msj Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) And this is a great example of why it's dumb to try and associate some kind of greater message with a sports outcome. sharkman Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Why one would have doubts about Tebow based on Denver's win/loss record is beyond me. It is not 1 against 11, you know. They should have doubts because he has not looked very good - slow and strange mechanics, apparently slow to read/comprehend coverage, lack of accuracy etc. I would be curious to see how we would develop with a QB coach like, ironically, Josh McDaniels. Well that's sort of what I was refering to. A young QB with average skills that keeps on winning won't be benched regardless of the rest of the team. An average QB that can't win may be depending on the rest of the team. That's a funny clip BTW! Quote

Boges Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Wow a discussion about Jack trying convince us the early 80's Edmonton Eskimos are comparable to the 1984 Dolphins or the 2011 Saints turns into a discussion about alcoholism. Fascinating. Regarding Tebow, I said earlier it would be Karma if Kyle Orton's Chiefs beat Denver this weekend. Quote
Shady Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 I'm sure of that... However, although Mr.Brees has broken Marino's record tonight,he's still got a long way to go to break the single season Pro football record for a 16 game season... Warren Moon...Edmonton Eskimos...5,648 in 1983... Yeah, well, Warren Moon has a long way to go to beat my 6000 yards of passing in my 16 game flag football season two years ago. Quote

How Monty1 of you Jack (sorry to say) Instead of providing evidence that would indicate that the CFL defenses Warren Moon faced in 1983 were comparable to the Defenses of the 1984 Dolphins and the 2011 Saints faced, you just claim that we have very limited football knowledge. All he has is name calling. It's his MO. You'll notice that Warren Moon never came close to the yards he passed for in the CFL when he played in the NFL. Same player, same sport, but a lot less yards. Gee, I wonder why. Quote

Now the 1983 Eskimos on the other hand could have beaten the 1972 Dolphins, the 1985 Bears and 1993 Cowboys combined. Edited December 30, 2011 by Boges Quote

Boges Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Steelers, with a better record, have to travel to Denver. That's how it always is. A lot of times the Wildcard teams have better records than the division champs they play in the first round. The Ravens had to go on the road first round a bunch when the Steelers were first in that division. Last year Nola lost to a 7-9 Sehawk team, they had to go on the road. Quote
