I already had one of those, but then I got divorced and it went away. -
Mexicans coming to Canada
AngusThermopyle replied to Topaz's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Could you elaborate on that a little? Do you mean legal or illegal? Do you mean all of them perhaps? I have zero problem with legal immigrants who meet the criteria for immigration, it's the illegals I have a problem with. As I said earlier, why should those who choose to disregard our laws at the very onset be allowed the same privileges as those who follow the rules? Sure we can use the workers, but should we just allow anyone who wants to come wandering in and set up shop do so? What of the criminals? Don't kid yourself into thinking that no such people exist within the illegal immigrant population. Should they be allowed to circumvent the rules and reside here? Bring in legal types who will contribute and benefit our society in various ways, certainly. Illegals, just give em a well placed boot in the arse and send them on their way. -
why Alberta hasn't seperated

Come on guys, show a little respect for a concise, clear argument couched in precise and accurate wording. Now, seriously. I don't understand why you think you can make a compelling argument by posting such nonesense. It's easy to accuse everyone of being brainwashed, way harder to prove it though. I submit the theory that it is actually you who has been brainwashed and as such you feel compelled to utter such baseless statements. -
Actually I was responding to the post by CLRV where he talked about Muslims being "down". My point is that it doesn't matter if she was a Muslim or a three legged toad. She was entrusted with the lives of these children and failed that trust. Since the cops were laying charges according to the news report last night I would think it is safe to assume that negligence of some sort was involved. As for your mother wearing a scarf and never drifting off the road, well exactly how does that prove anything? The death of this child is a fact, who knows at this point if it was driver error or mechanical? My point is that the childs death is what matters. So what if she is, was, or may become Muslim, or Jewish, or Pastafarian. The childs death is what matters and as such charges should be laid, if, of course they are warranted. Hope that clarifies things for you.

This Muslim who is "down" as you put it, is directly responsible for the death of a child. What do you suggest, we give her a medal and parade instead? Who cares if it was a head covering or not? The salient fact is that she was entrusted with the lives of other peoples children and she failed that trust. As charges are being laid I would say it's safe to say that the police have found evidence of negligence, dangerous driving, whatever. Is it your contention that she should be immune to the consequences because she's a Muslim who is "down"?

We pay while Indians live in luxury
AngusThermopyle replied to geoffrey's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
So I suppose all the bumper stickers referring to "Whitey" are appropriate? And all the times I've walked down the street in this little town and heard the same word from Native mouths were appropriate? The fact is that saying Indian can quite often be an honest slip or mistake. I don't think the "Whitey" thing can be seen in the same light, not by any stretch of the imagination. Respect is a commodity to be earned, not automatically granted. Didn't you know that? Actually my friend makes a very pointed distinction between Indians and Natives. He's one of the Daychiefs, a very large familly around here. He go's to school and is on track to join the RCMP, he considers himself to be a Native. In his own words he can't be Indian because he's not a drunk lazy bum, he works and is bettering himself. These are some of the reasons I have a great deal of respect for him. I never knew this distinction existed until he and others pointed it out to me. Some of them have been Daychiefs, some Bigbears, etc etc. I think you get the picture. -

Sorry Jennie, once again you are making baseless statements.you're spouting propaganda without source or fact. Instead of making childish and simplistic excuses as you have in the past why dont you explain why in this nation of approximately 30 million people no one has ever unearthed a mass grave of any kind? Perhaps its all part of some mass conspiracy that all of us simplistic simple folk are unaware of. Can you actually show us these "government statistics"? Not that i doubt your "oral history" word, I'd just like to see some hard evidence to back up your claims. In other words, show me the bodies and bones, they seem to be in rather short supply don't they? Seems to me that you are a very militant uncompromising sort of person, a fundamentalist if you will. Either that or you are very gullible and easily led. The only substantive reason you seem to be able to summon always seems to resort back to the "truth and blah blah commission". In other words a "just you wait and see " sort of attitude. I've stated it before and I will do so once more, i do not believe you. All you have to say smacks of dishonesty. I simply do not believe that you are as you wish to appear and the things you purport to be true are in fact baseless. -
Reasonable Accomadation, what does that mean?
AngusThermopyle replied to Moxie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
BINGO! Now you mention it thats what blew me away. Like I said, it was quite some time ago and my memory on the specifics is a little hazy but that was what stood out above all. The fact that the Judge seemed sympathetic and accommodating to this sick bastards perversions. He actually tried to put the whole thing in a positive light. Talk about accommodating different cultures! -

What nonesense. I can name loads of white people with tons of humanity. What about Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King? Oh...wait a minute. Florence Nightingale? -
It was fun but the categories for the answers didn't fit what I actually feel in some instances. for a few of the questions I was obligated to either answer agree or disagree when I actually felt more like a middle ground would accurately convey my feelings about the question.

