nittanylionstorm07 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 NDP 33% CPC 30% LPC 20% GPC 8% BQ 7% http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/poll-suggests-dead-heat-for-ndp-tories-on-anniversary-of-election-149837985.html I guess all of those scandals and the Hitler comment among others are finally sticking. For sure there will be some wiggle room between now and 2015, but Harper simply cannot control his majority, scandal-laden caucus. Quote
Topaz Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I saw that poll and was surprised by it but then I saw another poll that reverse the numbers. The polls are hardly right anymore but one thing is certain, voters will vote out the party that been there for a while. The Tories will have 9 years and voters usually want change no matter who the party is. The next question is can the Liberals get enough supporters in Quebec and Ontario to make a come back, or will voters go for the NDP in the next election for change from the Tories and the Liberals. mentalfloss Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I usually wait for the averages of all polls to be released by 308.com on the 6th of every month, but I have feeling that it will be very very close for this month. Quote
jacee Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Finally a possibility of a real alternative to the corrupto-Cons and Libs! It's so bizarre that Harper thinks he should be able to get away with whatever the Libs did, when he was one of the ones trying to expose corruption. He sure is not a man of the people. In fact, he has no understanding of people-politics at all if he thinks he can pull the wool over our eyes. It just points out the rot that infects the system and the parties that have held power in the past. It will sure be a shakeup of the corporate-political machine if the NDP wins the next election, and I think that is absolutely what is necessary. Quote
Fletch 27 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Yes, I trust these polls... We can have Mayor Smitherman of Toronto and Prime-Minister Ignatieff to attest to the accuracy of these polls.. The Tories will win by a landslide again in 2015.. The Idiocies of both the NDP and Liberals are just making it to the media now! Quote

Fletch 27 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 100% true.... The buffoon who voted Liberal last time (all 8 of them) are now polling for the NDP and i could totally see a shift in the numbers.. The true communist colors of the NDP are starting to show.. "Excuse me Mr.Mulcair, your Stalin is showing".. Really? You don't really understand the NDP at all do you? No one wants jobs more than the labour unions that support the NDP. It's a myth that the NDP is anti-capitalist: What they are is anti-predatory-capitalism that drives work out of the country in search of the lowest sweatshop wages, provides unsafe working conditions and engages in conflict with workers. They are also opposed to corporate subsidies and tax breaks with no accounting of jobs created and public money going into private pockets as 'profit'. The NDP supports positive worker-management relations and quality jobs for Canadians all of which require a smooth functioning economy. They also, of course, support health care and social and educational services, like most Canadians. The NDP are more like the 'average Canadian' in that they support all of these things AND they oppose corporate corruption in ripping off Public money. The Libs and Cons, however, have a culture that includes flowing public money to the private sector with no accountability for its use - ie, political payoff. Can some of you Con types please point me to a report of the use of public funds by private corporations - eg, oil sands $1b/year - that gives any public accounting of jobs created? I haven't been able to find any. If you are concerned about where your tax dollars go ... start there. Quote
MiddleClassCentrist Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 The true communist colors of the NDP are starting to show.. "Excuse me Mr.Mulcair, your Stalin is showing".. Odd... I haven't seen an NDP policy to distribute wealth equally... Funny that. Oh wait, you are a right wing loony . Keep smokin' that weed and dreamin' those dreams. Quote Ideology does not make good policy. Good policy comes from an analysis of options, comparison of options and selection of one option that works best in the current situation. This option is often a compromise between ideologies.

The cons want to bring back conrad, a man that has paid millions in taxes created 1000's of jobs. The NDP want to bring back omar, a murdering terrorist and the cop killer Gary Freeman from america who wants to come here. Or Ronald Smith who is in prison for murdering two boys. That will make a very good ad in the next election. Bring it on. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
