  1. Obviously not from BC. These "Liberals" are as right winged as they come. Unfortunately, people didn't realize that when voting for them.
  2. Yes, I agree that you are Argus. Fortunately the majority of Canadians support my view point.
  3. What a bunch of racist bigoted bs.
  4. Islamic religious services is by far not the only source of disinformation leading to violence. There is "evidence: that Bush and Co used forged, fraudulent, and unfounded "evidence" in its quest to have the UN approve the invasion of Iraq.
  5. I don't buy into the theory that this was staged by the USA government. Bush took advantage of the situation to eventually invade Iraq but I don't believe that even he is capable of the type of evil this theory presents. There was in fact, a fourth airliner that crashed with the help of citizens aboard, before it reached its target. Bush's subsequent actions and attitudes do not need this type of embellishment. Flying out the Bin Laden family AFTER the attack on WTC while refusing to allow planes with ordinary American citizens to land...???????? Invading Iraq despite being shown his "proofs" were false, fraudulent or lacking substance is enough for me. Using bribery and threats in an attempt to push other countries into approving his plans was dispicable. Let's stick to what we know as rock solid proof of his arrogant bullying and disdain for international laws.
  6. Well; what I am saying is that providing "proof" to certain people is useless. They do not offer credible sources nor accept your sources and when it is a consensus and an opinion?????? Why should I waste my time on someone who does not show any respect and discuss in good faith. It is tit for tat. If you have a reasonable point of view; supported by facts; then it will be quite happy to provide my sources.
  7. Well just wait to see how much money will be wasted on this RAV line and the Olympics related items like the Sea to Sky; You ain't seen nuthin yet. Plus it is Campbells selling out of BC Assets and jobs to foreign intersts that really burns my butt. Downgrading our hospitals and cleanliness/ safety of hospitals (those that CAN get in now for treatment) raising our premium and closing down services. Look at all that got delisted. Not to mention all the cuts he made to women's and children's ministries and seniors. Such a warm hearted ogre.
  8. Nope!!!!! Gordon Campbell will be all the reason I need to vote NDP. I voted for neither the "Liberals (right wing conservatives) or NDP last election; but next time around NDP...They're for me!!!!!! Not just a "get rid of Campbell at any cost" either. They are moving a little more to the center; plus It is time we gave a female leader a chance to show these males how to run a government.
  9. I use good reliable mainline sources; you only choose to believe right wing sources. So why bother; it is a waste of time. You have your mind set and will not change. case closed.
  10. We do have international law and the UN was set up to deal with those type of situations. We need to be able to speed up UN reaction time and every country quit playing games and biased voting. If there is a real danger; no one would blame a country for honest self defense but not like the bogus excuses used to attack Iraq. In other words; if a country does use pre emptive strikes they better come up with very valid proof of danger to their own country.
  11. Victoria government ministerial assistants whom are drug dealers not Vancouver drug dealers.
  12. More of that I tried it but didn't inhale. Ancient history and not worthy of bringing up. It was at best a cheap shot. I am not a big fan of Nancy Reagan but find that to be an irrelevant cheap shot. Come on Big Blue; you are young but that is no excuse.
  13. Me too. I thinks since we are a multicultural country we should get a day off for Hannakah, Chinese New years, etc. The more the better.
  14. Let's face it gentlemen (I presume) Most of the "statements" are opinions. In international affairs most things are only opinions as there are many diverse opinions in print. There is much completely different slants and "truths" on every story. I am not prepared to keep bring up the same old common knowledge stuff over and over. Stoker ignores any sources I have given.
  15. I won't waste my time with Argus or Stoker. Been there done that. These are a bunch of Albertan and/or Quebec separtist closed minded people. MY comments are from a consensus of many sources; not that simple to send sources anyhow. If you are serious and will respond with a standpoint and sources; I will try to do likewise. So far, most of your posts have just been question after question but making no stand yourself and I haven't seen any sources from you, so....??? I do work now so I have limited time for this forum that has few serious open minded debates. So, do you believe that Australia took the high road in following Bush and Co into Iraq. Did you believe that while a country was still cooperating with UN weapons inspectors; that it was a justifiable time to start this invasion that was NOT supported by a majority of UN members??? The so called "evidence" that Bush and Co used was proven to be bogus BEFORE the invasion. Irregardless, it would still have been wiser and more prudent to concentrate its military and intelligence on destroying the al qaeda network. Finish what they started. The USA and co destroyed the goodwill and trust from many nations that did support them in their quest against GENINE terrorists that posed a threat to North America.
