Nope.

It takes years and years to tweak the Canadian system. We'd be better off if it just collapsed and we could get a fresh start.
-
Apparently we have some 13000 doctors and 32000 nurses living in Canada who are qualified but can't get the certification they need practice. To me this resonates with the issue of inter-provincial trade barriers. Personally I think the biggest issue everyone faces is our system of government. With 12 - 13 provincial governments each effectively with the power of a country and 1 country with no more gravitas than a province amongst equals is it really any wonder it takes forever to get anything done? The only thing that gives me hope is the recent decisions to scrap DST. That only took decades and decades so...what's the hurry?

Since this is a direct quote you've attributed to me you should be able to produce it. But you won't because you're a cantservative who is too lazy to be bothered.
-
Yeah, that's your go to excuse for losing alright. But actually he's not in prison because people like you are to chicken to open up the Constitution and make transparency a right of all Canadians. You're just too lazy is my guess. Cantservatism writ large.

Depends on what you're sick with, like millions of other Americans you might not have enough money.

Sure, that's why he's boinking starlets instead of being boinked in prison.

Who's britches, what notch? I remember when people like you said everyone here just had to roll up their sleeves and work harder if they didn't want their factory to make the move to China. It wasn't the corporations or their shareholders fault. They were probably terrified of their potential powerlessness.
-
So you'll just man up and die if you can't afford it?
-
Why did you let your corporations ship your hegemony to China if that's the case?
-
It's hilarious that the same side of the spectrum that mocked concern about manufacturing jobs moving to China in the past is now into shaming people for buying stuff from China. The 1% is laughing it's ass off the hardest.

Equal treatment implies no one is interfering with our governance - like lobbyists getting between us and the politicians and tilting things in the direction of people and interests who hire lobbyists. Except no one is able to look close enough when everything is in-camera. Poilievre had me going for a moment there when he said lobbyists suck and should take their asks straight to Canadians directly. A moment of weakness on Poilievre's part I guess - apparently someone hit him with a shovel and straightened him out.

It's just too bad Conservatives are so useless at doing anything to improve transparency and accountability when they get their kick at the can.

And you'll still obediently stop at red lights.

TDS a new form of domestic terrorism?
eyeball replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The fact many regard Trump as being a symptom should be your most obvious clue. Trump isn't the real problem. -
I think it's safe to say the word sovereign is loaded up with enough emotion to be all it takes to throw things into a tizzy. The difference between Norway and Canada is the we have 12-13 essentially sovereign provinces all pulling in as many directions. Some harder than others when it comes to 'their' natural resources.

Speaking for myself, I'm finding the good ol' disordered world is way more entertaining. Hah, just watch me.
-
Which means in chambers. In private, secret, just the way politicians like it.

It's a great idea but we'll, as your article states.... Norway's Wealth Management: Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, the largest globally, is primarily funded through taxes on profits from the country's oil and gas industry, which can reach as high as 78%. For starters there are deep ideological divisions when it comes to taxing the profits of the 1%. I've been given to understand there are millions of Canadians who are offended and even sickened at the idea. Norway's model would also only work if it was applied provincially. Do you honestly believe Alberta would stand for this?
