Healthcare Reform, Town halls and mobs.

So what? More people die from auto crashes each year...so you wanna ban cars too?

This has nothing to do with sick or dying people, just who is going to pay.

So you are saying when people dieing from US health care passes deaths by car crashes is when we fix the system. How about this we make everything unsafe and that way we can compare those who should not have died becuase of a terrible health care system to:

Faulty toasters (Now that toasters no longer need to meet any standards 20,000 people a year are killed by electrocution every year no need to fix health care)

Crappy house construction (Now that there are no home building standards 50,000 people a year die from house collapse no need to fix health care)

See my point they are making cars safer every year as health care gets worse. It is broke we need to fix it. Doing nothing isn't an option.

Nope.....won't "fix" it then either. You are making an assumption that isn't true.

Faulty toasters (Now that toasters no longer need to meet any standards 20,000 people a year are killed by electrocution every year no need to fix health care)

What? We don't fix toasters any more....we shit can them and buy another one with a UL rating.

Crappy house construction (Now that there are no home building standards 50,000 people a year die from house collapse no need to fix health care)

Tornadoes don't care....

What do you mean by "we"....you're in Manitoba, right? Just pipe down and wait 6 months for that MRI....it will be fixed real soon....LOL!

K I laughed. Doing nothing is still not an option.

They will make nothing look like something. As for the sick and dying, I refer you to Dennis Miller:

"In the end, nobody really gives a shit whether you live or die.....but they do care about the money".

They do care if they live or die and that is how this questions should be framed. Doing nothing is not an option.

Sorry, that was last week's excuse, you will have to do better. Democrats have a clear majority....let's see what they can do with it.

As long as the Republicans are ready to Filibuster and we have two very sick Senators it wont be easy. I agree though that is no excuse for evil people to block a bill designed to help sick people get better though.

Stop whining.....put up or shut up. Either get the votes or fold the tent and go home.

"Evil people".....LOL!

Whooops.....there goes another one....damn!

Want a free abortion?

Personally I don't need an abortion right now I already had my one this year that is mandated to be a member of the Democratic party.

BTW just for the record is the republican solution for health care reform? 75% of the American people say doing nothing isn't an option.

I thought you were all for Afghanistan and Iraq. Personally I think people dieing in America becuase of poor health care while America spent a trillion dollars in Iraq is just wrong. Time to fix the problem doing nothing is not an option.

becuase they want do nothing

You're just repeating the same incorrect talking point.

The GOP's Health-Care Alternative

Four Republicans in Congress -- Sens. Tom Coburn (Oklahoma) and Richard Burr (North Carolina) and Reps. Paul Ryan (Wisconsin) and Devin Nunes (California) -- will today introduce a bill that moves away from federal centralization. Aptly called the Patients' Choice Act, it provides a path to universal coverage by redirecting current subsidies for health insurance to individuals. It also provides a new safety net that guarantees access to insurance for those with pre-existing conditions.

But implicit in the policy is the acknowledgment that our system of tying health insurance to the workplace is not working for upwards of 45 million uninsured Americans.

WSJ

It's not about doing nothing vs Obamacare.

"Obamacare" What makes you think he is wise enough to actually care? Americans have been so systemically beaten down by the iron fist of Darwinian capitialism - that they are conditioned to believe that they don't have a right to life unless they are rich - the god Mammon has a firm grip around the throats of the every day person - like an abused and beaten child - the child clings close to their abuser. It's like the Stockholm syndrome of medical terrorism. All Americans have a right to life - the richest most powerful wise men on earth know one thing - HEALTH IS WEALTH...this motto should be for all- in a civilized society...it's time America give up it's barbaric ways and finally settle into being evolved human beings - To allow one to die while the one who can pay lives...is bizarre.......all of America has a right to life.

I believe Roy Blunt (R-MO) introduced this bill. Know what Shady Roy Blunt lost all my respect yesterday when he lied to the American people.

Here's Blunt's lie, first reported in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, in their editorial of Aug. 17:

"I'm 59," Mr. Blunt said last week during a meeting with Post-Dispatch reporters and editors. "In either Canada or Great Britain, if I broke my hip, I couldn't get it replaced."

And Blunt told the same lie to his hometown paper, the Springfield News-Leader, according to their reprint today, Aug. 19, of the St. Louis editorial, with this note added:

Editor's note: U.S Rep. Roy Blunt also made the same claim about hip surgery to editors and editorial advisory board members at the News-Leader during a recent interview.

Now we both know that is a lie. The funny thing is when asked about uninsured getting a hip replacement in the US Blunt said they could just go the emergency room and get a hip replacement right then and there. We both know that is a lie.

You are going to have excuse for not believing Liar Mr. on health care he clearly knows nothing about it and can not fix it. Doing nothing is not an option Shady.

America does not have poor health care.....that's why Canadians visit the Mayo Clinic.

That does not prove America's health care system isn't broke becuase a minority of people from around the world go to one Health care facility in America does not prove the system is the most wonderful ever. When you have 15000 people dieing every year becuase they are scared to go to the hospitable or doctor becuase of cost your system is broke. Doing nothing is not an option.

If your mother comes down with cancer - and does not have a hundred grand in the bank - chances are YOU are going to lose your inheritance when your mother loses her house to the bank...that's poor care...and I don't give a damn about the poor and don't care attitude. When extreme heath cost destroy a families wealth - then there is no inheritance - form the estate - and in effect no start up money for the next generation - hense you are KILLING your middle class...and making them poor - so in effect health care as it stands in America is already clever socialism - the insidious kind. You are creating a nation of people that are all equal..with a rich ruling elite - that's socialism - Maybe you guys have always been commies?

AS mantras go, that's pretty weak. Tell us what you are going to do (as if you have any say in the matter).

Americans have say in our matters - so we have say in yours. You tell us to go to Afghanistan - so we go..we give you a suggestion on broadening your benevolence - and suddenly...it's "what buisness is it of yours?" - we live in the same house - just two different connecting rooms - what happens in the south effects the north and vise versa.
