Im sorry but this tom foolery has gone along far enough IMO. There is an obvious agenda against Blackwater going on and as far as I am conserned it utter horse shit. Blackwater has an impecible record. Everything I have read. Everything I saw on the Senate hearing where Prince was questioned leads me to believe he is an intelligent and decisive man. The problem I see is that Blackwater gets blamed for every malf up made by a private contractor. Theres hundreds of them operating between Iraq and Afghanistan. They provide an Invalubale service to the military and they do it better than anyone else.

The issue I have with it is how hard is it for I would guess around a 200 to 225 pound man to hold down a 115 pound girl. I eaten meals bigger than that little thing.

Look, I can not exactly say I am innocent of name calling in the past. But I do make it a point to avoid it as much as possible. Why is it that some of you feel it is necessary to make your point by attacking the actual poster. Is it not possible for you to respond to a post with Why your way of thinking is correct with out saying YOUR WRONG. For example. If someone were to post a thread saying "Deport Muslim extremist out of America" Instead of going in there saying OMG YOUR A RACIST PIECE OF TRASH. How about go in there and argue why it would be worse for us to do that and back up your explanation with thought/logic/or facts/stats. It is received a whole lot better IMO. At this point when i read a thread to sort out the discussion its like I have to mentally discard half the thread because its things like "Well based on your other post and your IDIOTIC this and that." We have intelligent posters here, so use those god given smarts and post your opinions instead of just attacking the other poster. Basing your opinions off a posters old threads is just weak. Don't go into someone's old post and find something that contradicts themselves and bring it into that new post. It shows a willingness to be vindictive. It all goes back to the simply statement. "Show them why you are right, not why they are wrong." For the record, Greg, I wish Maple leaf had a near zero tolerance policy of personal insults. It would attract intelligent posters who maybe are more sensitive then some of us thick skinned folks and would generally make for more interesting discussion. After reading this entire thread twice. I have some points to make. First of all, aside from the personal attacks, this has been one of the most intresting threads I've read in a while. Feel free to correct any wrong assumptions. Point 1- While we do owe a fair amount of are culture to Middle Eastern thinkers. The arabic alphabet and numbering system are not a product of Islam but a product of the societies pre-dating Islam. Islam did not even exsist until 6th century if I am not mistaken. Point 2- How can you be a racist agaist a religion. Islam the religion is found in many different racial and cultural and even subcultural groups. Therefore to say in no certain terms "I dont like Islam" is not the same as saying "I don't like blacks". Point 3- The core issue here as I see it. Is about cultural assimilation or cultural adaption. If I moved to Saudi Arabia would my wife and children be able to dress the same way there as in the USA? No they would not. (I dont have a wife or child, im making a point) I would be forced to adapt to the culture that I lived in. So why should an Islamic family not make the same concessions when they move to a different country? They expect to have there laws obeyed, why should we expect any differnt. In western society today, stoning women for adultry and/or showing there hair is not excepted. We call that murder. This is OUR society, if they want to live under Islamic law then they should do so in an Islamic country. We should not have to break our cultural values to bend for another culture. It is there job to adapt to our set of laws and principles as best they can within the confines of Islam. It is not are job to set are laws and value based on the small minority of immigrants. Point 4-Is Islam more violent then any other religion in the world? I don't really know. If we are looking at the span of thousands of years of human history, probably no more so that christianity or any other relgion. If we are looking at the last 30 years, hell yes. In the last 30 years Islam has been the cause of more butchery around the world than any other religion (1977-2007). It is really not surprising to me that people like ScottSA have strong anti-Islamic feelings. In the 1940's there was strong anti-german and anti-Japanese feelings. Must have had something to do with World War one and World War two, by golly haven't we been fighting in muslim nations for the better part of the last 25 years? (Bosnia, Iraq 1, Iraq 2, Kosovo, Mogadishu, etc)

Ever been in a warzone? Ever been fired at. Ever heard of something called the fog of war? Also the 20 people killed are you certain it was Blackwater employees? theres over 170 private contractor companies working security in Iraq today. I can brush them off easily because its a warzone and they have a less then 1 percent actual use of force in all there missions combined. Not even the police in the United states can boast that. As far as private firms under contract by the State department any crime committed in a foriegn country make you susceptible to be charge for a crime under US law. If they wanna extradite him back to iraq for sentencing then that would be up to the department of justice now wouldn't it.

