  1. No, of course not - but I think it's refreshing when words of truth (no matter how ugly) come pouring from their mouths - lets folk see what kind of persons actually hold reigns of power. As usual you are spinning...don't you get dizzy???
  2. I haven't commented here, for a few reasons I won't get into. But - really what purpose would have been served in bombing the camps? Honestly? This is just more BS which doesn't matter anymore. It's propaganda raising the old spectre of hatred - something not in short supply these days (just directed at a new group). With this reasoning perhaps someone should bomb gitmo!!
  3. I rest my case. See Angus???? There are lots of folk here who can't wait for another blood soaked war!!
  4. So, you advocate governments keeping the public in the dark?
  5. Kuzadd, I don't know why you are bothering... the folks that want to see more carnage and destruction will continue to do so - otherwise their carefully constructed worlds and belief systems will fall apart! And that is VERY scary for some folks! (they like the wool over their eyes, clouding their vision!!) That said, it's quite clear that this whole thing is nothing but an exercise in propaganda (see the goering quote! ).
  6. Lame... usual one line drivel with nothing important to add. Well done Dancer - you keep living up to expectations! I think Kuzadd and Jefferiah are bang on - this is a slippery slope and as nothing to do with public well-being. But carry on with what you think are 'cute' little rebuttals!! Oh so intelligent and oh so informed. *gag*
  7. Kengs, this is where you should have stopped. No one is suggesting that there isn't climate change occuring - that is a natural event. What is uncertain is the degree to which human activity is contributing. There is no consensus about it - even amongst some of the hard core AGW supporters. There are far too many factors which influence climate and shorter weather phenomena to sum it all up and blame it solely on Carbon emissions. That is a FACT. Solar influences, orbital forcing, continental alignments, biomass influences - to name a few. To blame all the weather woes on CO2 emissions is to be niave at the very least.
  8. What the heck does this have to do with a group of so-called christians abusing thier power and subjecting children to really cruel and outright sickening punishments - all the while getting nice and rich? Oh - it's a trolling post I see! Keep the Dr. Paul comments in the Dr. Paul thread Rue - or did you forget where you were during your fitful and furious ? As far as these folks - who are calling themselves Christians - how do you feel? Not a word about that - or in your case as always a whole whack of words (blah blah blah... spit fume roar!).
  9. First off, welcome back! Now, in Defence of the Dog - he isn't the only one! This leads me to an observation which rings true on many threads. When a piece such as the OP is posted - then later it turns out that what was expressed in the initial article was untrue, or obviously exaggerated and 'enhanced' (read: still untrue!) - certain posters resort immediately to adhominen, smear, and off topic banter (read clueless derogatory one-liners). Never - never - do they address the fact that the opening article or theme has been debunked. They so WANT it to be true - to further and justify their belief system - that they just close their eyes and don't address one fact. In this specific case wrt the Iranian speedboats and the 'recorded' voices - filipino monkey?? - it is clear that this whole event was reported for propaganda purposes only. That was clear the moment it came out to those with a few critical thinking skills. Yet - those who want this war, harbour their prejudices against an entire society, those who cannot separate a people from their government, convince themselves that it does not matter that the information was flawed - the war chant must continue. Such a black and white viewpoint. Sad really. They cannot seem to see that those of us who speak out against pre-emptive aggressive war policies are NOT supporting the 'socalled enemy' as they insist on saying we do. This is one of the more common adhoms - expressed often as "The left loves the terrorists" Which needs no explaining as to why it is so absolutely stupid. I do not support the administration currently in power in Iran. I don't condone terror tactics no matter who is employing them, whether to others or their own citizens. Whether it is 'us' or 'them' because ultimately - the us and them is you and me, never those who are truly politicising for war and never those who sit in the 'boardrooms' reaping the profits. Yet the bleating jingoists continue despite the obvious lies. I think Goebbels summed these citizens and their gullability up very well: “Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
  10. Angus I am not going to name names on here, but there are quite a few posters who would support an attack on Iran, even a nuclear one. I suggest to read a few more of their posts where they talk about a nuclear scenario and how it actually could be won. Granted some are not posting as much as they used to, but any looksy through some of the older threads wrt Iran will out them quite well. I do not want to see the people of Iran being bombed back into the stoneage - while I certainly do not have good feelings for their governmental theocracy I see no reason for the poor folks in Iran to pay the price. Also, last I checked it is NOT the Iranians screaming for war or for a pre-emptive attack on a soveriegn nation. Those screaming for blood are the US and Israel - period. Even the EU and other Arab nations do NOT want to see a full pfledged attack, perhaps involving limited nuclear strikes.
