  1. Have you noticed that even the Communist Broadcasting Corporation has punted her?
  2. Your source leaves a lot to be desired. I may be forced to go to rabble.ca
  3. I seriously hope you forgot the [/sarcasm] at the end of that post. Did you ninja edit the smiley?
  4. Three US Senators saw it? I call BS. Let's see a link.
  5. I can't speak for all universities, but I do know about the U of Alberta. A long time ago they set up a business unit. The pharmacology industry doesn't mess with them anymore.
  6. I think the word "hoax" says it all. A little revisionist on your part when you get called maybe?
  7. That was about as stupid as anything I have read on this forum, and that says a lot.
  8. It was supposed to be paranoia runs deep, like in the song. Not retard! He's dead. If it was a fake, this is the stupidest time to "publish" it. Get a brain.
  9. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .................. No.
  10. If that's true, she had no business running in the first place. So Harper was denigrated for muzzling his MPs all this time and Unhappy Jack gets a bye?
  11. And the word fair keeps being bandied about in this and other threads. Define fair. A fair salary is what the market will pay. Is it fair that some dingbat who can hit a baseball makes multi-millions per year? Yes, because someone is willing to pay that. Is it fair that a movie star makes multi-millions for a few months, if that, of work? Yes, because someone is willing to pay that. Is it fair that some long-haired freak who can beat on a guitar and shout makes billions? Yes, because someone is willing to pay that. Is it fair that some guy or guyette is getting $8.00/hr for flipping burgers? Yes, because that's all that market is willing to pay.
  12. the bank fees you pay are insignificant. They are primarily funded by interest on loans and investment income and dividends on the bank's investments.
  13. I did mine on line. They wanted the number in the household, age and sex. Then they asked about three or four different ways if it was a same-sex relationship or not. I got a kick out of that. Mine didn't ask about religion at all. So I guess there are still different versions.
  14. ^^^^^^ THIS
  15. And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle but.......................
  16. The all news radio station here in Vancouver had a story that the Twitterers screwed Elections Canada by adopting a code. Like I just bought no apples (Green), twelve oranges(NDP), seven strawberries and 14 blueberries. By now you can figure it out for yourself. How would that one work out in court if the feds decided to play hardball?
  17. Finally, someone who understands. Add in the unions and there is trouble in River City. With a capital T.
  18. Well the Libs still have Fry and you still have Libby. Harper got rid of her.
  19. And every - oh, let's say licensed car mechanic is equally talented as all the rest?
  20. When I lived in London, England a thousand years ago, they had a two tier system. The problem was that the doctors in private practice set their own prices, and paid themselves handsomely. The doctors in the public system were paid by the government, and it was a fraction of what the private guys got. It was pretty pathetic at that time. Apparently it is better now. Anyone know how they fixed it?
  21. I really disagree. Martin is about the only one who got this right. The whole western world, and I'm limiting my statement to that because I'm not familiar with the rest, seems to forget that it isn't that much of a revenue problem as it is a SPENDING problem.
  22. Again, a serious question. We think of the Inuit and Native Canadians as being the same. But working with some Native Canadians in northern Alberta Showed me the animosity between the Metis and the treaty types. I was surprised. And there is a lot of mis-trust between Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Is there any significant Inuit - Native Canadians mis-trust? (I am assuming that the term First Nations includes them both.)
  23. FTFY
  24. I'm about as far from a Rae fan as can be, but being a westerner, I also don't have the hate or the scorn some on this forum show as he hasn't really affected me that much. But I am suspicious of an NDP'er going to the Liberals. For some reason, more so than a Liberal going to the NDP. His speech last night as shown on CBC was pretty well done. But a bit of "Yes, Iggy is done, now it's my chance!" sort of peeked out from behind the melodious sounds he was making. Sort of got a bit of power hungry snake impression out of it.
