Well we are part of Canada, too and we are tired of getting nothing but bs from the US in trade issues. They heavily subsidize their agriculture industry; so we get to throw ours away. Large unfair tarrifs on our lumber industry that they now want to grab prior to settlement; which is now tilted in Canada's favour and use it to double subsidize their industry. While we don't have a large beef industry; most of it is raising the young cattle and selling live. They steal our fish, particularly Alaska. America does not abide by our trade agreements. We supplied California with hydro power during their crisis; last I heard, they still owe us billions of dollars.

I agree, sad but true. No wonder so many people really have no idea of what is going on in this world. Perhaps it is better not to know the sick truth.

Nike ius not a Canadian export product; China is buying coal in large quantities and BC may be able to re open some coal mining towns. Raw resources IS a start; that's all the Americans want to import. I believe that technology is another thing we can sell to China. Well Kimmy; many of us now no longer blindly look at Israel as "one of us" I have become much more informed of issues and now realize that Israel is not the benign country but a instigator of abuses as much as any country in the middle east. Whatever the oil that is available throughout the world; The USA own sources have been greatly depleted. Canada does have plenty of oil and is a net exporter; the USA must import much of its supply.

I agree Cartman but they need to quit feeding blood and blood products to calves; last time I was involved in a discussion of BSE we had not done so in Canada. I do not want to eat old dairy cows. They seem to be the ones most prevalent to being diagnosed with BSE, Partly, due to their age but perhaps because they were fed the blood by products instead of mothers milk as calves. Not likely that they would be feeding beef calves by products for milk as they are not used for their milk. We had a dairy farm; we NEVER ate our old dairy cows nor sold them for eating purposes; they were taken away for fox feed.

Your description of those people is just as unenlightened. They may have been brain washed by their religion but they were quite modern and living for some time in the USA. Most were quite well educated. While I completely condemn their methods; I believe they did it to bring attention to the plight of the Palestinian people and their rights to a homeland which were being ignored in favour of Israel. Both peoples rights to survive and live in a free hoemland should have been recognized. With the unwitting help of GW Bush (with his heavy handed one sided unfair actions) I think they did succeed in bringing the plight of the Palestinian people into focus

If Canada were the country asking/ nay demanding that the USA join us in attacking a disarming country; I< personally would want them to make us gives our heads a good shake and get moving in the right direction again.
