Shady Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Religion is nuts, but only about 2 - 3% of humanity seems to know it. That's ok, because only about 2 - 3% of religious people seem to be the problem. Unfortunately, they all reside in the Middle East. Quote

Shady Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Do you feel your analysis of the muslim world transcends bigotry? Yes. It's based on hard data. Just turn on your television. Also, my anti-Christian and anti-Jewish videos had no effect. I'm rather disappointed. Quote
BubberMiley Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Yes. It's based on hard data. You get predictably nasty when you realize Obama's going to win. I recall you talking about making porn videos with Obama's daughters when you realized McCain was going to lose last time. Shady Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 You get predictably nasty when you realize Obama's going to win. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Is this related to the current Middle East situation somehow? I recall you talking about making porn videos with Obama's daughters when you realized McCain was going to lose last time. Nope. I was just illustrating the hypocrisy within the mainstream media. It was obviously over your head. Quote
BubberMiley Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Nope. I was just illustrating the hypocrisy within the mainstream media. It was obviously over your head. Talking about making porn with children illustrates hypocrisy? No, I don't get it. I think you have anger issues to deal with. But the next four years will be fun rubbing Obama's victory in your face. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Shady Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Talking about making porn with children illustrates hypocrisy? No, I don't get it. I think you have anger issues to deal with. I was just using the same type of humour used toward other candidates children. But I know, one is approved of by the mainstream media, and one is an afront to all things good. But the next four years will be fun rubbing Obama's victory in your face. You should also rub it in your face too. Because it's you that'll be effected by a continued terrible U.S. economy. Rub it in the unemployed's face as well. Because it's them that'll be effected by Obama's terrible economic policy. Oh, and rub it in the face of the middle class, because it's them that'll see their median income keep declining to levels lower than when the recession ended. But yeah, you can rub it in my face too, if that's what matter most to you. Quote

I recall you talking about making porn videos with Obama's daughters when you realized McCain was going to lose last time. Now I'm starting to realize why Mark Steyn thought it prudent to discuss Sandra Fluke's "metaphorical" position as Obama's..."courtesan"! Guest American Woman Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) Where? I recall this. Tina Fey, two weeks before Bristol's 18th birthday, did a parody of Sarah Palin where she said: "I believe marriage is meant to be a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers" This, of course, was after Sarah Palin herself and the Republican party made a big issue about how Bristol was an example of "family values" because she chose to have and keep her baby and was marrying the father. They put Bristol and her situation in the spotlight, trying to 'use' it as a fine example of their values. Evidently kids and family aren't off limits for the party, but Tina Fey shouldn't have said anything about Sarah's kids. I'm inclined to agree even though Bristol was almost 18, but of course she didn't mention Bristol by name, as did Limbaugh when making fun of 12 year old Chelsea, calling her the White House dog. Anyway, this is what shady came up with: ...I have begun a great joke/story related to Obama's daughters 10 years in the future. It's quite funny, and I can't give it all away yet, but let's just say, they're starring in their very own porn film titled "Whitehouse Wh---s." When I've concluded my work, I'll make sure to submit it for the forum to read and enjoy, and of course, submit constructive criticism, on how I can touch it up to make it even better. Shady Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Benghazi, Libya (CNN) -- Three days before the deadly assault on the United States consulate in Libya, a local security official says he met with American diplomats in the city and warned them about deteriorating securityCNN So 3 days before 9/11, they were warned about a deteriorating security situation, and did nothing. Quote
Signals.Cpl Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 So 3 days before 9/11, they were warned about a deteriorating security situation, and did nothing. You mean like the warning that Bush had before the attacks in 2001 and did absolutely nothing to prevent them? I am pretty sure that September 11 2001 screw up trumps September 11 2012. Quote Hope for the Best, Prepare for the Worst
bleeding heart Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I posted a thread on it like 2 or 3 years ago. Go read it. That's a...pretty vague citation. -TSS- Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 The worrying thing about all this is that, at least here in Europe, too many people want to understand the reactions of the madding crowd. It is as if the people who are rioting were not in any manner responsible for their actions but those who provoked them are. That is equal to portraying the rioters as some mindless morons who can't help themselves. Surely that was not the intention of those people who understand the reaction of the people who are running amok. Quote

Anyway, this is what shady came up with: Ah. Thanks, AW. But it's a terrible example, and a poor comparison. (Not lecturing you on this, of course.) Whatever one thinks of the Fey bit, an SNL skit is hardly the same as the implicaton about "the mainstream media" saying similar things about "other candidates' children"; and I would think the differences in the target's ages is more than significant, as well. sharkman Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 You know what? The Obama administration shouldn't have needed any intel that attacks could be coming on the anniversary of 9/11 period. Then word leaks out about a video that is sure to piss off militant Islamists? And the administration gets caught flat footed? What an idiot. And now CNN has also released a story backing up the assertion that the the Americans were informed of the worsening situation days prior to the attack. Couple this with Obama's confusion over whether Egypt was an ally and you have an administration that is becoming a joke. Quote

Argus Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 Here's my post again, in full: So your "well then, who is worse?" response to mine is puzzling, since you think we're in disagreement...even though my remark unequivocally answers your subsequent question, and falls squarely in agreement with you. I am making the distinction between the guy who made the film, who some are saying is responsible, in whole or in part, and the unknown, unnamed individuals who deliberately provoked the anger within those Muslim countries, ie, the religious and political leaders who waved this video, or tails of this video, under the noses of the mob of illiterate goat herders and sent them off towards the embassies. In retrospect, looking back on this particular thread, you were replying to Squid who was replying to.. someone. My post would have been better made to that someone, or in agreement with Squid, for it more directly addresses that, and really doesn't deal with your followup at all. Your followup seems oddly out of conjunction, as well, for it seems to address Guyser's line of discussion instead. Argus Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 I could have used any other animal in my analogy and you partisan hacks would have reacted the same way. The issue with any such analogy is that you're basically equating the Muslim world with mindless creatures who will reflexively respond to a given stimulus in a predictable manner. Wave a flag in front of a bull and the bull will charge. But Muslims are supposed to be thinking, intelligent people, not mindless creatures of instinct. Therein lies the difficulty. Who mocked the down's syndrome child? That would be pretty low if it happened. Are you saying that it is appropriate to respond in kind to the lowest level of human discourse?