Sorry NQ, I'm not really sure what your point is. Could you perhaps be a little less cryptic and elaborate somewhat? -
Reasonable Accomadation, what does that mean?
AngusThermopyle replied to Moxie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Whether or not you believe I'm lying is rather irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. As I said this happen quite a while ago, at least 15 years or so if I recall correctly. Anti-immigration websites, well, I don't think I know of any. I really don't concern myself with such things. I'm a geek (hobbyist, not professional), the websites I frequent are usually tech oriented. I don't waste my time becoming enraged at the opinions of some plug I don't even know. I'll tell you what though, just to accomodate you, when I get the time (don't have a huge amount of that) I'll see if I can dig something up about it. It has been many years though so I'm not too hopefull. The only reason I still remember it was because we were at sea and it was included in the regular news release we used to get. The entire crew was enraged by the story and as such it tends to stand out in ones memory. Sorry if the concept of stupidly lenient judges offends your sense of credulity but we do have stupidly lenient judges in this country, or did you miss that part of our justice system? -
Reasonable Accomadation, what does that mean?
AngusThermopyle replied to Moxie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sorry Jennie but I have to agree with OBC on this one. I remember a case years ago where an immigrant father was found to have sodomized his young daughters. The judge in this case gave him a pass, as he stated it was acceptable in his culture to do so. The rational being that it did not "de-flower" them so they were still worthy of marriage. Do you believe our flexibility should be such as to accommodate such practices? Freedom of religion is one thing. When such freedom impinges upon the laws of the land then it should not be tolerated. If they want these freedoms above the structures of our society then they should not be here at all. -

Thats a very good point, I've wondered that myself. It would be easy enough, just one more drug prior to the others. I cant remember the amount or sequence they use right now. I think it's three or four and each one has a specific function. One stops the heart, one brain activity. I cant remember the rest. Just adding a powerfull anesthetic first seems like a good idea to me. -
I'm not sure. I'm still trying to figure out what he/she's saying actually.

I would say that it would depend on your reason for being unemployed actually. Are you unemployed because you suffer a physical or mental problem that prevents employment of any kind? Are you unemployed because you cant find the job you would enjoy doing and wont take anything other than that? Or are you unemployed because you choose to be so and dont want to work? As you can see there are many reasons to be unemployed and different reasons merit a different response. If its reason number 2 & 3 then don't be surprised at your fair share of rather disparaging comments.

1491, or, Was Pre-European "White Man" America Really
AngusThermopyle replied to jbg's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
O'kay, I'll add to this discussion. Yes indeed it was used as a weapon. Its the earliest known iteration of the "Honey Pot" trap. Generally the women used were considered prostitutes and as such were to be used at the discretion of those who controlled them. And yes, there were and still are Jewish prostitutes, I fail to see what is so unbelievable about the existence of a Jewish prostitute. Interesting to note that this technique is still being used to this day in the Congo. The difference being that it is men raping women in order to spread the disease (among others). Lyme disease is a very close relative and it too was purposefully spread in order to cause physical infermity blindness and death. Edited to add the bit about the Congo and Lyme disease. -
I hate to say it but I think she makes stuff up about more than just this incident, for example: She keeps insisting she isn't Native yet continually refers to such matters in the familiar, as one would if one were a part of the aforementioned group. Sorry Jennie but I just cant muster up any sense of credibility for your statements because of just such instances of duplicity.

Thank you, that post was far more coherent and actually got your point across. I must admit that I'm curious as to the injustices you've suffered or seen committed.
-
After seeing what you post I bet you're busy with your own survival. Actually if you are the way you appear to be I'm surprised you've managed to survive this long.

I've been reading your responses to others with a great deal of interest. All I can conclude is that your ignorant and obnoxious demeanour is no more than an act designed to illicit a response. You claim to be some sort of Politician (or wanna be). I just cant see that, if you truly are as your posting style would seem to indicate It would seem more likely that the majority of people with whom you would interact would decline to vote for you. If you truly had political aspirations it would seem likely that you would have developed some tact, what you have posted so far appears to showcase the exact opposite. I have a question for you though. Why such outright animosity? It really wont help you make your point, and if you don't care if you make your point then why even post here? I'm wondering if you were kicked out of the military as an administrative burden or some such thing. Is this why you despise it so much?

US Senate votes to divide Iraq
AngusThermopyle replied to trex's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I agree with a lot of what you say, I don't agree with this statement though. It may be possible you could instill tolerance in a relative hand full of them but I believe the majority of the Taliban are of the extreme Islamist sort. Far more than the Palestinians. Many Palestinians don't want the fighting, don't want to live in fear of both the Israelis and also their own. Unfortunately there are quite a few who think exactly the opposite. And they hold the rest in fear. I honestly don't think those kinds are open to tolerance. Their religious convictions and societal pressures are so great as to make them willingly, even joyfully eager to commit suicide. Its these guys (and girls) whom I do not think can be taught tolerance. The tough question is, what is the answer?
