Shady Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 Anne Coulter get out of Canada NOW!!! She'll leave when her trips over. She has a couple more speaking engagements to attend to first. Quote
waldo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 whaaa, c'mon... no bites on this earlier posting? (did Coulter really say that? Oh my!) As Ezra Levant pointed out last night, many of the most important social changes in Canada and America came about when the only power those being oppressed had, was free speech. And that particular free speech, was offensive to many. oh my! Shady... pressee... or the pressor? (trust in wikiquote!) They're [Democrats] always accusing us of repressing their speech. I say let's do it. Let's repress them. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the First Amendment. Quote
waldo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Irony or apropos? All have been victimized for the right of expression. But please...continue to defend the mobs right to censor... which dance is this one, Dancer? What degree of the organizers self-censorship is apropos? Yes, of course, right-wing conservative free speech is that speech which is contrived, which is controlled, which is manufactured. Shut er down, boys... there be way too many of em! Quote

Next thing you'll be whining about your free speech being denied... should I expect a HRC call? Quote
waldo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 couldn't have said it better! thinks it's funny that right-wingers never fail to cower in the face of non-violent protest. Quote
GostHacked Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 And where does 'Israeli Apartheid Week' fall into that quaint and precious definition? Well that is for another thread. Actually I think it IS another thread. I would say it does fall under that category. But again, another thread altogether. Quote
Moonbox Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) couldn't have said it better! Really? I thought the usual response was to laugh and sneer at the poor-me idiots who waste their time outside with retarded signs thinking they're making a difference. I'll admit there is from time to time useful and worthwhile protests, but most of them are generally filled with the biggest losers society has to offer. Pogie moochers and going-nowheres are the norm. Even so, I'm surprised Shady would go to see Anne Coulter. She's probably the nastiest and most full-of-shit Republican I've ever heard and I'm constantly surprised how people actually take her seriously. M.Dancer Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I'd need a few drinks as well. Lemme get mah beer goggles on. Yeah I have no interest in her...I've seen her a few times and a few minutes at the most.... But she was invited, paid and the fact that a mob can shut her down in an embarrassement and worthy of any totalitarian regime. bush_cheney2004 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 ...Y'all get your giggles about don Rickles or Archie Bunker, I know. But how about the guy from Seinfeld, who was doing stand up comedy and used the "N" word. That didn't go over well for him, far as I recall. He can say the word "nigger" (don't be so shy) all he wants....hell, Richard Pryor made a fabulous living doing just that. Just be prepared for the consequences. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
bush_cheney2004 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 ...U.S. Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.-"The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins." ..not in Canada it would seem. You can't even swing the fist. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Born Free Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 The Left, as an entity, does not include "everyone" on the Left. It is not as monolithic as the NDP. Nevertheless, there is a deep lack of commitment to individual freedoms on the part of the Left as a whole, because of its totalitarian inclinations. The Left feels it knows what's best for people, and therefore has the moral right, if not the obligation, to force people to conform. You now read like Anne Coulter on a sedative... Quote

waldo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 But she was invited, paid and the fact that a mob can shut her down in an embarrassement and worthy of any totalitarian regime. Dancer... quit making shit up! There was no mob... there was no threat... pay special attention to the police spokesperson quotes in the following linked article: Ann Coulter's Adventures in Ottawa: So, what happened last night? oh ya! Who shut er down, Dancer? Whaaa! Contrived, controlled, manufactured right-wing free-speech... but only for the select vetted few! Whaaa! Quote

Shady Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 Dancer... quit making shit up! There was no mob I think it's safe to say that 300 people can be considered a mob. But the biggest obstacle to the event taking place was the constant pulling of fire alarms by these mouth-breathing liberal fascists. Anyway to silence free speech. And those of you making excuses for them are as pathetic as the actual leftwing thugs themselves. Quote
Shady Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 Well that is for another thread. LOL, ohhhhhhh, how convenient for you it's for another thread! Yes, it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Translation. I have absolutely no answer for that. I can't defend it in the contest of Ann Coulter's silencing, so I'll brush it off as a topic for another time. Leftwing groups can have offensive speakers, and offensive events, but rightwing groups are forbidden of either. You're massive hypocrite. Stop posting, you're embarrassing yourself! Quote

I agree with you that it's pathetic shady, but what I find just as pathetic is that people would actually bother to go see this moron. I generally respect and agree with most of your opinions on this forum, and maybe I'm missing something here (I'll believe for my own sake you were going to see her for laughs) but the woman is so full of shit and propaganda that it's leaking out of her eyeballs. She's absolutely disgusting. Guest American Woman Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Leftwing groups can have offensive speakers, and offensive events, but rightwing groups are forbidden of either. You're massive hypocrite. Stop posting, you're embarrassing yourself! When liberal speakers are invited to speak, the conservatives don't like it. When conservative speakers are invited to speak, the liberals don't like it. Both sides have some people who protest. Both sides have some people who try to stifle the speaker. It's the same no matter who is speaking, Left or Right. Ann is great at throwing out hateful comments/insults, so if some of the same was thrown back at her, boo hoo. People have the right to protest, as that is part of free speech too. As a side note, I think a lot of Right Wingers would like Ann to shut up, too. I know I wouldn't want her representing my political views. I don't think she does represent the Right, though, any more than I think conservative nut-bar ministers represent religion. Quote
