What troubles me at this point is to ponder what other lies the administration has not been caught in? To lie about Benghazi when it was so easy to refute the official story shows an arrogance, and such an arrogance will have its owner lying whenever it suits his purposes.

I think you're going to have to at least convincingly demonstrate the administration was deliberately misleading people for political purposes (rather than the prevailing opinion that it is the Republicans doing so) before you can successfully speculate with further statements that inexplicably end with question marks.

Information existed almost immediately that was counter to Susan Rice's story. Yet she kept pushing the same untruth for 2 weeks.

There could be several, reading over this thread will help you out there. The point is not why they lied, but that they did.

Not he point is who Lied (the Intelligence agencies not the Admin) and why they did it (they did it so they catch the people who killed the Americans and not out their informants who give them information on Terrorists). The point is also what is the lie you are talking about. Many time in this thread I have asked what lei are we talking about and many the times the lie we were talking about (or I guess you and Hacked) we talking about things that weren't lies but were lies created by the right wing. Sorry this is over buddy no one in America cares because of how many times you side has been wrong. Should have waited to get your story right because now America thinks your side is just as bad if not worse then the other side. YOU LOST THE ARGUMENT ALREADY give it up.

Reading over the thread would not be helpful because of how wrong Sharkman has been through out the thread.

No, I've read through the thread as well as most of the news reports, Foxnews reports, and opinion pieces. Everything suggest to me it was a manufactured controversy that exploited the fact that the administration's words were extremely measured, as it was a national security situation. The idea that this is all the result of the notion that it's more politically desirable for Libyan terrorists to come from a video-enraged mob than from a group that calls itself "al Qaeda" is bizarre.

The GOP created this controversy because they thought it might stick during the election. That failed miserably, so now they're using it in the hopes that they can remove Susan Rice from the equation and get John Kerry nominated for Secretary of State so Scott Brown can have another chance at a Massachusetts Senate seat.

They lied. Your narrative as to why is pointless, you will never know why and neither will I. They lied to the American people. One of the dead victim's mothers reported that Obama actually said to her that he would make sure that they would catch the video producer.

Here is a lie for you. Know what you keep telling lies no wonder no one cares what your says.

They lied.

That has not been proven. They gave what the thought was the best information they had at the time. If they have clarified with better information since, that doesn't mean they lied the first time around.

Besides, it is very relevant whether a lie matters or not. The GOP lied to start a war for oil, and you didn't even complain once you found out you were being lied to then.

Yeah, I still can't believe how much oil we're getting from Iraq. rolleyes.gif

It's true. The Republicans proved themselves incompetent on many levels with that war.

Regardless, how many lives were lost due to lies? I suppose that's ok in your mind.

Yes, Republicans like Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, etc. rolleyes.gif

What's your point? Lying is only important when it seems to be of no benefit or detriment to anyone?

This has been addressed a zillion times in a zillion debates since late 2002-early 2003: it's not about taking oil, it's about strategic control and influence in oil-rich geography.

Wrong, people in the intelligence communities knew the information they were putting out was false. However, Obama, Rice and others may have not know that the information was false. We can conclude with 100% certainty that false information was doled out as talking points.

Of course false information was doled out as talking points. It was a covert CIA operation. Why are we still talking about this?

Oh right. THe GOP are a bunch of dirtbags, trying to capitalize on the death of Americans. Total scumbag move and anyone that supports this kind of gutter politics should be ashamed of themselves.

WRONG. The information they put was the best the time while leaving out the classified parts. Want to tell me which parts of the information were wrong again for the details which were known at the time?

We have shown without a doubt that you are incorrect here.

No you have not. Again what parts of the talking points (with out including the classified information) were false? They may have left out details but for the time they were the best facts that were had that didn't lead to giving the attacks the advantage of knowing everything the Americans knew at the time.

The only dirtbags reside in the administration. The dirtbags that ignored the security requests of the ambassador, and the dirtbags that blamed the attack on a non-existent protest.

You have been proven wrong. Don't hate me for it. I am not the one putting out false, misleading or incorrect information for the government to use as talking points.

WHAT TALKING POINTS WERE WRONG. You want me to accept your promise and I have refused to this whole thread because you can't tell me one. I don't accept your premise.
