  1. Your Natural rights do exsist, but if you want to be realistic about protecting them, You have to realize that governments throughout history have proven extremely efficent at one things. Stamping out natural rights. You might call it paranoid or "gun nut" But heres the reality. 1 history has proven me right. 2 There are great examples of countries where gun ownership is allowed. (Ex. Switzerland)
  2. If we Vote out guns we wont be a democracy for long. Next will go your freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom to assemble. If you think the only people having guns is the government is a good thing you are clueless. Besides I served this country for eight years, do you think I need you to tell me about democracy? I lived and breathed it. Sweated for it. And if you think I would let people like you take away the freedoms that my friends have shed there blood for you are dead wrong. Timothy McVeigh was a coward who killed women and children because he did not have the ability to really effect change. No maam, take away guns, democracy in the USofA is dead, and everything every soldier fought for for the last hundred years dies with it. For that, I willingly would fight against the government so that every sacrifice that we who have SERVED does not go to waste. http://www.guncite.com/journals/reycrit.html
  3. No your insane to completely trust the government to make the best choices for you. Governments that govern the least govern the best. How many innocent people have been convicted by cops who plant evidence just to get a conviction? How many corrupt politicians are there? Yes I believe the US government is the best that humanity has ever come with in regards to civil rights. But if a bunch of peasants rebelled against the British government in 1776 over taxation without representation, how could I not over the violation of the constitution of the United States. and I apologize for the thread jack. GO PALIN!
  4. Thank you for posting on topic, most of the rest of the posters are using my topic to simply attack eachother. I wish mod's deleted post that were simply personal attacks. Anyways, Im not advocating private citizens having mac 10's with teflon bullets. But I dont see why a semi automatic AR 15 (like an M16) is a threat to Citizen on Citizen killings by gun. They simply have not been used for that purpose that much. the top 10 guns used are all shot guns and pistols. And you can make a fairly persuasive argument that shotguns are the best weapon to keep in the home because of the way the it fires. (less likely to blow through the wall and kill someone)
  5. Figured this would be a great topic to discuss. We would get some passoniate responses either way. First a few things Gun control 2nd Amendment My personal Belief I believe that the 2nd amendment is one of the pillars of democracy. The ability to protect are families and ourselves from individuals and GOVERNMENT is a sacred right. And its one I would die to protect. Gun control is a violation of my civil rights. Now I don't think people need fully automatic weapons to protect there families. But I don't think a semi automatic ar-15 qualifies as a danger to society either. If you look at the top 10 guns used in crime it does not even make the list. Anyways thats my 2 cents. Discuss.
  6. I held off from commenting tell I had read a little bit more on her. Love this pick. I take my 2nd amendments rights very very seriously. They day some government agent comes to collect my guns is the day i become a terrorist to the US. This women is by far one of the best candidate that they could have come up with. I encourage all of you to look into her Bio. I am now more firmly behind the Mccain party then ever.
  7. Well since we started this discussion Myata. Im going to go ahead and do something that might shock you and agree with you on almost all points. Except that I believe that once Russia moved past Gori they lost the Moral Imperative, If thats ultra important to warfare anyhow, I think its fair to say your analysis has been proven correct up to this point. Now going forward lets see how the Russians handle it going forward. If they loot everything from Gori to Poti then we will be back in here arguing about this all over again. But until then, nice work.

  9. Leave it to the Italians to ask for forgivness for being Italian. If they had any back bone they would tell the Liberians vaffanculo
  10. My youngest siblings recon unit is headed out to Iraq in September at some point. Semper Fi Marines get some!
  11. Yes yes, Lets spin a joke post into a thread about intelligence. But you are correct Ive only been to Toronto 4 times, Montreal twice, and Windsor...12 times or so.
  12. As if every politicain does not hand out favors every single day.
  13. If he files the law suite he will lose. I checked out my season tickets for the Tigers, read the back of them. It says the Tigers or police have the right to remove you for any reason what so ever from the stadium. Its all in legal speak of course but goodluck getting paid on that. Take it from someone who has been to about 70+ tigers game in two years, I see people get tossed out of there all the time. Detroiters like to drink. I don't care if you don't like the National Anthem at sporting events. Its called respect. Not for the country but the people that come there that do appreciate it. Show some class.
  14. America respects its own Interest. Like thats changed from country to country and Nation to Nation for the span of human history. I mean come one what is there really going on in Canada. Your a Frozen popsicle of a country for what 7 months out of the year? Although you got some good culture in Toronto!
