Agreed....they are certainly mingling the labels and terms. But why would "Filipino" be OK but not "Chinese" ?

I would agree. Chinese is a pejorative way of describing all South Asian people.
It would be like calling all Hispanic people Mexican.

Organizations often use style guides in their public facing content, but it appears that the CBC purposely altered this Blood Services source graphic for the story.