  11. Sorry AW, I must have missed your query the first time 'round ! Specifically, I think Dr. Paul could accomplish much that would improve America and bring her back to her prestigious and idealisitic roots. Let me say, I don't 'hate' Americans, I wish that Canada had a Constitution as beautiful and inspiring as yours. What attracts me to his message is just that - a return to the fundamentals laid out within the Constitution and Bill of Rights - both wonderful documents which over the last decades have seen more time in the shredder than in the halls of governance! Dr. Paul is advocating the end to federal income taxes and decreases in the overspending rampant in the big government environment prevelant today in DC. Conservatism used to stand for Small Government, decentralized government and less intrusion into the lives of all individuals. Heavy taxes do nothing to help the economy - the beast upon which ALL else depends. Higher taxes in fact often lead to downfalls in both national and local economies and more often than not it is the small to medium business that pay dearly. This leads to a change in the market landscape - with only the big cats left, carpet-bagging the ailing and defunkt smaller (usually family owned) endeavours. This is NOT a good thing in the long run for any country. As an example, we have seen this with the loss of the family farms in both the US and Canada - did these farms stop producing food? Of course not - they get bought up by the huge Agri-business corporations who care nothing for quality assurance as they reap their monopoly over everyone's food and seed supply. Over taxing played a big role in this, in both countries, and shows very little evidence of stopping. While the farmers may remain on the land, still working it - they no longer own it - so tell me the difference between this and serfdom. (Hint: there is none - only the names have been changed). High taxes shackle people from their own free will and stifle community spirits - instead of people banding together wrt social issues - they look to the bloated government agencies - and expect - aye feel 'entitled'- to 'get their fair share, it becomes a battle of the lobbies and often more money is spent on that than the actual social issue which is being addressed!! Then of course, these trough fillers say they need to take MORE money out of our pockets!! (it's a viscious circle - and inevitably the services the gov. offers decline rapidly as our contribution to them rises). So, high income taxes = economic downfall (but never for the really rich - or big corporations - funny that!). Here is Dr. Paul's campaign site page wrt taxes. On the right side near the bottom is a long list of his own writings wrt taxes and debt - better for you to read his words and not really mine - though I agree with much of what he says regarding the overstretched paws of government taking MY money, that I work for! Well, I'll have to say I part company with Ron on this one, in so much as making illegal all kinds of abortion. While I staunchly support the right for a woman to choose, I do believe there needs to be some control over the timing of abortions. If I understand Ron correctly - it is the late term abortions made allowable by Roe vs. Wade that Dr. Paul is against. He also wants to leave it up to the individual state as to how to deal with this issue. It's a very emotionally charged issue, and to be frank, even if Dr. Paul became president it would be unlikely that the laws as it stands now would be overturned. I would never want to see a return of the back alley abortionists - but at the same time - ideally - I would not like to see the practice continue. Well, I don't think any government should be involved in 'aid'. It ends up simply being a political tool in so many ways. There are plenty of NGOs around who can and do do the same thing - and if truly aid - it needs to be done without any strings attached. Currently it's a farce of 'Hey we will give you x amount of 'aid' if you allow us to rape and pillage y amount of your lands!! So, no I don't think ANY government should be involved in this sort of thing. WRT Israel, if she hadn't recieved the huge sums of money she has from the US, she may have learned to get on a little better with her neighbours. Perhaps she would have even given up on the Occupation and grudgingly allowed for the Palestinians to actually have a land. As it stands now, her dependence on Daddy Warbucks has put a choke hold on her, she has prostituted herself as the 'American' base in the ME and by doing that has given up her soveriegnty and engaged in behaviours which in no way benefit her and her people as a nation. At the same time, the US' close relationship with the right wing Likud faction in Israel, responsible for the increase of illegal settlements, increase in checkpoints and destruction of property has led to an even greater dislike of America's policies vis a vis the Palestinians. IOW