  15. O i got this one beat. I was at a Tigers game this summer and it was Military day or something because there was a battalion of US army troopers there. I think they were POTG types. I didnt recgonize there unit as a combat unit. Anyways. I had some sitting infront of me and infront of them was some Obviously Islamic believe people. I don't think they were Arab but maybe Central asia. Anyways, The National Anthem comes on and these people turn there back to the flag. The soldiers I could tell did not like that but they kept there mouths shut about it. Well the game goes on and they get ready to sing god bless America. And these people turn there back again. This time one of the soldiers politely says "Hey guys if you don't want to hear it thats fine, but could you act respectful to the rest of us." And these fans just start saying awful stuff to these soldiers. Like I hope you die in combat. I hope an Arab cuts your head off. Just really off the wall shit. Well by now somebody has gotten the crowd managers attention about it. And he calls in the crew. And they escort every single one of them and seat them in a different area away from the soldiers. Come to find out I guess those were not even their seats.
  16. Surely, I think anyone seeking Public office should have to come up through the ranks. I don't believe people who are the rich kids of influential people should be able to seek public office until they have served in some form a service to the great wealth. IE MILITARY, government public welfare, Firefighter, etc etc. The reason why I feel this way is look at the History of people being appointed/ elected soley on the basis of status. Certain Civil war Officers were Appointed because of there class, and President Bush everyone will agree got into office on the coat tails of his dad. I dont consider his Military history to be anything but bullshit btw. Weekend warrior that barely ever showed up that he was. Give me a Marine. John Kerry is a good example of somoene who in my eyes has earned the right to seek public office. John Mccain is the same.
  17. Its nuts for me to think that Serving your country in either the Military or other government function should be a pre-req before taking public office? How so? Leadership leads from the Front, But in order to Lead you must first serve. Never ask another man to do something you wouldn't willingly do yourself first.
  18. Key Votes on Important issues by candidate http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congres...0167/key-votes/ Barak Obama http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congres...0303/key-votes/ John Mccain Bare with me i got to edit John Mccain
  19. Im voting for Mcain. Simple to me. Experience, Served his country (as far as im concerned that should be a qualification for public office barring physical disability), Intelligent, And I like his voting record. You can disagree with me all you want, but come election day, thats who my vote is going to.
  20. There I fixed that for you
  21. Lets see Germany-Surrendered twice Japan- Nuked twice Korea- Only held out because of influx of Chinese soldiers. US and S korea lost 78,000 KIA China and N Korea lost a Median guess of 500.000 Not that they couldnt lose a million and keep on coming Vietnam- 60,000 US soldiers dead, versus How many Viet Kong and NVA regulars? I think the kill ratios were what 10 to 1. So thats 600,000 dead. But hey ill give you this one. Just Incase you bring it up number of US deaths in Iraq due to combat 3370 Number of Iraqi COMBATANTS Killed 10,000 in intial invasion another 19 thousand since. so Roughly 30,000. again a 10 to 1 body count. thats still batting .750 Not many people know this but shortly after the vietnam war. China and Vietnam got into it. Vietnam stopped them cold and it only cost them about a million people to do it. But they did do it.
  22. Exactly, the New F22's would wipe the floor with anything Russia could put in the air. Actually they would wipe the floor with anything anyone could put in the air. Did you know the pilots can actually see through the planes. And that their FnF missles can be guided by site. So they could be flying side by side with a plane and actually fire a missle to the side. O yeah and most importantly they are completely stealth. The Migs wouldnt even know they are there till there Radar started screaming at them as the missle closed in.
  23. Thats a tough question because of Treaties, and because basically nobody wants someone else telling them what to do. No country wants someone else telling them how to live or what to do with there money, military, etc. i guess the real question is at what point do we draw a line in the sand and say. "IF you do this or support this or act in this manner, the major players in the world are going to fuck your world up." THe only problem is that makes the Major Players accountable to no one. Its definetly a quandry of world politics.
  24. The question is is the BUFFER zone going to be occupied? or a DMZ. IF its occupied how is Russia going to handle if the US say...puts a base right by Gori. Or if the world puts a ton of economic pressure on Russia to completely withdraw into South Ossetia?
  25. My topic Up to now. Who has the Moral right? THe only for sure answer? Who ever has the bigger guns. Thats the reality of the situation. We can argue all day about who has the "moral" upperhand in this situation but the reality is morality never stopped a Russian or Georgian tank from rolling over your house. My question to you all is where do we go from here? From the Russian stand point when do you feel satisfied that you have accomplished your mission and not be seen as bowing to the demands of NATO? From Georgia's stand point how do you get your country back and fix the damage the Russians have done? From the US and Nato's stand point how do you send a message to Russia that invasion of former Eastern bloc countries is not acceptible.
