Dancer you are truly a sick individual if you really think that shooting at people is acceptable, and funny even. Sick sick sick... spit.
-
Well said!! You are also quite right about the 9/10 Soviet Jews - there is a ruckuss going on in Israel right now about where to put the pork sellers - I read one poor guys shop got fire bombed. To answer the first question about why pork is not allowed I would tend to agree with others here wrt it making one sick due to poor preservation technologies. Coupled with the fact that many diseases of pigs are very close to those that infect humans I would imagine that crossovers were more likely with pork than say beef or chicken. Also, I know a few Jews and Muslims that have no problem with pork and eat and enjoy it regularily. IOW Chris Rock is right.

READ: A Clean Break: New Strategy for Securing the Realm Pretty much sums the whole Iraq mess up. And btw that was the intention - breaking up Iraq. Which is what is happening - so this particular war is heading right on track according to her architects. here is a link I found to the entire piece to download, oddly I can't seem to find a whole outline online anymore. http://www.hoanewsnetwork.com/media/resear...clean-break.php though I did find this: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article1438.htm It seems that this paper along with PNAC's New American Century share much in common and both IMO can be considered foriegn policy smoking guns. (Strange though that last year I could type in the names of both docs and find them easily in their entirety) looks like someone is doing some web cleaning. I guess I could use the way back machine. Oh well, the above links should suffice.

Limiting Colateral Damage in a Nuclear War with Iran
buffycat replied to buffycat's topic in The Rest of the World
You know it wouldn't matter which link I put up since Dancer is only here to spin and lie. Period. It is quite clear with the threats being made by the US and her ally Israel that 'nothing is off the table'. Discussions of using nuclear bunker busters were circulating quite a bit last year. The threat is there - I recall a study to see which way the radioactive cloud would travel and how many folk might die. So to that I leave Dancer to go find his own material stating unequivocably that Nukes will NOT be used in any way shape or form - outside of that 'ALL options are on the table' means exactly that. For those of you who might actually have a rationaly open mind (NOT Dancer nor Bonam) here is a pretty good piece with many imbedded links: Nuclear Deployment for an Attack on Iran Click to read and follow links. There are over a million more hits so others can go and search it on their own. -
Does anyone here really believe that this is the first time a police force in Canada has used this technique? If - and this is a really big IF - these police were simply in the crowd to monitor - then why the rocks? Why the typical 'protestor' clothing? Why threaten the violence? PROVOCATION - simple. This is done to stifle dissent. When protests turn 'ugly' one has to ask whose purpose it actually serves. It does not serve the real protestors aims - it does however serve the establishment's aim: to stifle and to stop dissent, to allow for increased police budgets vis a vis 'security', and it also serves to keep otherwise law abiding people from even coming to these protests. So - who benefits? This isn't the first time, nor the first place this has happened - this is however one of the few times they have been caught red handed (thanks to you tube and coles). Wake up to those who think this is some kind of 'isolated' incident. A full inquiry should occur and all those responsible be 'outed'. Keep this incident in mind the next time you hear of violence at protests.
-
Dancer, get your stories all straight - the provactuers are those in the video and there are three of them - who have supposedly been detained by the cops, yet no record of this is available and the cops themselves have chosen to remain silent (quite telling). It walks like a cop, acts like a cop, runs too the cops = they are cops. We aren't talking about the other protestors who may or may not have thrown rocks or acted violently. This thread is about the three who have been outed by the union rep. Keep your mind focused Dancer, instead of two stepping the issue at hand.. sheeesh