America's support of clearly racist policies of certain Israeli Administrations has tarnished and pretty much destroyed what years ago was an ammicable relationship with the Arab world. Keep in mind that America did not have problems with the Arab states until the creation of Israel - and the American endorsement of what they saw as ethnic cleansing of the native inhabitants of then British Mandate Palestine. It is as you know, a long and complicated history. However, ensuring Israel's dependence on US $$ does nothing good for either the Israelis (in terms of soveriegnty) or the Americans (in terms of credibility). This mess has much to do the MIC greed and the desire to empire build by certain factions of both the US and Israeli elite (keep in mind that the elites NEVER have the best interests of their own people at heart). Oddly this leads to the whole problem of interventionism and favouritism in US foriegn policy which has proved very bad for the US on the whole. Paul has been accussed of being a 'radical isolationist', I really don't think that is the case. There is a difference between Non-Intervention and Isolationism. On the one hand a non-interventionist will have no problems trading with, talking to and working with other nations for both diplomatic and economic reasons. The non-interventionist will not however, sponsor covert political and military actions against other soveriegn nations, they will not launch wars of aggression in order to ensure 'dominance' over a resource which does NOT belong to them. A non-interventionist will not prop up foriegn regimes and puppet governments to ensure monopolies over the resources. I think you get my drift. An Isolationist on the other hand - will simply close their borders and rot in their own xenophobic ways.
  12. This whole story has no more truth to it than the Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman fiascos. There is BS coming from all sides on this one. I think the question which really needs to asked is 'who benefits'? Is this another attempt at a 'Gulf of Tonkin' excuse to wage war on Iran? All nicely timed for Bush's visit to his handlers in Israel? (BTW he has promised Netanyahu to be onside with Israel to launch a nuclear strike against Iran (how nice). This is all just more lies - and the damage it has done to America is going to take a very long time to rectify - if it can be at all. With the US economy in the trashbin, the housing market in freefall, the debt climbing higher and higher - the only ones to benefit from more war is the MIC and the Bankers - period. But all you war groupies keep biting on your bits - I'm sure with mr. End of Days Bush your armageddon will be here shortly. Too bad for the rest of us.
  13. Rue - cut it out with your BS posts, which twist and smear whatever I have (or oftentimes - have NOT said). My respect for Mr. Paul has zippo to do with Zionism Rue, so you can stuff that into your pipe and haul away. What I DO admire about Paul is his stance on Foriegn policy (non-interventionism), his desire to tackle the criminal Federal Reserve and his love of the US Constitution. He is an individualist - a true libertarian. Now, as far as your pathetic attempts at character smear (typical of a certain ilk of folks - who FEAR any change to the status quo) how about listening to HIS actual words: http://www.nationalexpositor.com/News/898.html Here he is Wolf Blitzer - countering the BS smears of racism which is purely a political attack. (Someone is afraid). In the meantime - your darling Hitlerly is cosy with murderers and thugs, and drug dealers too!! Not to mention some of the really nasty business practices (tainted blood?!). So, whatever to all you fearmongerers - either listen to what he actually says - or as usual take the msm talking heads' point of view and go back to your grazing. (By the way Rue, by cutting off foreign aid to Israel - AND the Arab states - it frees Israel up to do whatever she darn well pleases without having to beg to Daddy US$$$.)
  14. I'll reword this for you: "I've never been in "THE" barn". Meaning the BS manufacturing site that so many others get their daily propaganda from. Baaaabaaabaaaaa edited to add: Is this the best you can do Dancer? I think you need to learn a few new steps!!
  15. Yeah jazzer I do - I think the difference is that when it happens in the US they at least have enough patriots left to make a noise - here so many are so apathetic and our media so darn controlled that there is no groundswell of reaction. I found it odd in our last local elections that they used the accuvote by diebold - and the results were, to say the least, somewhat surprising. Oh - and I see your Florida and Michigan escapades and raise the Ohio ones too!
  16. I've never been in the barn - though I imagine you know it quite well. How big is your shovel? (thinking you have one of those power shovels!! - you must with the amount of S*** you move around here!)
