Sleipnir Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I'm not sure what you're saying, With using the multi-quote, the thread should look less cluttered - though I'm guilty of sometimes not using it >_> Quote "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain
Topaz Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Again, I have IE, and it doesn't like the the quote button and I've tried several times and I ended "X" out the forum to get back on. Before the change on the forum I did use it but now I can't so I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like it, there's nothing I can do. Quote
TheNewTeddy Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 You can manually multiquote. Here. I've written this in the quick reply box. Now I'm highlighting it all and copy-pasting it. (cutting) Again, I have IE, and it doesn't like the the quote button and I've tried several times and I ended "X" out the forum to get back on. Before the change on the forum I did use it but now I can't so I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like it, there's nothing I can do. I've hit quote to get your quote. I put a few spaces above so I could paste that line above. Now I'm going to do the same for the post above yours. Highlight all the text in the box, and cut it. Merlin Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 Imagine if the posts betsy's been making in the gay thread were all clump into one post - not 4 or 5 individual posts all at once? You're supposed to be snipping posts to only include the portion of the post you're directly responding to. It's improper forum etiquette to leave an entire huge post in your quote. American Woman, it's annoying to be reading a thread then all of a sudden we have 12 short posts in a row with one sentence answers. These would be easier to read if these were condensed into one post instead of spreading them out over a page and a half. Quote
betsy Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Never could figure out how that multiquote thing worked. Thanks to Merlin, now I do. Me too. Quote

I would seriously consider adding Mozilla Firefox as a browser for boards in which you participate. It works far better for both MLW and dailykos, on which I know you post. GostHacked Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I'm not sure what you're saying, but if I were looking for a response to my post, and wasn't interested in a lot of the others, I think it would be a lot easier to find in a single-quote reply, ie: with my name and quote at the top of the reply, than it would be to find it buried in one clump of a post. Use it or don't use it. I don't understand the issue here. Quote