  16. No, and neither do I; it was all lies and excuses. Control of the middle east and oil. LIES!!!!!!! It wasn't about liberating Iraqis either.
  17. Get back on subject. As you can see from the CBC poll Canadians loved and respected Trudeau. He was our strongest leader. This is about monsters, mass murderers. Perhaps your friend GWB would qualify, if he were Canadian but get back on track.
  18. Do you think I or many of our fellow Canadians respect the Australian government's decision to support Bush in the invasion of Iraq? My understanding is that the people really did not support this invasion. Australia sold out its integrity for economic reasons. Should we respect that. I am sure Canada came close to doing the same; fortunately we did not sign on. I did a lot of research and discussion on a discussion forum for Canada Foreign affairs during the lead up to the Iraq invasion, It was closely moderated; so everyone did a lot of research to make their point not just wild claims unsubstantiated like on this forum. It is now closed but if you would like to understand the opposing Canadian and a few American"s views; you could check it out for reading purposes. I don't mind doing research when I am having a discussion with others who are willing to do the same. I just find most on this forum have closed minds and really are nto willing to really look at or consider evidence contrary to their beliefs. I would enjoy finding another well moderated forum such as we had on our Foreign affairs discussion group.
  19. [ At this time I am more concerned with their relationship with Pakistan. This country is one that should be watched more closely and not to be trusted. I really can't get past the Pakistani scientists that were selling nuclear technologies and parts to many rogue nations; pardoned these scientist; let them keep their ill gotten gains; with nary a peep from the USA. This country in one that is known to be home to many terrorist groups including al Qaeda. Like the USA"s friendship and support of Saddam and Iraq in the past; this relationship, too, will change; but by then Pakistan will be well equipped with modern and nuclear weapons.
  20. So, we don't know or really care too much about Australia's position. Your government supported the Iraq invasion but the people didn't. As one of your country men said "It's the USA money" that swayed them. As for the respect of the USA; I and many of my fellow Canadians do not need or want respect from a nation whose government is so out of control. When they finally realize that the invasion of Iraq was a big mistake and extremely bad timing and that it has spread terrorism not made the USA more secure; maybe Canadians can forgive the senseless bullying and shake hands with our neighbours and work towards a better relationship. The American dollar is sinking like a rock. Their government is hated world wide. Respect????? No fear of invasions or more likely economic retaliation. (Which we have already felt) When the USA starts respecting international agreements; perhaps they will regain our trust and respect.
  21. I hope that I will not be surprised and dismayed by this upcoming election here in BC. Are people going to be gullible enough to be swayed by the few bones being tossed out by Campbell and Company now. They are not even restoring things to how they were prior to their taking office; they have brought MORE scandal to our province. Not only Campbell's drunk driving but the raid on the legislature and the ministerial aids selling or taking illegal drugs. We have yet to hear all or even much of the truth there. Selling off our provincial assets. Selling BC rail after promising not to. Government contracts (jobs) constantly being given to foreign interests. Sensitive data put at risk by utilizing insecure American companies which puts our private information prone to invasion by USA homeland security. I could go on but we all should remember all the cuts they made to hospital workers which has left the safety and cleanliness of our hospitals at risk.
  22. CBC didn't do the choosing; people voting did. Just shows that Canadians still love our Health care system with all its problems and want it back running the way it was meant to. Premiers need to quit playing games with our money and get it running efficiently again.
  23. Yes I do fear the Bush government and its vindictive murderous ways and it unfair trading practices and biased vetoes at the UN. Its refusal to pay it UN dues but feels free to criticize. You may respect the USA but I would bet that more people respect Canada's honesty and fair play in international dealings. With the illegal invasion of Iraq; Bush and Co have made this a much more dangerous world.
  24. Where do you get the idea the rest of the world "respects" the USA. They may "FEAR" the USA but respect no way. Canada get much more respect and deservedly so.
  25. They don't do drugs; those charged were for drug DEALING and growing. Where did you get information that Nancy Reagan did drugs????
