Christians that complain about people not celebrating Christmas correctly (i.e. that Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Christ) humor me considering that Christmas is essentially a variety of pagan holidays (Yule, Saturnalia, Mithras Day) that were stolen by the Christians and merged with St. Nickolas day (originally dec 6) and jesus' birthday (originally in the spring). Santa Claus was created by the Coca-cola company in the 1930's and is a merger of the norse god Odin and the byzantine saint Nickolas.

Anyway, Happy Yuletide everyone! I had a yule log this year and it was delicious.

I care. It's important for people to know how the real Christian message was perverted by money and power into a method of oppression, subjugation and control. Usurping and absorbing pagan celebrations was one element of that oppression.

Turning Christmas into an excuse for profit-making is another.
