Does anyone else believe that statement? This is the only reason a joke thread could have turned serious. Hamfisted Harper Bullied as he has since becoming Prime Minister 06. Unfortuneately his TV adds didn't carry into this next session of parliment and the sweater came off. While he managed to get achieve his goals with this tactic with LPC and BQ support, apparently that has come to an end.

The current answer I have to all your questions is a clearly defined. I don't know
-
Won't matter. Wait for the attack adds and the spin doctoring. But it won't change anything. Harper called an election and 72% of the public didn't want one. People quickly forget. They don't want another election. I have already done straw polliing. Coalition or Election and people choose Coalition in huge numbers.

The Conservatives have the longest history of working with the BQ.

I believe that cry existed in the Paul Martin Government, and the Chretien government, when he had a Majority with a Minority of votes. The Reform Party used to scream the loudest, and before that the NDP. Even the PC felt disadvantaged with 25% of the vote and 2 seats These are our electoral rules. The CPC knew them before this occurred. Conservatives have used these same rules since Sir John A MacDonald and long before confederation. The system works. Mr Harper is about to be forever remembered in the history books.

Good lord, how stupid can he be?
-
The Tories received 144 seats and an opportunity to form a government. The Prime Minister appears to have put that opportunity in jeapardy. The Prime Minister is also on record with regards to asking the GG to consider the Opposition parties request to govern before going to the polls. Sorry bub, Mr Harper the tories may sit in opposition. They lost the government. (Unbelieveable)

Do you realize you are grasping at straws?
-
Erm, No!!! The fact that governments have power, means they can accomplish something without their hands tied behind their back. I could handle a cut to public funding of parties... but that's another poll.
-
Read'em and weep. This is our parlimentary system, Queen and All.....
-
Everyone I speak to.. Doesn't want an Election or Dion. But that is where it ends.
-
I hope you voted in this important poll
-
Yes, we are in a global war against terror. And we are in a major Global economic crises. Yes, somehow the BQ, LPC and NDP got that message... What happened to Harper?
-
The Canadian Public was consulted. We just had an election. The Prime Minister appears to have lost the confidence of the parliment and the GG cannot afford to send the government back to the polls, should another minority conservative government be formed that results in the same deadlock of defeat. Therefore, if the coalition proves that it can form a stable government for at least 2 years, the GG must consider this avenue before wasting money and time on a General Election during an economic meltdown. The some transition is most important. The problem is that Mr Harper had it his way, and probably could have carried on until 2009 against the turtling Dion. He could have continued to pass legislation much like he had from 06 to spring09. But he choose to have an unnecessary election. We don't need another unnecesary election, when there is a government ready, willing and ABLE, to pass legislation. A government that would have the confidence of the house. That is democracy.

Because you repeat yourself when distressed. -
You can stop a thread dead in its tracks... You know this?

Back to the coalition. Here is the transcript.... NDP Conference call There you go again I have to add this from Canada Press
-
How is the cushy government job? Was that you listening in on the NDP conference call? Is that how you got all this juicy government insider knowledge of the NDP
-
You do know there is an entire script and talking points available for you. You have to do better then this, the only words I can attribute to you are "Scum". The entire list of CPC talking points is rather long. We deserve better Here are some of the talking points to help you through this thread courtesy of your party

It just keeps building intrigue. How was this described earlier this weekend? "Hurricane on a spoon". It doesn't get any better. And I think those closer to the action, may not be feeling as glib as you or my while the ball goes up and downfield. I will give the CPC 10 yards for the conference call. 1st Down. Ah, crap...edited.... (If there turns out to be something illegal about listening into the call, or it was done by an MP, there may be a foul called.) Not yet though.
-
Well, I would say listening to a conference call is dirty. But publicly telling people that you did just that, is rather.... I dunno.... stupid? Here is how it looks. Yeah think? quick edit, the votes keep on coming. The anti coalition forces made huge gains today, closing up the gap the coalition forces made yesterday. While I think the news of today should inspire more anti coalition votes, so far, the coalition numbers have just started upwards again. This is no where near over. Still 8 days to go 53 votes, $1.95 per vote is not being paid to any political party or party hack on these forums

Parties talk shop all the time. Interesting to know that the CPC participated in the conference call. That is an act of desperation. Why should any of this surprise you?
