I don't hate anyone, it is a selfish, destructive emotion.

Answer to your question is probably not. What I don't understand is when I do express my opinion which has nothing to do with free speech, all I get is a 1st Amendment lecture from you and AW. I'm really starting to wonder what your idea of free speech means.

No one is trying to deny you your right to express your opinion. In fact, most of us agree with your opinion of the pastor: irresponsible, douchebag, etc. But, he is NOT responsible for the deaths, and he should have every right to do what he did.

Understood...but you can pretend to for profit!

Now you are being coy...we have not diminished your right to pontificate on the errors of a Florida pastor. We have only disagreed with your unproven assumption of his responsibility and culpability for murders half way round the world. We have free speech rights too...just like you!

PS: Sorry you can't burn shit in Canada...it's a lot of fun!

The Imams who were looking for the next big outrage are certainly accountable.

They do burn stuff in Canada:

Canadians hurl abuse at U.S. hockey players Canadians barrage U.S. children with insults, burn flag ....

A road trip for a group of U.S. peewee hockey players to a tournament in Montreal turned into a foray into enemy territory as the boys were barraged with anti-American insults and witnessed protesters trashing the American flag, reports the Globe and Mail.

Hundreds of college students were marching through the streets in an anti-war demonstration and seized upon the bus as a target for its anti-U.S. venom. Several demonstrators made obscene gestures toward the bus, and an American flag was dragged through the street.

At another demonstration, the Americans watched as a crowd cheered when a protester waved the Iraqi flag, and booed the U.S. flag. Next, the Stars and Stripes were doused with kerosene and ignited.

"It went up in a puff of smoke and flames, and the crowd went wild. They were all cheering," said parent Bill Carpenter.

Evidently this type of behavior is ok since no Americans rioted or killed anyone in response.

Really, then why all the posts pontificating on the first amendment? I've never questioned his right. My assumption is no less proved than yours.

You maintain that he is responsible for the murder(s)...you are wrong...that is my assumption!

Yes, we have problem with Quebec.

Trudeau had to send tanks there and declared Martial Law.

Would be nice to cut it and set adrift. But that's just dream :)

Not everyone here shares that opinion of the pastor methinks.

I maintain he bears some responsibility, if only by knowing he was going to stir up a hornets nest but going ahead with it anyway and letting someone else bear the consequences.

I don't care for your government and where it's taken you. I don't like our Canadian government for the same reasons.

I don't mind Americans.

There is a lot of truth to those links but it makes it just as easy to write off any criticism as "just Anti Americanism".

What this pastor believes he has a right to believe, and he has a right to express it. Whether we agree with him or not. As I already said, freedom of expression doesn't just apply when we're in agreement with what's being expressed.

This was my point too. If you don't support the freedom of speech for those with whom you disagree...then you don't support it, period. North Koreans are not restricted at all in saying nice things about their leader. They're completely free to do that.

As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand.
