  1. exit stage leftright.
  2. He needs the separtists to prop him up and he is going to give them money to do it. I can't see the difference, can you see the difference, is there a difference?
  3. That truly sums it up. I love the wording. Not normally a fan of Scott Ried, but the analysys is pretty good, coming from Mr. Beer and Popcorn. Don't back down on DION Battle Cry the CPC
  4. He has 8 days. Good luck with that.
  5. You carry a false myth around when you travel and talk on the net.
  6. Its too early to tell. What the LPC,NDP and BQ have done is make news. Those that are following the news appear to agree with the coalition. Those who don't follow the news are saying WTF? The CPC attack machine is out and at it, but not making the impact needed. Plus the LPC/NDP spinners are using the same format to counter the attack dogs. It is looking rediculous to see the same talking points come from 30 impartial citizens in a row, word for word. It looks weak and desperate. Which is how a government feels when it is about to fall. 8 Days is an eternity. THis could cool down, or heat up, or backfire worse on the CPC or backfire worse on the LPC/NDP and BQ. The only thing is, the LPC/NDP and BQ have nothing, absolutely NOTHING to lose by attempting to go for it. There will only be one political loser = Harper and one real loser = the public from this brinksmanship.
  7. Argus, is the heat getting to you? Are you going to lose your cushy government job? If I was born yesterday, I wouldn't be shocked to hear this talk of a coalition government and take it seriously. See I was born the day before yesterday. And if you consider all the information you have given on how different these parties are, it is clear to me, Harper has screwed up terribly to unite this bunch. Mr. Harper was trying to do them all at once. And they wanted a kiss and hug first. Maybe a conservation and date, before he took him to your said bathhouse and offered them the shaft. Now he wants to kiss and make up. AH, yes, I have to wonder how those gay analogies work for those CPC Ministers who are GAY.
  8. Don't run for parliment. You just did an Elizabeth May. Canadians are Stupid URL
  9. He is a disconnected elitist. He currently meets my ABD requirements, but is this all there is on offer? Someone who hasn't been in Canada for 30 years?
  10. No he was sticking it to Paul Martin.
  11. I saw Dion on the NEWs today. He makes me ill, so very very ill. Not to get ahead of myself, but if this coalition things continues to gain momentum, there has to be an ABD campaign. Anyone But Dion.
  12. While I understand the period you were talking about, it was more to release tensions and people were acting petty and beligerent. The irony of a typing error becoming offensive and the joke not offensive or funny, is rather humouress to me. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out....but no, I am not going to worry about it. Its not like I am losing the Prime Ministers Chair.
  13. Wow 42 votes and now the Coalition forces are pulling out a commanding lead on MLW, but there is one problem that occurs in the followup poll. There is no strong or fair liberal leadership choice. Part of that is my problem for not having an other column, but right now their is support for the overthrow and installation of a coalition, but not as much support for the coalition leader as their is for Harper as Prime Minister. Interesting........ BTW, this was never intended to be a real serious thread on coalition governments when it started. It has taken a life of its own.....
  14. Yeah, need to put his name in spell check. Here are some other offender and if you cannot handle that his name was not the joke, but his nickname was, then I feel bad for your lack of humour. Hit the report button I consider it a badge of honour to know that I offend the left the right and the up and down, without trying. Cretien Chretian Kretchen Chretchen and the proper spelling Chrétien (Nice Accent eh)
  15. A coalition government cannot split the vote...... There is no divided left. There are 3 very different parties with one common goal. Make Parliment work during an economic crises and remove the Prime Minister with the tin ear and a passion for bullying.
  16. Its amazing the trouble Wikipedia will get you into.
  17. The former is true, the latter is nonsense. The Liberals had been in the fetal position since Harper took power in 06. They got kicked around pretty good in the election of 08 and the only thing certain, was they were going to remain in the fetal position. I cannot blame anyone when lying on the ground in a ball and crying like a baby. But leave it to Harper to try to Take one swift kick at the head of a downed near unconscious opponent. Payback is a bitch. I see only oneside to blame for this self inflicted political crises.
  18. Start a Progressives for Conservatives site. Progressive Coalition VS Progressive Conservative History repeating itself?
  19. Looks lame.
  20. LOL, Canada has never been stronger, and less divided politically. Large Majority Mulroney Governments faced huge turmoil and lose coalitions all under the roof of one party. The PCs where a coalition of sorts, especially with separatists such as Lucien Bouchard. I think right we are faced with a bunch of whinge buckets at the moment, but it has little to do with the political affairs across the country. People are more worried about shrinking markets then whining political losers.
  21. Makes no difference. The train has left the station. I just noticed that the Coalition side has overtaken the government side in this poll. Once again, exactly the opposite of the government funding poll, where those against the funding have taken the lead.
  22. Actually the past 11 days have been alarming. I have been talking to numerous people in the field, wondering how we went from 10s to 1000s in such a short period. Walk in traffic is huge, and the numbers are yet to ring in. But it is everything from iT people, internet providers, retail outlets, communications, small business, and independent skilled trades and sales people, looking for the magic solution out of this F#@#&$(# MESS. And it is a mess if you didn't live in a glass tower. However, anyone who manages to maintain steady employment through the next couple of years will not notice anything different other then lower prices and better deals. Harper is a loser, but I doubt he has lost his job, nor will he.
  23. Do you know his nickname on the world stage before he was finally pushed out by Martin? It was........ DINO as in DINOSAUR because he was so old. Chretian: We need to find a New Leader........One Like Me Someone who has been around(Salt and Pepper with your own Chretianspeak)! They call me DINO you know ..... DINO......DINO.......... DI** How about...........DION.................... Chretian: NO NO NO, this guys an IDIOT, I won't back him. Liberal insider: Its the best that we can do. Raes name is short, and Ignatieff is too long. DION name is just right. October 15th, 2008 DION Chretian: Hey ED, Ed Broadbent. We have no leader, and we want to take down Harper. What do you think? Ed: Sure Jean. Anyone but DION is good, he's an idiot. Get rid of DION, DINO. You be Prime Minister and I be Minister of Finance
  24. That's correct and you cleverly left out the country which does not have Public Funding of Political Parties. The United Kingdom to whom our governor general is beholden and to which our parlimentary system is modelled from. The Labour Party has seen no need to fund themselves with public monies. And this many parties won seats... of 58 political parties.
