but his anti tax stance aint working. His inventing arbitrary numbers like $50 million he claims he can save is not working. People know he is just making up an arbitrary number every time he speaks. Today its 50 mil, tomorrow 75 mil. With Rob Ford you just throw a number out you claim you can save and then try say everyone in the government but you won't save that money. Its a tiresome song. I doubt even his supporters believe him any more. Edited January 28, 2014 by Rue Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 Poor old Rob can't even seem to figure out what functions he is invited to and which not. He and Harper will have a lot of time off coming up so they can roam around TO looking for parties where they are invited. I just hope they hire a driver. Quote
jacee Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 I really really REALLY doubt that drinking and driving and drugging with Rob Ford is on Harper's bucket list! Quote

guyser Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 He got invited, he just didn't RSVP. I think he did it on purpose so he could play the victim card again. Of course he did it on purpose. No one....no one goes around with an invite unless they have some ulterior motive planned. Whats funny is everyone saw the ploy. What an idiot he is. Quote
cybercoma Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 He got invited, he just didn't RSVP. I think he did it on purpose so he could play the victim card again. He was accidentally invited, since his office was on the mailing list. The president said they called to cancel his invitation, as he was mayor in name only. They formally invited the Deputy Mayor who is taking on Ford's responsibilities, had him in the program, and sat him at a table front and centre. Ford didn't RSVP and also ignored the fact that they cancelled his invitation. Quote
Black Dog Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 It's totally normal for a sitting mayor to have to deny involvement in a murder, right? Quote
Rue Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 I don't know about all the other dirt but I am peeyed at Ford for this one... I like many people am concerned about fiscal misspending. No I do not want to see irresponsible spending. I really resent though Ford claiming he is the only politician concerned with that and any other municipal politician other than his brother wants to misspend. I think that is a total crock of sheeyazz. This trying to suggest he is the only person concerned about taxes is odious. He has now suggested any or all criticism of his unacceptable behaviour is to be thrown out because its only being thrown at him since he wants to save money for tax payers. He has a pathological personality disorder he plays out where he sees himself as a victim reclassifying his anti-social behaviour as non existent..a false pretext made up because of his political views. Ironically he has no political views. None. He is unable to form a sentence let alone express a concept. He can't. Ford's brain is limited to saying what he is NOT. He can not say what he is. He can say what he is against but not what he's for. His brain has a disorder which prevents him from creating-it can only react. This is a classic personality disorder. Its rigid, inflexible and it self-destructs and turns in against the person who has it and it will eventually kill him because he will not admit he is sick. The concept he may be wrong about something does not exist in his mind. As a child he feared being ridiculed so much it traumatized him and formed this behavioural disorder where he can now not possibly acknowledge he is imperfect. The obesity, alcoholism, pathological lying, saying one thing and doing the exact opposite, its all part of this disorder. I am peeyed off at the number of people still enabling him, i.e., encouraging his delusions. The latest is his inventing the number $50 million in savings but refusing to say where it will be cut from claiming it will be kept as a secret because everyone in city hall is out to get him. This kind of pathological delusion, this creation of persecution and fabrication of having knowledge no one else has that makes him divine and therefore a messiah or saviour whose sins never happened and are just lies made up of messiah killers is pathetic. This attempt to be the TAX JESUS of Toronto is repulsive. Enough. He is no Tax Jesus. He is a pathetic man making up numbers and pathetic claims to try prop himself on that cross to get votes. The fact is he is trying to nail himself to a TAX SAVINGS cross but only a fool can not see he is petrified of the nails and won't actualy allow them to be put into him. Its why he spits and sputtles and panics and interupts everyone and runs the moment he thinks the nails are coming out. Its a circus watching him play the tax messiah. Quote

Ford has been served ... -rob-ford-served-with-suit-alleging-mayor-was-connected-to-jailhouse-assault/ Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is being sued by his sister's ex-boyfriend who alleges the mayor conspired to have him attacked in jail to prevent his illicit behaviours from becoming known. Scott MacIntyre says in the statement of claim filed Wednesday that he has known about Ford's activities for some time. MacIntyre was in jail in March 2013 after being charged with threatening Ford, when he was brutally attacked. He alleges Ford conspired with Payman Aboodowleh, who coached high school football with Ford, to have one of their former players, who was also in jail at the time, to beat MacIntyre up. .
