Do you like my "Jesus squid" avatar??

Since according to wiki,

In computing, an avatar is the graphical representation of the user or the user's alter ego or character

The question now is:

Which part of the toucan represents you? laugh.png

LOL why is that? I guess it all depends on your approach to translating the Bible, doesn't it? It doesn't make them a Catholic or Mormon church, but your view of Christianity isn't the only one. Christ never mentioned homosexuality or gay marriage, so how he can be against it or for it?

You seem to be so obsessed with gay issues. Well at least your avatar is a good representation of your....<ahem> ....."philosophy."

I like the way you changed avatars to produce a bearded gay. I tried but somehow....you still come to mind. You're still that guy in the photo- with a statement. I guess that's what first impresssion is all about. Two things that really stuck though - bare hairless chest. And beautiful long flowing hairdo.

The previous avatar had a much more cooler pose, though..... this current one looks like a former biker who just came out. smile.png

At least you seem to have taken time to have not one - but two varying avatars that upholds the same message! Talk about something really, really close to your heart.

Unlike poor The Squid, who seemed to have been impulsively careless in taking out a caricature as his avatar - which turned out to be that of a toucan, instead of a squid! biggrin.png

Anyway, I understand where you're coming from. There are different interpretations of Jesus.....like the bumper sticker Jesus, or the trendy Jesus, or the politically correct Jesus etc..,

If you insists that Jesus accepts homosexuality.....there's nothing stopping you to interpret it anyway you want, to suit you. smile.png

Now you're getting it! Your interpretation of Jesus is the hates fags Jesus.... Moonlight's gay couple friends/family version is the loving/tolerant Jesus...

I know which people I'd rather hang out with....

I guess I'm a bigot to myself then. Fun fact: I'm a Christian, have been all my life, baptized, with all my sacraments completed. Went to a Christian school from kindergarten through high school graduation. I have a close sibling who is gay, and is getting married next year to another homosexual, and they're getting married in a Christian church (no, not in a Catholic or Anglican one LOL). Try again.

I know in BC_2004's parallel universe Canadians sit around talking about the US all day, but in reality "Say, so have you ever been to the States?" isn't a huge topic of conversation.

A toucan's beak is not larger than the rest of the body, a squid is.
