more than 2/3 reduction in uranium enrichment and shutdown of water facilities in arak supposedly used for plutonium grade weapon was enough to convince the IAEA. And the rest of the world...but then again what would one expect from certain corners of republican hawks and Netanyahoo scratching their a.. by shifting the goal post and futile attempst to derail the agreement?? Nothing....They just try to sensationalise the news to win votes of the local sheeps at home that follow their cause regardless of the reality. The reality is you can never please everyone and the fact that the rest of the civilised world hails such diplomacy shows you are outnumbered. That''s democracy!

Jerusalem post really!?!?!? Since when are they going to write a news avbout Iran that is not biased....
-
You know the trouble with people like you is that they will always go out of their way to knock down Iran no matter what.... You have taken an artcle out of context to show that Iran helped and financed taliban but have diificulty understanding that Iran was in a WAR woth taliban back then.... Army Guy was right about you.
-
And I am curious as to whether you can back up your claims.... It is a known fact that the saudi supported talibans are no friends of Iran. Iraq and Afganistan are the two areas where Iran and US cooperated as both Saddam and taliban were arch enemies of Iran then.

Have always been an advocate of Canada and Iran re-establishing a relationship. There were historic moments that led to the deterioration of this relationship (the killing of the canadian/ iranian journalist Zahra Kazemi in July 2003 by Iranian secret agent) But I think there is a lot that can be leveraged from this.

...At the start of 1979 Revolution many factions played different roles. Communists (tudeh supported by many iranian jews), clergies, workers parties, MKO, etc.., Mullahs got the upper hand and beat other factions. In that sense one could argue that East won over West. But the reality the West played a key role in installing Khomeini. 1953 coup, exile of Khomeini in Paris and many more were just the starters...

That is usually the case...The ordinary tax payer will just pick up the bill.

I think long term a strategic partnership between Iran and US work in favour of both countries than an alliance with Saudis. Iranians are by far more secular than the Saudis. A recent article published in the Economist reiterates this. The population at large are more in tune with western values and there is a great potential market there.... We ought to question whether the US alliance with Saudis mainly based on oil serves them long-term and strategically in the region. Do we strike a cord a cord with a nation that is more in tune with our value systems or just sacrifice the alliance for the sake of oil?

History will not repeat itself. Iran has already had an eight war with Iraq financed by the West and Russians.
-
To a certain degree yes...at least as far as this is concerned.

Let me ask you this. If UK's prime minister David Cameron changed its stance on Saudi Arabia and called off all diplomatic ties would US still see SA as an ally?
-
You are comparing Saudi Arabia and its atrocious human rights record with Canada? How can a country that sponsored 911 attacks on US soil and many other terrorist activities be an ally of US? Or maybe it is the more liberal thinking Canadian government that you despise.

And this what you have said: Doesn't sound much like "precision strike"

To defeat terrorism, we must leave the Middle-East

And who can forget the lies and deceits over the Hutton enquiry... The claim in the government's dossier that Iraq could use weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes of an order continues to cause controversy. The biggest BS lie put together to make a case for war with Saddam. Ah and then there's oil and Kuwait.... -
The funny thing is if anyone else blames a jew then he screams his head off with anti semitic sentiments. It is a tactic used to create fear and distract any healthy debate.... But it is ok for people like Rue to lump the whole people the same just because they are born as muslims. You know I am really getting sick and tired of these hypocrites who have double standard and a different moral viewpoint for all non jews and think they are the "chosen ones". Paradoxically, the nazis identified themselves with "übermensch" same way zionists like him identify themselves superior to goyims...what they fail to realise is that it their extremist mentality that creates hostility towards Israel and decent jewish people.

Uhumm! And we see what that policy got carter into.... An eight year Iran / iraq war ensued after his visit to Iran in 1977 and being a host to then an ally of (Shah) -

What has carpet bombing the rest of the Middle East and killing innocent people got to do with ISIL? That's exactly the kind of hatred and wrong policies people like yourself been advocating. And to serve what purpose? -

A very good post MG Personally, I do not think oil is the only motivation for this foreign policy. But the interference of the West especially the Brits and the Americans will always haunt us back with the tragic legacies of wars and hostilities they have left behind in that region. The Brits use the 'religion' as the tool to divide and conquer. They thrive on this policy and the more hostlity there is between vaious factions creating chaos the better it is. It serves he lucrative arms deal market to that region by the West. And I am afraid the apetite for this viscious cycle trend is taking us further and further into a quagmire... Alternative sources of energy, the frackings that has been going on in the US does not provide any justification for this interference. -
Indeed silly you. and before you get your knickers into the twist or get paranoid as you usually carry on with your rants it is kactus not marcus. Neither am i a muslim nor anti semite or any group you like to label people who disagree with you. Cheap tactics to kill off any arguments. Kind of like your style.

And you wonder why some people do not have the capacity for arguments. Your generalisations and killings of innocent people stinks.... Shall we include Israel in that list of countries carpet bombed or is the lives of the "chosen ones" so sacred? Obviously to Rue and the silent majority the deranged idea is appealing but the moment you talk something about jews oh boy you become anti-semite. The irony is they include Israel in the list of civilised countries as if it can be compared to Canada or US.... Only in your delusional dreams. You can portray a rosy paint out of this little country called Israel but you can't cover the stinking policies embeded deeply there.