There was a House committee that interviewed the CEO of blackwater yesterday. I stand corrected they are doing a great job. Of all the people they had to protect they have not loss a single one. Which is an impeciable record to me. What disturbed me about the proceedings is the Democrats, who obviously had an agenda here, were siteing two specific incidents as the "REASON" for the interview. One involved the deaths of 2 blackwater pilots and 3 US army personel including a Lt. Colonel. Apparently the pilots crashed into a mountain side and it was deemed from listening to the black box that they were playing slalom with the afghani mountains. Never a good idea. The 2nd incident that they harped on was a Blackwater employee got drunk on christmas eve and killed a guard to the vice president of Iraq. Blackwater fined him thousands of dollars, fired him, and put him on a plane back to the USA within 2 days. The Democrats went into a tizzy fit about how they should have prosecuted him and held him there etc. Well Blackwater has absolutely no authority to charge anyone with anything. It was quite funny to actually see the democrats lights blink on when they realized it was the US government that should have charged him with homocide. As a last act of defiance to a dead argument they accused Blackwater of covering it up by sending him home to the US. The third and finally thing, which broke the camels back, as far as me continuing to watch this witch hunt was they chastised him on innocent civilians getting killed. Blackwater went thru the ROE. Did you know that in the 18,000 plus missions that they run in the last 5 years. they have fired there weapons in anger less than 1 percent of the time. Do the math. Apparently an Iraqi civilian was on the side of the street and got hit and killed by a riccotchet when they fired on a suicide bomber. Apparently it would have been better if they all let themselves get blown up then accidnetly and freakishly kill one civilian. to summarize: the whole thing was a joke and everyone in there knew it.

They are not the best, they are just well financed and large. Theres an outfit out of England thats a small group of former SAS and Navy Seals that are probably the best trained merc unit out there. Or so I am told.

Actually thats fountain head. Atlas Shrugged is a different story there chief. Atlas shrugged centers around Ayn Rand's perfect man, John Galt. Who takes all the "DOers" of the world and basically fucks the rest of us. (thats a very simplistic explanation but fairly accurate really) the chief motto of John Galt is "Im the man who stopped the engine of the world." etc etc etc. And for the record I dont support an Imperalistic view of the United States, If I had it my way we would concern ourselves with protection within this country only and only import and export with other countries, no defense pacts, no humanitarian aid, no protection from US troops. Thats a nice post In my opinion. To me it summarizes WHY jewish people, as a whole, have managed to survive and thrive. I wanted to briefly touch on a subject that kept coming up through most of the post that were actually on the subject and not on ScottSA racial beliefs. Who does Israel belong to? I kept seeing people refer to the natives who were not consulted when modern day Israel/Palestine (if you prefer) was drawn up by the British. Let's be perfectly clear here. The land that is Palestine was traditionally a Jewish land. The fact that the Arab's and European's took it through out history does not change the fact that it belongs to the original Jewish people. Now I realize theres alot more to that then such a black and white interpetation. They definetly could have handled the situation better back in the later 40's early 50's. But if you look at the situation from the angle of 'OLD European colonies that have gone down the shitter' it could have been alot worse then it already has. (Rwanda, Belgium colony, Vietnam, French colony, etc.) The reality of the situation is the power vaccum left after world war one and two in the 2nd and 3rd world with the fall of the European empires created these situations. Today were are simply dealing with the consquences. For god sakes guys leave the personal attacks at the door. ScottSA you need to learn to back off your rhetoric. Labeling people into groups and then making generalizations about them as a whole is fairly weak guy.
