  1. Good thing I don't want that. Liberals don't have a chance where I vote so don't worry. Neither do Conservatives BTW. I'm hoping my vote contributes to there being a minority government. Doesn't matter to me if its Liberal or Conservative. Just so long as neither have all the power. Who needs, as you put it, a dictator for the next four years? Canada shot itself in the head decades ago when it signed onto Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher's view of how the world should be.
  2. It's not like judges can go order the air-force to go fetch the planes and turn them around. Maybe it should be in the judicial branches power to do that. What's to prevent the three branches of your government from falling into some sort of civil war over usurpation by one another? Whose side will the armed forces take? You guys are falling into a really weird messed up place down there.
  3. Already posted? Figures lie and liars figure... From your source... The report is the latest “Died on a Waiting List” policy brief from SecondStreet since the conservative-leaning organization began tracking wait-list deaths in the spring of 2018. Since then, the think tank has counted 74,677 cases where Canadians passed away while waiting for treatments. These range from potentially life-saving ones, such as heart operations or cancer therapy, to life-enhancing ones, such as cataract surgeries and hip replacements. Dying while ON a waiting list is not the same as dying BECAUSE they were on a waiting list. This sounds suspiciously like, I should say exactly like, the schtick used to accuse governments of inflating COVID deaths to pump the fear - alleging that authorities counted anyone who died that had both COVID and a co-morbidity counted as a COVID death. Like I said figures lie and liars figure and there just ain't no cure for it.
  4. I doubt it is legal if it's bribery. It's pathetic how emasculated and powerless Conservative parties seem to be in the face of corruption. Utterly useless when it comes to doing anything to prevent, investigate or prosecute it, especially white collar crime like this. Catch and release is the best they can do and even that seems like a real chore.
  5. He also has to convince his more hard-boiled outspoken supporters to keep their mouths shut but with Danielle Smith saying to hell that he's facing an uphill struggle. I don't know why the other parties don't do more to goad his supporters.
  6. Sure I get that, it's why I vote with the hope the result will be a minority government. Funnily enough you people usually cross yourselves, get all indignant and badmouth the thought of cooperation and plead with Canadians to give Conservatives a strong majority. There's nary a peep about governments having too much power and doing whatever they want then. It's what you want for your guy.
  7. A dictator who needs permission... doesn't sound like much of a dictator to me. I suppose it'll be easy as falling off a log though because as everyone knows lefties just can't wait to become slaves. I'm just going where your assertions lead, obviously you can't think them through to any sort of conclusion.
  8. They could simply have Conservatives shot. You said he's an authoritarian right? or is the ridiculousness of your position finally sinking in?
  9. Why would any self-respecting authoritarian give a shit about any of this?
  10. Yup. We get them where it matters - cost, life expectancy and infant mortality. Bullshit. Prove it.
  11. Not having an election would. So why do you suppose Carney would call one?
  12. Your comment about authoritarianism, writings and obliviousness in general.
  13. Trump says people won't need to vote again next election. Here it is right from the horses ass himself if you don't believe me https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-tells-christians-they-wont-have-vote-after-this-election-2024-07-27/ You got anything like that on record for Carney?
  14. Nope. How would you know, have you looked? Obviously not. No, there's tons of science and the vast majority of scientists who put it together will definitely tell you it's abcrisis. I'm more astounded and troubled about the triumph of denial over science. That's a big crisis too.
  15. Sure just poor old PP wishes it was like the old days when people cared.
  16. You say I'm a liar so what is the point? The IPCC has everything you need to know. Beyond that there are these things called search engines. Ever heard of them?
  17. Of course they're laughing, it's just a joke! Except...even Poilievre needs to pretend it isn't. That's what's really funny. It's also a big part of the crisis so it's kind of tragic too.
  18. Everything hot becomes cold but thermodynamic entropy is not a crisis. AGW is.
  19. You learn to walk before you can run and in your case you still need to master crawling. Carbon dioxide (CO2) traps heat because its molecular structure allows it to absorb infrared radiation (heat) emitted by the Earth, preventing it from escaping into space, a process known as the greenhouse effect. This was discovered by Eunice Newton Foote in 1856. This will be on the test BTW.
  20. By the very same token...not bringing forward and using your advantages is irresponsible leadership. Poilievre is sitting on a climate change/carbon tax revelation that could not only secure his election but lead the entire world to a whole new more effective way of dealing with AGW. But apparently he's subscribed to the sense no one cares about climate change anymore. Like woke and DEI, climate change is another issue that's evaporated.