  17. Sadly, true these days. Though keep in mind that Canada is NOT immune to this either. There were voting discrepencies in Edmonton during the last election - it was mentioned a couple of times then dropped. We are just as bad - if not worse.
  18. The bovine excrement meter just exploded with the above post!!!!!!
  19. For those here who are staunch supporters of the current AGW myth, you may want to review this document - it lays it out in very simple terms - written by Tim Patterson: The Geologic Record and Climate Change CO2 is NOT a predominant greenhouse gas - never was and never will be. Does this mean we can disregard the damage that we humans are actually doing? Of course not!! All that AGW seems to do is take the onus off FAR more important pollutants within our environment - things we can REALLY change. So sad so many have fallen victim to this LIE.
  20. Well it seems there seems to be alot of problems associated with the vote count in NH. We have convicted Felons running the company who counted over 80% of the votes!! For those here who still have a neuron functioning: Black Box Voting Very funny stuff going on - not at all a surprise given the stolen election of 2000, and 2004 (and 2006) - there have even been arrests wrt the 2004 counts in Ohio. Perhaps it's time to call in independent observers to the US elections!
  21. Well it seems that this story is rather befuddled: ABC News Today, the spokesperson for the U.S. admiral in charge of the Fifth Fleet clarified to ABC News that the threat may have come from the Iranian boats, or it may have come from somewhere else. We're saying that we cannot make a direct connection to the boats there," said the spokesperson. "It could have come from the shore, from another ship passing by. However, it happened in the middle of all the very unusual activity, so as we assess the information and situation, we still put it in the total aggregate of what happened Sunday morning. I guess we're not saying that it absolutely came from the boats, but we're not saying it absolutely didn't." **** Good grief... and this is the sort of BS that the neonazis want to begin yet another mideast war over??? Holy crap...
  22. Michael, 'beds down'??! LOL The newsletter you speak of was NOT written by Ron Paul. I imagine that is one of the reasons he started his 'Texas Straight Talk' newletter online, where the sole contributer is Dr. Paul. The individual responsible for the piece was fired immediately - what else would you have Dr. Paul do? As far as accepting the 500$ from Dork Black - So what? Why should he give it back? Use the idiot's money. So what? I'm sure there were alot of rather distasteful folks who contribute to various political endeavours - so what. Again - you do not address the message that Dr. Paul is endorsing - small government, non-intervention, culling the welfare state, decreasing Federal powers, enabling local powers, end to the WARS, end to the private control of currency, end of Federal income taxes, END of BIG government - instead you just cry the same debunked tune over and over. I get it now though, you are a gatekeeper afterall. Too bad since so many of your other posts I actually respected and agreed with. Have fun being the guard Dog.
  23. deleted - due to the stupid shift problem....
  24. PSST... Rue - this is simply BS of the highest order. Do a search yourself - you can even go to Stormfront (an Alphabet government sponsored false flag) and see that these nutbars are NOT all behind Paul. They know he is NOT a 'white supremacist (whatever the F that is). You, my dear sir are playing the gatekeeper, and spreading FALSE info. The KKK has been DEAD for a long time now, David Duke is pretty much a non-starter. I have read and listened to Paul for many years Rue, and while I am not always in agreement with his views, I am impressed by his consistency, his support of Constitutional ideals and his desire to halt the US' dive towards utter facism. As usual, though the detractors here use the same old smears (unfounded) and barely address the issues at hand. The War on Terra, The War on Some Drugs, the Welfare State, Interventionist policies (CIA covert ops resulting in puppet dictatorships sponsored by the US taxpayers and the CIA's Cocaine smuggling ventures). So - talk about the messages - or keep posting your juvenille smears. Here Rue, just for you, is an article written by Raimondo wrt to these totally BS smears: LINK
  25. Hi Pindar, Just thought I would post this link, I have yet to listen myself - but I thought you might be interested: The Bilderberg Group - Rulers of the World "Interview with investigator and author, Daniel Estulin, on his book, "The True Story of the Bilderberg Group", which describes an annual gathering where the European and American political elite, and the wealthiest CEOs of the world, all come together to discuss the economic and political future of humanity. Highly secretive, the press has never been allowed to attend, nor have statements ever been released on the group's conclusions or discussions. Also discussed are the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission."
