Why worry about the Liberals they will find a leader from within the party if need be. Harper called the election on his own terms alienated Quebec making it very difficult for him too win a majority. The very survival of the Liberal party after the successful character assassination ads was in question. The Liberals were still reeling from the Ad-scam. There green shift policy was still being worked on. There is no way they were going to force an election. If Dion come back and survives he could very well be applauded by the Liberals. With Harper setting the timing of the election he had everything on his side. If he does not win a majority it is he that has failed. It is a sad state of affairs if the conservatives have to look outside their own party for a leader. These are people you are asking voters to vote for. Let the Liberals worry about the Liberals you have enough problems of your own.

Why do you keep mentioning Dions green plan without comparing it to Harpers green plan. How is Harpers green plan better when it will cost you just as much?

I think you better take it very seriously. Duceppe is sending the message that you better go out and vote. A lot of voters really do not think it makes a difference who gets in as long as it is not HARPER. If the voters feel that it is definitely not going to be a majority government they will not even vote. That is why Harper came out and said it will not be a Majority. He was trying to lull voters to sleep.

Harper has the same right as anyone else. As long as the government does not have too pay. There is no excuse for defamation by any party. In this case the judge ruled "clearly defamatory".

Canada has gone to alternate sentencing and shorter sentences largely because of the huge cost of keeping people in prison. Why would Harper not include the cost of such an expensive promise?

Why not give us a comparison to Harpers Green plan and The Liberals green plan. Harper has not even come up with the cost. Why is Harper not telling you what the cost of his getting tough on Crime will cost?

My understanding is that she is from there. She was adviced to run in a BC riding where she had a better chance of winning but she decided to stay with a riding she knew. Maybe she could surprise.

Ad-scam was rumored to be connected to the Mafia(truth or fiction? I do not know. But governments, big business, pension funds etc are all open to mobster types. That is why it is important to have open government. Every government that gets in though seems to be more secretive than the next.

Most talk shows take on a views that almost infuriate some of the listeners. That is how you get people too call in. There are few poster that seem too take some of these guys seriously. Most Media people of any sort like to spice it up a bit or no one will read their columns. You have remove a lot of the sensationalism to get at the facts.

Your standards are very low. None of them come close too being a leader. The only leader is Duceppe. Harper can only function if everything is set up too his liking.

I read anything that can back up what it says. If you read biased sources you have to tame in down a bit but that does not mean you can not learn from it. If you want only unbiased sources you may have trouble finding them. I usually read both sides and figure the truth is probably some place in the middle.

Harper never included expenditure for his green plan or for the cost of throwing more people in jail. I know people like justice but they do not remember why we went to alternate sentencing in the first place. The cost of jails was getting way to high and they had to find a way too reduce costs.

The Macleans article sees the HARPER plan too be the worst of the three. It is probably a good idea if you read the Harper plan before you reserve judgement. The guy that wrote the article has a master in economics. I think I will take his word for it. If you read some of his articles you will see he has taken shots at all the parties. He claims to be non partisan and after reading some of his articles I know he is not Liberal.

You know you totally reversed your opinion from the Liberals should not have taken Poor Harper to Court. To why should Harper not take the Liberals to court and bankrupt them. That could be seen as a double standard.

I am by no means a Harper supporter. Buying up some of the mortgages from the banks was a good move. Certainly do not know who to give credit too. The banks may have requested it or may have been suggested too them by the bank of Canada. It should allow the banks to give out loans to keep the economy going. Putting someone down because they see things different than you should not be allowed on the board.

Certainly has my attention and curiosity as well. If May is offered a senate seat so that Dion could offer her the Environment ministers Job that would certainly give her more of an opportunity too advance her cause. I do not think she would have to be a Liberal to do that.
