On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Yes, they did make it happen, as did PMs Blair and Howard. Ding dong...Saddam is dead. And keep in mind, you only had him killed after it got embarrasing to have him on your payroll. Quote
overthere Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 No, but I do remember PM Martin begging Bush for contracts in Iraq. He had a good reason, there were many Montreal ad agencies that really needed some more cash.He couldn't just abandon them. Quote Science too hard for you? Try religion!
Topaz Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 There's one item both Bush and Cheney have to live with and they can't change.... they were call up to defend their country and Cheney stayed in school to avoid it and Bush had Bush sr. calls favours in from friends in the military to help Bush get out of the military and yet, they sent others to their deaths or come back with many health issues. Cowards. Quote

Cowards. Nope....President Bush served as a fighter interceptor pilot in the Texas Air National Guard and VP Cheney served as the Secretary of Defense. bush_cheney2004 Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 PMs Chretien, Martin, and Harper do not have any military service at all...does this make them cowards because they sent men and women off to war ? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Yes and apparently Bush has a pretty lousy record as a pilot, and boy it must have been dangerous flying around Texas. As far as Cheney's speech which is I think what this thread was supposed to be about, all I can say is who would want to listen to him anyway. And according to the ICC, both he and Bush are war criminals. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 How they "feel" doesn't mean a damn thing in court. Put Chretien on trial first. Chretien had the good sense to thimb his nose at Bush and Cheney re: Iraq, therefore he won't be on the docket with them. I don't think Chretien has any trouble going anywhere if he wants to go make a speech. Quote

I don't think Chretien has any trouble going anywhere if he wants to go make a speech. He (and his family) really like to travel to the U.S. for health care, plus no ICC worries because the U.S. never ratified the treaty. Chretien committed illegal "crimes against the peace" (Kosovo War), but this was before the ICC had jurisdiction. Chretien is an unindicted co-conspirator for "war crimes", yet he walks free in Canada. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
