Chrystia definitely has some of those "Medieval issues" with the Russians. From the mother's side, mainly...Nazi grandfather...and all that. Common with Ukrainians during WW2 as many viewed the Germans at the time as liberators...that would change...
Same with Volga German types like myself...only to a much lesser degree. Stalingrad is much further away than Kiev. Stalin liquidated most of the remaining Volga Germans in the USSR around 1942 as a precaution.

I see your point, Dog. After that much time it's in the blood. Like the fall of Yugoslavia, it proved certain things.
Also those Euro's are much more akin to blowing the absolute crap out of each other, including carpet bombing and land-mining, than we are here in NA. Thank you, Atlantic Ocean...
