  1. Kelly McParland: The Stephane Dion doomsday clock is at 3 minutes to midnight
  2. 1982....Is Trudeau Back? tra la la la la Queu the music...Violins please Its reported that Flaherty has scheduled a business trip in the bahamas. Time to get a cushy overpaid government job.
  3. Follow your own thread back. You stated that you want to see the Prime Minister dissolve parliment and call an election. You clarified that position again. You want an election and under this scenario, no matter how much I disagree with having an election, I can say and say it again. you have great ideas.
  4. If the Prime Minister gives the Finger to Dion, Layton and Duceppe and then they turn around and give him the finger back, and then the GG comes home and tells them to go to their ridings for a "time out". Just how in the hell is this giving the finger to the west. Get the chip off your shoulder.
  5. What's wrong with Monday? Why wait till christmas? I can't stand looking at that his face. Are they going to gag him until he resigns? He doesn't think he is giving us a Christmas Present by resigning does he?
  6. You have Great Ideas.
  7. I thought they could use the next 7 weeks off fully paid with all parlimentary perks and privledges. This is a tough time, CHristmas is coming, then New Years, and alot of those gala events and holiday travel are ahead. It's time our Parlimentarians had some time off. They work real hard, and sometimes, well, the people who work there, you know, the other MPs, well they are pretty difficult. I find that MPs behave much better when on a trip to Bermuda or Mexico. A trip to Europe is nice too. It is great to be with the family. Things are tough right now. No time to be in Canada. Didn't you know, housing prices are falling, industry is leaving, and as mentioned today Record Unemployment Jump. This is no time to be in the house. Have you never played hot potato? That is the economy, and I think, if we wait long enough. It will get better. Apparently all the MPs are going to Santa Clause to put a strong economy in their stockings. Apparently last year, they mistook the lump of coal as an sign that Global Warming doesn't exist or does exist, and they started fighting about it. So this year they are asking Santa Clause to come up with a clear solution to the economy, and not screw it up like last year. In the meantime, its holiday season for all the parlimentarians. None of them want to meet the locals. They know the public is mad as hell at them. So, it is very important that there wages continue and their pension contributions and well, Bernier has a new traveling companion to try out. Politicians were elected to prorogue parliment. This is good. See, I think they are going to like this so much, they will do it again. There is alot more time to think about important issues when your in France or the UK, and far less distractions. For this reason, MPs aren't interested in an election. Life is good. And yes, someday, maybe late January, they can come back to work and do their job, which is, how to get the electorated distracted enough to buy another pack of gum on their tab. Anyone foolish enough to think that the public wants another election, I mean the public, not partisan hacks, will triple compound the efforts of Harper and Dion. Now is the time to deal with the economy. We look like a bunch of jackasses to the world. We are supposed to be a Gobal leader. I can just see Canada report to the G8. Well, we just closed parliment. What do you think Gordon Brown?
  8. There you go again......
  9. hmm........... Hope that helps
  10. Correct, and they shutdown parliment. The coalition has many descriptions, but nothing to indicated a "rogue regime" Now you are full of it..... but that is expected from paid partisans. Yes. I believe that is a typo, and you mean heart. Do it all the time myself. I don't believe that ANY MP on the within the last week had ONE SINGLE CANADIAN in their mind when they started playing Russian Roulette. That starts at the top with the Prime Minister, then to the Finance Minister then the trickle down effect of petty politics and political brinksmanship. Harper ain't any better.... his job was to save his own hairy butt.... I dislike Dion. Harper is a polarizing force sitting as Prime Minister. The crises was of his own making. That has nothing to do with hate. If you are wondering why the government was close to be removed, just turn to the Prime Minister. These clowns, and Clowns they are, these childish babies are receiving a Paid Christmas and New Years vacation, while people working and not working are having to resort to food banks for the first time in their lives. Don't tell me about this Harper and the recession. I see it, and it stinks like the PM his caucus and the rest of our MPs who are sitting in the corner with their Dunce Caps on.
  11. The previous poster only stated his position and said NOTHING offensive. For you to make outrageous racial statements is offensive to me, and has nothing to do with this thread. I have never reported anyone....but you are close to having me set a personal precedent.
  12. So, am I going to take a trip to Toronto and find people or not? From either side? Actually, I don't even have the Date time and locations of any of these rallies... I thought there was a PRo/Con one of each in Toronto at the same time. Were they last night or are they Saturday Night or is it a moot point. I believe that none of them will generate people.....or media.
  13. Banana Republics prorogue their parliments when confronted.
  14. I don't think the poll will make Rae back off. However, while Rae is an excellent communicator, he is not viewed as a positive amongst the voting public. His biggest asset at this point in time is that he is not Dion. I would point to the MLW poll that ran here, (MINE ) where of 82 votes, only 3 considered Rae..... That is not encouraging if that is the view of political hacks.... I think the LPC should use their Harper Paid Vacation money, and take a media course or video production course. Could learn a thing or two about lighting
  15. If the CPC speak with comments like yours, I would expect there to be a continued lack of confidence in the house. If the economy was all important to the government, parliment would be operating and not on paid vacation. If the economy was all important, Flaherty would have held and economic update that actually talked about the economy instead of creating a Political, Constitutional, and Nationalist crises. Bravo.
  16. Give your head a shake not your hands. Dion did himself in, 3 short days. THere is no doubt that the coalition momentum had Harper on his heels and then the LPC supported Dion, and Dion did everything he was capable of without intereference. Harper was too busy on the defensive and then orchestrating the offensive, which didn't focus on Dion, but more on the BQ. Not a wise move IMHO. The public does not like Dion. Imagine if Harper did reinforce that negative, those LPC numbers would be in single digits. In the meantime, the Harper Government spread parlimentary BS, and rallied the public, something Dion is incapable of and doesn't understand, and then didn't use this strength, but choose to hide behind Michelle Jean and a questionable Proroguing of parliment. I don't know if the CPC did a fantastic job, but the Dion camp are pathetic and useless. Anyone who reads more into these polling numbers shouldn't confuse the obvious with the unobtainable. The CPC polling numbers are up, but they can't use them, because only 16% of people are interested in an election. That is the lowest number I have ever witnessed. Going to the polls with numbers like this in the foreseeable future will result in unpredictable election results, possibly radical ones. If you are wondering where the problem is... Dion destroyed a coalition in 3 short days, a couple incomprehensible speeches and a failed Television Network Address. It doesn't get worse then that. Dion was and is the only goofball to let Harper off the hook from his antics. I believe the CPC could well have made it through this crises. Not that they shouldn't have, but I think instead of learning a lesson, which is where they were last week, when everyone was questioning why Harper created a crises, I believe that they CPC will get cocky, belieiving they can get away with their antics, and poor behaviour. If parliment is going to grow up, it has to start with the Prime Minister and trickle down.
  17. Sad sad sad.... Why did the LPC even bother. rickroll KEWL
  18. I was thinking of attending.....erm both, I thought some were on the same day and in the same cities and nearby each other, like Toronto or such. Great to have taken a camera. My question is.... is the Anti-Coalition, Democracy Rally still on? Are the Coalition Rallys still on? And if so.... why?
  19. You have just scared the hell out of me. I am glad I am not a woman. Just the thought of what you say.... Dion...a chance... you made it sound so real. What you just describe.....Ewwwwww.
  20. Thank you, I am serious
  21. If you make me pee my pants again, I am sending you the cleaning bill.
  22. Having read the early Civil War thread postings by Wulf..... they speak for themselves.
