Your the one that has started all this, with the down arrow stuff....and not just with me but others as well, now i get you may not like all my posts, but you've made it a point to f*ck with all of them... so don't play tit for tat, when your the guy that has started with all of it...

I'll step up and apologize for my behavior, and will correct it going forward and i would like it is you do as well.

If you don't have time to post what you don't like about my posts then don't reply at all, the down arrow is meaningless not only for you but for the other posters reading your remarks. As well, it tells me you can't be brother to respond which is a sign of disrespect...be like me giving you the finger and not telling you why...

No, it began when you and I disagreed on some military stuff. You took serious offence and began to belittle me and my take on it.

We have different outlook and careers in the military.

My experience, as a CWO in NDHQ allowed me to see and hear and be part of many things including bi weekly CWO meetings where CWO's of Army, Navy and Air Force got together to discuss common issues. I got to learn a lot about the other branches and their issues. I know a lot more about other branches and their issues than you think.

Also, it is important for you to understand that we who served, did so at the will of our leaders. Some, many actually, military persons did not see "action" over seas but that does by no means indicate that we are lesser military persons. There is a lot more in the Canadian Military than the Army.

The down arrow is the only way to disagree. Not every disagreement requires a comment so, it is what it is. Perhaps an new icon for disagreement would stop that.

I too apologize and will stop.

I had a small stroke and was not really able to type and am much better now. I refuse to get involved in the political and election name calling and rhetoric though. I am reading how abusive and demeaning the posts have become.

I guess we see this entire disagreement in different lenses.

Yes we did have much different careers, and i have stated many times in the course of our posts that i have much respect for SAR techs and what they did, i've seen many Infanteers go that direction.

I want to add, it was not my intention to portray the infantry as the king of the military, if i have learned anything we are nothing if we are not a team, meaning every trade and element adds something to the military, and mission one can not stand alone and expect to be victorious in any task without the many different trades....

Me seeing combat does not mean i or the thousands of others that did are any better than any other military member, those that did however have some insight into how battle works, ..does not mean we are better , just have a different way of looking at things...

Looking back upon it all ,there are much more days i wish i had never seen combat it is not as cracked up as you may think it is, very little glory and a lot of grief......it made me a better soldier, but i lost way more than i gained...

As for the Army being king of the sand box....thats a topic for much later...

Hope your your health comes back there are only a few things we should care about, one is your health, family, friends....and of course the Regiment....

  2. PP receives nod from some of Canadas largest banking firms, along with several investment firms they are saying PP is the best bet to bring Canada's economy back on track....Something Carney has been touting that he is the best option as he was a banker....well it seems his peers have other ideas... Business leaders, ex-bank heads throw support behind Poilievre with open letter
  3. During my time in Germany, i had many opportunities to travel and walk the battlefields to see if i could understand what those soldiers went through to prepare myself,to be a better soldier...what it did show me was the tremendous cost they paid, on both sides..., i traveled and went to several concentration camps and found out just how evil war can make people.... then my first tour of Afghanistan i got to experience war close and personal...nothing my training taught us had prepared me for the horrors we would do to each other...the smell of blood in the air, the smell of rotten flesh, the sight of ripped apart bodies, pieces of them hanging with bits of clothing still wrapped around flesh in trees after an airstrike had hit a small villa , or the bodies of someone that had been flatten by a long convoy of trucks and tracks vehs, flatten beyond recognition with just a tuff of hair telling you it was once a human....War touches all your senses...and leaves unforgettable memories that will never fade....That's what every politician should experience, before sending men and women into battle ....Walking in their footsteps is the first baby step....into understanding war, and why men fight....but actually experiencing it all....because words do not do the experience justice....
  4. this is just a blip in the news cycle, liberal voters don't care about this, it is conservative nonsense....just like the foreign interference scandall nothing to see here....just like the other chinese connections that have come up, and tie carney to the not so friendly chinese...first the loan for Brookefield, then the meeting with a group with CPP ties, then the First MP that spoke of turning in a conservative mp for a reward, then one that has direct ties and invitations to a PRC military function. I get it investigating a MP background is a long process...but he is the PM and should have some pull at CSIS or RCMP...
  5. Smith will get along with PP just fine, pipe lines will be built, getting more oil and gas to market ...more money put into tech to control carbon emission's ...Their is not urgency to control green house gases at least not in the liberal government......Unless it is a global effort, sh!t even justin has said as much....all they do is punish Canadians, harm our productivity and hurt our competitiveness..how do you compete with the US when they have no taxes on carbon or any other climate change initiatives.
  6. Here is another character reference of mark carney this time from a banker who worked under him.....
  7. That's not true, remember what the drunken liberal mp "Climate barbie" said, if you repeat it loud enough, often enough it will become true...
  8. That could be possible, that PP is not the man everyone thought him to be,there is always next time.... but we are still only half way through this campaign, and no one is certain who will be elected... The only option for you is to move..... Your right if you want change you need to start with your voting habits, we have already seen 3 liberal terms and frankly nobody is impressed, and Carney is not going to change that, he has been advising the liberals for 4 years now, his MP's are the same MP's that have brought us this mess we have today....you somehow think that carney is going to change our countries fortune, you keep banging your head on the same rock, expecting a different result, your right it is madness, ....Conservatives are not the problem here it's liberals and gullible liberal voters....
  9. wow...i hope your voting liberal this year...
  10. Sure, he is ducking the media for a few days, he is taking off the long weekend, and you're joking about tariffs, right Trump has no new tariffs on Canada....he is not defending anyone right now....
  11. I don't hate the military, it has given me everything i have today,my career, my wife, my family, even my wealth if you can call it that... What i don't like is some politician or group blowing smoke up my arse to get a few votes....Canadians have spoken on our military for decades, and while my dream is to have Canada spend 2 % GDP....spending 5 % is a pipe dream...or as i said before smoke up my arse...and this guy is doing just that to get a few votes, and take advantage of your vote...I mean lets be realistic here for a centrist he is coloring outside the lines a lot.
  12. Good luck with that... Their military spending is nothing more than a pipe dream..... You do know that we spend close to 37 billion dollars now and are only at 1.29 % of GDP....to get to 2 % of gdp it would take another 20 billion investment....to get to 5 % as they suggest it would take would require canada to spend 143.250 billion on defence in total....where do you think they could get that funding...OH thats per year as well....it's only 106 billion more .... I think we should concentrate on getting to 2 % first since that is the ground floor of defence spending...before announcing pipe dreams....
  13. CBC also did a story on the reported sizes of both liberal and Conservative rallies, and found both sides are inflating their numbers a lot...
  14. Making homes even more affordable.... Canada Votes | Poilievre to cut development taxes to boost home building | Watch
  15. And here we go again Mark Carney will try to convince the globe that carbon pricing is the next new thing....DId justin not already try and sell them on carbon pricing....not like this....Carneys carbon pricing will be more confusing, more double speak so no one understands what it is trying to do....it's is the liberals carbon pricing with a huge amount of lipstick on it...and it is designed once again to punish all those that take part in it...And liberal voters are eating this up....like a fat kid eating smarties... Terence Corcoran: Mark Carney’s plan for ‘superpower’ Canada tricks voters
  16. This article breaks down Canada's efforts on the climate crises...."one of the first of liberal parties talking points was even if Canada stop using fossil fuels all together it would NOT affect global emissions at all"....Which leaves the question of Why even have a policy that does nothing more than punish Canadians, knowing that the Liberal party went ahead and implemented that policy anyways.... one of the reasons why Canada's contribution would be useless...is 70 % of the globe does not have a carbon tax, despite Justins failed attempts to convince other nations to jump on board, he continued with punishing Canadians. Key words here are Justins remarks, unfairly penalized....and yet the liberal party continues to support Carbon taxes. Carbon taxes put our nation at a competitive disadvantage, with 70 percent of the global nations. To illustrate this point, take a look at B.C.’s experiment with carbon taxes, a model for Trudeau’s tax. B.C. imposed its carbon tax in  2008. The provincial government claimed it would reduce emissions by a third in 12 years. “By 2020 and for each subsequent calendar year, B.C. greenhouse gas emissions will be at least 33 per cent less than the level of those emissions in 2007,” reads the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets Act. As of 2022, the latest year that government data has been published, B.C.’s emissions are higher than they were before its carbon tax was imposed. The takeaway is clear: politicians promised the carbon tax would reduce emissions, but emissions went up. At the federal level, the government doesn’t even know how much the carbon tax is reducing emissions, if at all. Conservative MP Dan Mazier asked if the federal government measures “the annual amount of emissions that are directly reduced from federal carbon pricing.” Here’s the response from former environment minister Steven Guilbeault, on Jan. 29, 2024: “The government does not measure the annual amount of emissions that are directly reduced by federal carbon pricing.” One would think that a government that convinced Canadians that there is a Climate emergency, and we as a nation take this very seriously or risk our planet burning up....that our government would atleast bring in policy that would make a difference...But they knew all along that any policy they developed would be useless, and just punish Canadians....but they went ahead with it anyways.... Just a note here the US does not have a carbon tax and somehow they managed to reduce their emissions further than Canada did, with 10times the population... And although carbon taxes have been canceled for individuals, it is still applied to industry...with Carney already telling us he has no intentions on scrapping it but increasing it ....KNOWING it does not make a difference in climate change.... Liberals promised the carbon tax would reduce emissions, but emissions went up
  17. The left does not like these plans ,it puts money in the pockets of every canadian that wants to build a home, and not into carneys pockets.........since it did not come from a liberal it must be garbage....this is where we are at today....the left is foaming at the mouth...
  18. he is dishonest, i mean the guy took credit for a dead guys work during the financial crises....everything he has touched has turned to shit....but here in Canada all we see is his oxford education...and that he can walk on water.
  19. Another example of why politics should be taken out of the purchasing of military equipment.... Might not be operational until 2030....And yet the C-27J are flying in SAR roles right now as we speak and have been of r some time now...
  20. Thats how they sell new policies, they attach emotion to them to get them noticed by the public, like climate change, where they used fear to sell it, or tariffs from the US, the liberals used fear,
  21. Well with the greens well she is in politics for the booze.....and NDP being are in it for the pensions....... ....there is only two parties that produce any results for Canadians...So ya get er done...a vote for either is one less for the liberals...
  22. Well i'd be embarrassed to say which one of the left's party i was supporting as well, so your secret is safe with me....
  23. I'm not the guy voting for the liberals , you are, so which one are you short sighted or stupid...
  24. Ya canadians are short sighted or are really stupid...to give the liberals another chance...