Funding religious schools is bad policy
buffycat replied to scribblet's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
No but there is Hannukah Harry!! IMO NO funding of religious schools should come from public coffers - period. It was a huge mistake to even begin funding the Roman Catholic Separate School Boards. Cut them off. All of them, now. -
Hey Dancer can you count? Look at the video - there are THREE men there. Here, we can do it together: ONE, TWO.... THREE!!!
-
Cops do walk in a certain way, partly because when wearing full uniform (gun etc) the arms tend to rest in an outward direction from the body - sort of like those steroid filled musclemen. If you look at the little dude with the rock his movements are very cop like. Further to that - if these guys were really violent protesters then why run TO the police? Now, Dancer can you answer a question or are you simply going to attack again? Maybe you too are a plant of some kind? Ficus? Stinging Nettle? Milkweed?
-
Thanks keepitsimple for posting the video link. These dudes walk like cops, act like cops and run TO the cops!! Gee could it be they ARE cops?! Astounding, well not so much.

Limiting Colateral Damage in a Nuclear War with Iran
buffycat replied to buffycat's topic in The Rest of the World
Haa haa!! Coming from you that is rich rich rich!! I usually always back up what I have said with links - do YOU?? Bugger off Dancer and go and look it up yourself. There is alot of it out there - or why don't you prove me wrong and find me something which says they will NOT use any kind of nuclear weaponry (including nuclear bunker busters). Go on, I'm sure you can find something somewhere maybe.... Ah heck just for fun here is one out of about two million: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../09/wbush09.xml Cheers Dancing boy. -
I think it's pretty clear that these three dudes were cops. The whole use of agent provacateurs is a time tested and useful mechanism for the state to quell public unrest. It works quite well - as most of the public is unaware. The provacatuers begin the violence, the police then come in all guns a blazing and then demand more money and powers to limit public protests! Very nice indeed and with all the trappings of the coming police state! Well done Canada! So much for freedom of speech, and freedom of expression!! Keep up the good work and soon we will enjoy the same liberties as our brethren to the south. Sad.

Should Christians Recognize and Participate on Christmas?
buffycat replied to betsy's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
The eggs are, as too the whole name derived from Ostere (sp) and her sacred animal the hare (hence the easter bunny) AFAIR it is Saxon in origin - though I'd have to check. Dancer there is nothing new under the Son (Sun) - it's all recycled. -
Should Christians Recognize and Participate on Christmas?
buffycat replied to betsy's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Christmas and Easter are both adopted pagan rituals - these ceremonies and events were incorporated into early christianity to make the 'change' easier for the 'pagans' to accept. Let people celebrate what they wish, I don't think the FSM will object. BTW any kind of G-d which rules by instilling fear is not worth my time or energy - nor do any of its followers (ie sheep). All of these religions are based on older beliefs, you might want to read up on Horus, Mises (sp) et al to get an idea where all these stories come from. Religion is meant to divide us - thus making it easier to attain power over people and fight the wars which all consuming power requires. It has little to do with spirituality IMO. -
Limiting Colateral Damage in a Nuclear War with Iran
buffycat replied to buffycat's topic in The Rest of the World
Oh Dancer, I think you are capable of running an internet search all on your own!! Why do you need me to do it for you? Here is a suggestion: If you type in the keywords: 'using nuclear weapons against Iran' you will get around 2 million hits! That's almost two million articles etc which you can look at all on your own!! Have fun. -
But far less aid than the Palestinians have gotten, and frittered away. At least that aid was used for a humanitarian purpose and didn't go into Swiss bank accounts. You have got to be kidding here right jbg? The PA has recieved more funding that Israel? I think you may want to check on that. Currently, Israel recieves the lion's share of all foreign aid from the US - seconded only by Egypt and Jordan (in the area). About 10,000 $ per person per year. Sorry jbg - but you are really way off on this little estimate. And while the PA certainly did fritter some of their meager dollars away (which is part of the reason that Hamas won the last election), in no way whatsoever did aid to the PA ever reach the biblical proportions that Israeli has and continues to recieve. Again, resulting in alot of bad feelings on the part of her Arab neighbours who do see the inequity of America's foreign policies in the region.

Uh... let's see now: Three buildings all collapse on the same day - in the same way as classic demolition demands. These three buildings are the only ones in history to do this! Quite convenient and oddly coincidental don't you think? If this was the norm, I would wager you could find many other instances of fires leading to straight down, gravity speed collapse - can you? (Outside of these three miraculous events?). There was recently a fire (7-alarm) in the old Deutsche Bank building. At first residents were told to evacuate since the building might start falling apart and risked hitting other structures in the area. Well guess what - it's didn't collapse! In fact NO building EVER has collapsed so neatly into her own footprint at all - except for the magical WTC 12 and 3. I find that odd.

Morning jbg, What year was your volvo wagon? Volvo IS Ford, since about '95 AFAIR. I currently looking for an older volvo wagon (pre 95) it's interesting that I can find tonnes of 'newer' volvos, but very few of the REAL older ones. Same thing happened to SAABs back in 91 - a black day for me...I loved my old 900Turbo *sigh*.

This is a really good article, which left me with some hope. Since I posted such an extreme piece earlier, I thought I might temper myself and add this one too. I think Mr. Burg hits the nail on the head as he speaks of theocracy vs democracy, of the danger of the extremists on both and all sides of the fence. He does so with such clarity and candor - it's sad we don't see similar articles in the Canadian and American mainstream press: Time to Attack excerpt: The real clash is between members of democratic civilizations and those of theocratic civilizations. The first group accepts everybody as sources of administrative authority undiscriminatorily; the others view God, not mortals, as their authority, and rely on his word, apostles and zealots. This schism cuts across Christianity and Islam and is also occuring here, in Judaism. Despite the sticky and vague "schmaltz" of "the unity of Israel," there is no escaping the question of whether there is - or should be - any kind of unity with these people. In my opinion, the answer is no - they are not my brethren, they are my enemies. There is no theological difference between certain rabbis from Hebron, the former Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and the evangelical preacher hoping for Armageddon at the site of our Megiddo. Those who say that "God's law is first" are no different from one another, whether they wear a rabbi's skullcap, Hezbollah's turban or the cloak of a North American spiritual leader. They are all engaged in a cruel battle against me. They are the enemies of freedom and democracy, and are hostile to liberty, equality and the status of women. In a world like this, we must form new coalitions. The division between "us" and "our enemies" cannot be based merely along national or familial lines, or in beliefs and genetics. The world is divided into a coalition of some Jews, some Christians and some Muslims, versus other members of their nations and religions. Democracy versus theology.

Limiting Colateral Damage in a Nuclear War with Iran
buffycat replied to buffycat's topic in The Rest of the World
There has been talk about using tactical nukes by both Israel and the US Admins. This editorial illustrates that despite what so many think - there are radical nuts in Israel who condone such ideas. As I stated - I really don't believe that nuking Iran would sit well with the majority of Israelis. I wanted to counter however, some of the crazy things posted here about Muslims - to show that each and every group has their whackos - and it's easy to find. Tis all. But you may want to look a little deeper, since the nuclear option is not off the table according to either Administration (again I truly hope they are simply using it as a scare tactic). -
Judeo-Christian Ethics; The Gift That Keeps on Giving
buffycat replied to jbg's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
If these so-called 'judeo-christian' ethics are so wonderful - then how on earth can anyone explain the love of a buddist for his people - or that of a Native for his? Gosh since this grand Judeo-Christian G-d isn't around to scare them into behaving?! I found this whole thread somewhat sad - that no one else pointed out that there are other faiths, other beliefs which also hold to belief of being kind, working hard and bettering oneself. How Judeo-Christian centric to think that they have all the answers. IMO it's old fashioned alturism which accounts for most of our 'ethics', that and the age old ideal of treating others as yourself (these stem IMO from time immemorial - before the G-d's of Judaism, Christianity or otherwise). One doesn't need religion to understand what is right or wrong - it's pretty self explanitory. -
Limiting Colateral Damage in a Nuclear War with Iran
buffycat replied to buffycat's topic in The Rest of the World
Just some observations, as I would really hope that NO one gets nuked. It is clear that Iran will not be nuking Israel - since she has no nukes, nor does she have the means to deliver them. Even if she did - to do such a thing would bring destruction upon herself. I am really hoping that this article is nothing but shear rhetoric - designed to instill some fear. How any human could justify what this gent is justifying is beyond my capability to grasp. I cannot fathom the bloodthirstyness of this particular individual and surely I do see he certainly does not speak for all Israelis - many of whom are quite frustrated with the Likud war machine, who IMO has placed Israel into a far more dangerous place - just as the neocons in the US have tarnished the Americans' reputation. I hope to heck nothing like the wet dreams of this guy, this sick individual, ever comes to pass. (Now I will wait for the usual smear crowd to appear and justify why nuking Iran is okay dokay) -
It seems that most of the calls for attacking Iran are originating with our old friend Israel, here is but one article - but it's a real whopper: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/7316 As you see, it's an Israeli source (not some 'Arab propoganda site - which a few folk here accuse me of using - which I don't btw). So straight from the horse's mouth: excerpt: Sometimes, when a child is bad, he needs a good spanking. Iran needs a good nuking. There is no "moral dilemma" here and it is no more complicated than that. The neutron bomb, if detonated at altitude, destroys soldiers, not property, meaning no bad PR photos. Just a handful of neutron bombs will be sufficient. Unlike other nuclear weapons, neutron bomb radiation dissipates in a week, allowing Israeli soldiers in a subsequent ground invasion to pass right through the nuked areas to reach the Iranian nuclear facilities, so experts can be brought in to carefully destroy or dismantle them without excessive release of radiation throughout the region. This is the only way. In The Prince (Chapter 3) Machiavelli wrote, "The injury we do to a man must be such that we need not fear his vengeance." There is no way to facilitate an easy invasion of Iran without sowing chaos in the land. A hydrogen bomb on Tehran would do this, at a cost of up to 12 million lives. Those lives can be saved if, instead, a neutron bomb is detonated over the Alborz Mountains to the north of Tehran. If detonated at the right spot and at the right altitude this would leak into Tehran just enough radiation to cause panic and pandemonium in the city, effectively evacuating the city temporarily and creating chaos across the whole country, making the Israeli ground invasion of Iran much easier. This would facilitate disruption of the whole country every bit as much as a hydrogen bomb on Tehran and would save 12 million lives. And because the neutron bomb causes no long-term fallout, the city of Tehran could be occupied a week later. Just one neutron bomb on the Alborz Mountains will ensure that the Iranian populace has lost its enthusiasm for jihad. The whole country will be in chaos. Meanwhile, stories in the press of Israeli soldiers desperately marching through nuked areas to reach Tehran and Iranian nuclear facilities will cast them in a heroic light, even though, in fact, those areas will not be radioactive by the time IDF ground forces march through them. All the government ministries and key national infrastructure are in Tehran. We want to take over those offices. We want to get into the files there in the same way that seizing German files at the end of World War II helped confirm the extent of the Holocaust. We want those Iranian files because they contain vast evidence of Iran's atom bomb program. This evidence will help us fully find and dismantle that program and it will also be proof to the world that Iran's nuclear designs were not peaceful, justifying the whole Israeli nuclear attack on Iran. More at the source. So - who is threatening who? Really???

Jews barred from renting apartments in Nice, France
buffycat replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
As usual an really enlightened response from you M. WRT Bonam: My source is B'TSelem - you might want to look them up sometime - or present your own facts (but I guess for all of you it's far easier to simply use adhominen!) pffft BTW M - what does 'das it gott' mean? If it's a weak attempt to marry the bastardized german you have written with some kind of Nazi association, you might want to actually look up how to spell it. could it be Das ist Gott? or is it Das ist gut? Pretty lame however, though I'm certainly not surprised!
