A Muslim inmate has won $2,000 for bacon insult
buffycat replied to ScottSA's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Why is this something that YOU would do? Recall - the one who smells it usually dealt it... -
To you? Not much.... seeing you never seem to READ and COMPREHEND what others are saying to you!! It's just twist and shout all the live long day!!! Did you watch the interview? Yet? Or have you already decided before actually hearing everything? (You usual modus operendi!!) So, I restate: Betsy ....never mind....

Well for those of you here who did not listen to the entire Q&A session (which is most likely ALL of those who had comprehension problems with my previous posts ) here it is: Iran Tube I'm pretty sure this is most of it.

jbg two examples from the top of my head: JDL's Irv Rubin and The Purple Gang - look em up!! In fact isn't the JDL on the terror list for the bombings they have planned to carry out? Hmmmm?? (AFAIR they were also responsible for a fire bombing up here in TO). NO group has the corner of the market on crime!! Oh and as for the pork thing - wasn't that already discussed here?? -
First off, thank GostHacked you seem to be the only one who caught my drift. As for sharkman - whatever - do you ever actually add anything to a conversation outside of false accusations? pfft... whatevah!! Betsy - well never mind... AW - no I don't actually believe ANY politicians (with perhaps the exception of Ron Paul these days). I certainly don't trust or believe that Harper or Bush has the best interests of their nations at heart - does Ahmendinjad? Probably not - but - and please don't construe this as support for him on my part - he DID explain a few things which we in the West should pay some heed too. Things like 'stop messing around in other's countries'. Do keep in mind that the US/UK have been messing about for decades in Iran - so is it any wonder they are a tad upset with the MIC????

I can't believe this thread went on so long. I guess boobs get folks going! IMO it's pretty clear: If any kind of reconstuction is deemed necessary due to MEDICAL reasons - not VANITY - it should be covered. If it's simply to augment one's body for purely self indulgent reasons - pay for it yourself. How hard is that to understand?

I didn't say that he was - I just said he was certainly more believable. I also said I didn't agree with him. Can you answer the question I asked? Or do you just have a quip little one liner with no intelligent substance? Just vieled insults? Did you listen to the entire broadcast? Did you listen to his answers - off the cuff btw - to the many harlined questions he was asked? (I'll answer for you - since you like to do it to everyone else around here - NO YOU didn't? )
-
Did either or you even listen to it? Frankly, I think Bollinger was really rather rude, but at least he did provide a venue for which Mr. Ahmedinejad could answer back and express himself. (Which he did quite well - regardless of whether one agrees with him or not). It was interesting to see the style of hardline questions addressed to Ahmedinejad, sharp and to the point, something which one would never imagine being asked of Mr. Bush or Harper - funny that. All in all I think he did well. Outside of the homosexual comment (which I think perhaps might have been an attempt at humour - he was smiling) he was quite rational in all his responses and did raise some very good points wrt learning, understanding and questioning the status quo. I kept imagining Bush trying to address a hostile crowd of uni students in Iran with the same grace, but somehow couldn't picture it. Ahmedinejad is certainly not a stupid man - anyone who thinks so is totally fooling themselves. Whether one agrees or not with him, which of course I don't on a few levels (but I don't agree with ANY politician on all levels anyhow!), he is certainly far more believable than our southern nieghbour or our own dear leader. At the very least he had no fear in being asked VERY blunt and difficult questions. I'd like to see Harper or Bush do the same. (I'm not holding my breath).

I came across this at another forum - it was a good little laugh! Though I'm not sure where the original came from, I think the guy at the link did write it. Enjoy Evolution has produced an element that has become clearly identifiable in the past decade or two. Recent hurricanes and gasoline issues are proof of the existence of a new chemical element. Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2-6 years; It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's Mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons **** Link to author (?) What unmitigated nonsense and hateful musings. Why is this allowed here? What if someone were to write: When Jesus rose from Hell - or Yaweh rose from hell? Hmmm? Or how about Krishna? Or Buddha? Hmmmm?? Not only is this sort of tripe bigotted and offensive - but it is also factually incorrect. You are one hateful person Scott.

Marketing the attack on Iran through the media
buffycat replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Have you been drinking? That's one heck of alot of typos Dancer. On the topic of attacking Iran, I think it's pretty clear to all that it would be insane. Note that the same folks who were bellowing for the 'cakewalk' in Iraq are the same bunch of bloodthirsty chickenhawks who are screaming for a military strike on Iran! To see you advocating the killing of research personel is truly a new low. -

The majority of women here in Canada who CHOOSE to wear the viel are very devout women, and while I may not follow their traditions myself in this so called FREE country I will defend these women's right to do so. I think that this the whole point that you so obviously missed. It's like the freedom of speech thing - while I might not agree with what another has to say I will defend their right to say it. Get it now? edited to comment on the burning of bras: bad idea - especially for more well endowed women! -
Wow... really slipping today huh? LINK

Hi back at 'cha tbud!! Nice to see you again ! Well I truly hope that ALL of them show up! The 'activist' part of me would love to see a solidarity display of the sisterhood of women - we gals should all don the viel on voting day! (I guess that's the $hit disturber in me eh? ) -
Where are you? Are they secret police? All police have ID badges, and yes some here in Canada have name tags too!! (At least the ones I have had dealings with, like when my car has been stolen ;P )
-
Yep... ya got that one right, mate! I think its been an outright disaster down there, crime rates up, home invasions up etc. By taking away law abiding citizen's right to defend themselves it makes them utterly dependent on the Police State to 'protect' them - and we all know what a bang up job they do on that!!

Do you think that OBL is the guy in the video?
buffycat replied to Topaz's topic in The Rest of the World
Ignore BC2004 and Dancer they're just being their normal abbrasive selves. There is a running thread on Osama in the US Politics section, check it out Is it Osama? I sure don't think so, IMO he's dead. (Or he may as well be). -
"Harper rips Elections Canada over veil ruling"
buffycat replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We were discussing this last night and bouncing some ideas around as to why all the hooplah about the veil and the need to show one's face, coupled with the plain fact that one can vote by mail (as pointed out earlier in this thread). So the question rose up: Why set the precedent using the 'veil' as the scapegoat excuse to enforce one's face being shown to vote? Is there another agenda here lurking in the shadows? If so, what could it be? Could it be perhaps that after the veil issue is law - ie one MUST show one's face in order to vote - all other remote voting (mail; proxy etc) will also be revoked? This of course would fit in well with the whole drive towards biometric IDs and face recognition technologies. Will they be asking for our fingerprints next? Something to think about anyway, since folks vote by mail currently, and so do not show their faces this whole veil thing really makes no sense - it feels like there is something missing in the context. Anyway - just musings on the continued assaults on all of our liberties...
