  1. Oops! Sorry guys, I didn't check the date when a friend forwarded the link to me. I Still like his attitude though. As for Australia being just for Australians, well, have you ever lived there? I have and I found them to be friendly warm people. I guess to fit some etherial ideal we should all just welcome any form of Radical into our countries, right?
  2. I don't believe I said you were airy fairy Buffycat. You raise some good points, however what would you suggest he do instead? Do you think it's a good idea in the interest of fairness to allow Radical groups to operate unhindered in ones country? As for singling out Radical Muslims, I find it to be perfectly understandable as these Radicals are the ones causing problems. As to where they would go, well, obviously back to where they came from. That way they could practice their Sharia Law to their hearts content without imposing it upon anyone else. If you read the entire article it's really very hard to muster a rational argument against what he says.
  3. That is simply unforgivable. These students should be taught that tolerance is the one thing they need to display. There is no way they can decry intolerant attitudes towards themselves when they practice such disdain and intolerance for others. They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
  4. Good for John Howard. He's shown the world that he has a very strong streak of good sense with this move. A move I personally strongly applaud, and one which our politicians could learn from. http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewForeignBureaus....hive/20050.html I'm sure some of the "airy fairy" crowd will be offended by this, however by making this statement Howard is helping to ensure the safety of those people as well. You just have to love that take no sh*t Aussie attitude.
  5. Well you got that one about as wrong as you possibly could. The Black Watch was formed and manned by Scots, not Nova Scotian blacks. I know you wont believe me so heres a link. http://www.blackwatchcanada.com/en/index.htm
  6. That being the case I guess they should start building a bigger jail. Gotta have somewhere to put all those "pure as the wind driven snow" Liberals.
  7. Very well said, also very true.
  8. That was such a superb movie. Even after all these years it's still at the top of my list for favourite movies. It certainly serves to illustrate the difference in justice between countries.
  9. This guy reminds me of the case in Toronto where a fellow was out to get another guy and ended up shooting the guys 3 year old daughter in the head, killing her. After he was sentenced his mother was outside the court house ranting about what a good boy he was and how he'd been railroaded because he was black. Kinda makes you wonder just what he'd have to do before his mother would consider him a bad boy doesn't it?
  10. I dont know very much about this but from what I've read it appears to go beyond the merely childish. It would appear they had a clear agenda that they were exercising it. What that agenda was I really couldn't say. A trumped up lawsuit might be on that agenda though, it really doesn't seem too far out of bounds to assume so. It is interesting it didn't get much coverage though. Normally anything involving suspect behaviour on an aircraft gets pretty thorough coverage.
  11. You raise some very good points AW. I agree, some people do appear to be born with something lacking as far as behaviour goes, for instance Karla Homolka. She had a morbid fascination with death from the time she was a child. These two would appear, at least in some respects to be of a similar type. They plotted the murders, commited them, then went to Burger King (or Macdonalds, I forget which one) and had something to eat. Your other point is a very good one as well. I think we should try to rehabilitate criminals, but who wants them living next door? Thats not to say she would turn around and murder her neighbours, but I imagine as one of her neighbours, one would tend to worry about just that circumstance.
  12. I think you're right in your premise. I dont think that approx. 6 years will turn her around and make her a truly repentant person. After all she plotted the murder of her entire familly in cold blood because her parents didn't like her dating a 23 year old guy when she was 12.
  13. I really do like having you around Queens Slave. You're like that very strong and pungent spice, not very nice on its own but interesting when mixed with other spices. Thats why I kinda hope you dont become discouraged, after all every village needs its idiot to laugh at (discretely).\ Oh, by the way, please do continue to be incoherent in your posts, it really is a source of endless amusement to me.
  14. Ooh Ooh Ooooohhhh! You got me with that one man! How can I possibly answer you now? Such a briliant rebutal. So...seriously...are you actually a mindless Bot or do you just pretend to be one?
  15. Well the verdict is in, she was given the maximum sentence. That means the maximum she can serve is 6 years. I dont know if any of you guys know of this case. I placed the topic here because I thought it kinda fit, the whole moral aspect of age difference and killing her familly for the reasons she did. I wasn't sure if it should go in the Federal Politics section either as it showcases our lax Justice system to a certain degree as well. The boyfriend has yet to be sentenced, I expect it will be life for him, such as it is in Canada. Probably 10 to 15 years I imagine. it just doesn't seem to be enough considering what they both did.
  16. I'd be interested to hear what she has to say. Unfortunately I'm not a TV watcher, ironic that I own a very nice TV eh. I only watch movies. Thats why I dont have cable or satellite, just peasant vision, CTV, Global, andCBC. Computers are what I use for information and entertainment, I find they're so much more versatile and powerfull as an information medium, not to mention the entertainment aspects.
  17. I'm not quite sure what you're getting. This is the part where you confuse me a little. Do you mean that one persons vote is equivalent to a million other peoples votes? Are you sure you're not a Bot?
  18. If by same mentality you mean that in war you have to learn to think like your enemy in some respects, then you are right. You cant fight a war by rules of fair play if the other side wont play fair. Hostile combatants usually dont play fair, this guy certainly didn't. He lost the coin toss he took and ended up a prisoner. Now the result is that a whole sh*t load of people are tripping all over themselves to play super ultra fair with him. To the point of bringing him back to Canada where he will almost certainly walk. Playing fair would mean not targetting medics, it always has before. Do you know what usually happened to those they caught who had targetted medics? Thats why medics and medical vehicles sport those highly visible white backgrounds with the bright red cross. By rights this piece of filth should never have lived to see another day. I think the Americans have already played more fair than they had to, they let him live to leave the field of conflict and go to sunny Cuba.
  19. You know, judgeing by the automoton nature of The Queens Slave when he posts I could almost believe he's a Bot. I've been into computers for many years. One of my first was a Commodore 64, I had this little AI program for it. If you typed in any word it would respond with what it thought you were talking about. The responses were usually meaningless but very funny sometimes. The Queens Slave reminds me vey much of that program. He claims some vast government conspiracy involving brainwashing and slavery. Yet he mindlessly repeats the same things over and over again. Isn't that a form of brainwashing?
  20. You do know that the conveniences of modern life such as roads and health care, amongst others are paid for with taxes don't you? They also pay for social programs, defence, that sort of stuff, you know. So what you are saying is that you feel no sense of social responsibility and don't mind freeloading off the work of others. Nice. Fine upstanding person you must be. Then you feel the compulsion to start nattering on about those who do help provide what you take for granted being slaves. Some people!
  21. Sorry, I totally misunderstood you. I agree, after reading her stuff it really surprises me that anyone listens to her at all. Some see her as a spokesperson or authority though. Amazing.
  22. And your point is? You think University Professors just can't be nuts? She's a Professor they gave the boot to actually. Just go read her stuff for yourself, thats all the confirmation needed.
  23. Well I can't disagree with you on that one. She certainly did a rip snortin job of destroying a centuries old image of dignity in a very short time. Pop star celebrity seeking just doesn't gell very well with the image Royalty is supposed to project.
  24. As I said earlier it doesn't mention fire inspectors, but good old Hazel is pretty clear in what she is saying. whats interesting is the fact that she presents no facts, or evidence, just blithely accuses "Canadians" of this. I shouldn't be surprised though, this is just typical for Hazel, queen of the overblown rhetoric and just plain made up "facts". I love the disturbed the peace bit. So burning tires, buildings, cars, bridges etc. is all just preserving the peace! Assaulting Cops and Citizens is preserving the peace! Vandalizing property and intimidating elderly folk is preserving the peace. Hooaaa! Thats rich! And now they're moaning about their "Embassy/Shack". Sorry, no sympathy for terrorist types from me.
