Not the Christian type of religion I know. In my eyes he has broken most of the ten commandments and has not shown brotherly love to others. It is NOT just the left that protests. We in the center of the spectrum often protest vigorously, too. When the country or province becomes too right winged it is a majority of the people who suffer with low pay or unemployment to make the fat cat just a little fatter. BC is a good example where this has happened. We, protest when the pendulum swing too far left, too. We don't want to support every lazy bum that prefers not to work or thinks any job is beneath him. I would like to see those with genuine problems not of their own making would get more help; those in a temporary hardship get a hand getting their life back in order but we don't think we need to blindly support those who wish to waste their lives on drugs and booze. Get the mentally disabled off the streets and into secure facilities until they are capable of looking after themselves and without threatening others. Diseased addicts should be locked up where they do not impose a threat to others.

Anti Canadian are like those on this forum who believe anything Canada does as a free sovereign nation is wrong. They seem to think we should mindlessly follow the American lead whereever it may lead. I don't think Iraqi people who lost their loved ones or who are suffering and maimed would consider Bush to not be evil. The evidence was there that whatever evidence Bush and Co had was fraudulent, out of date, forgeries or just plain irrelevant PRIOR to that unjustified invasion of Iraq. As a leader of the sole super power; He should have used some common sense and listened to the advice of other world leaders. I don't think the mothers, wives and children of soldiers who lose their lives, limbs, mobility or their minds will find solace in the realization that it was completely meaninless and without justification.

American consumers would suffer with much higher prices; they would be the ones screaming. We would adjust as has the beef industry and do more processing in Canada; plus we would search for more varied customers; China and India are fast growing markets. Canada and Mexico have made progress in working together to deal with the trade problems with the USA. It is not only Canada that is having these issues with the USA on trade issues. Time that the USA starts obeying WTO and all other international agreements.

You want ALL religious services in English only??? Think you would get a lot of static from Catholics which I believe uses latin in some services; The Jewish religion services use a lot of Hebrew do they not????? This is a dumb idea. Just do not allow in immigrants who are not ready to embrace Canada as their home and wish to dabble in their homeland politics. Not really, as anyone who doesn't have all the goodies that others may have would still consider themselves poor. Compared to other countries; our poor in Canada are NOT opoor. I guess math was not your strong suit. There are four and one third weeks in a month. Even at only 7 dollars an hour that is an extra 91 dollars a month. No one forces you to stay at a minimum wage job; do they. Can you not find a better job; if not why are you having children. Does your spouse work? Why not. You are responsible for yourself ; the government (we the people) should only help able bodied people on a temporary basis; those who are handicapped or for some reason are mentally or physically unable to work need to get more money to live on; I can see giving more help for a single parent family until the child is of school age.

The senate should not be just a rewards ground for the Prime minister's friends. We need more than senate reform. I would like to see a more powerful federal government but AI would like some of the power removed from the Prime Minister. There is too much power in that office.
