Out of curiosity, can't men be role models for your daughter? Why should gender/sex matter at all for a role model? To be fair though, with respect to politicians, there aren't really any good role models, male or female.

To be fair, everyone's assumption was that Trump wouldn't win the primary. So I don't think assumptions are very useful way to argue that she didn't win due to sex.

Again, the race was really close. If there were a bigger discrepancy, sex wouldn't have been the deciding factor.

There are lots of people voting for Hillary Clinton because she is female and there is a fair sized movement that it's time for a woman. For most of Hillary Clinton's career, being female was a disadvantage. But for this election it's an advantage. Being female is political advantage nowadays, be it Canada, USA, Germany, etc.

This whole thing is too suspicious. What kind of a coup only lasts a few hours and only contains 3000 troops in a country of 75 million? ISIS has 10 times that many troops. Why would the people who performed the coup attempt it if they had no ability to succeed... unless they were fed false information by someone who would benefit from a failed coup? Who benefits the most from this failed coup? Erdogan. It wouldn't surprise me if Erdogan caused the whole thing.

The house of commons can study bills and make changes before they are passed. Don't need a senate for that.

It can block essentially all legislation it wants. Historically it hasn't done that because historically it's been filled with party hacks by the prime minister, so usually the party in power of the senate is the same as the party in power in the HoC. If you want more study, why don't you instead use the money wasted on the senate on universities and fund universities to do more studies? That is more cost effective.

Yep. The West should have never intervened against the Islamic State when it started growing in 2013. Instead they should have let it grow until our so called 'allies', Turkey and Saudi Arabia had to deal with it. Then all the islamists can take each other out and the West wouldn't be in huge debt nor targeted.
