I’ve started to count people’s items while I’m waiting, just in case somebody is way over.

I pity you big-city folk because you have so many things to get all agitated about. Out here in eastern Ontario, we have time to make room for little old ladies who have too many items for the express lane, and even wait patiently while she counts her change. But then, we all understand where we are coming from.

Lol.  I kinda visualize sour-faces to go with such sour disposition!   Life must be too lemony....
