  1. Another point. When your "freedom fighters" kidnap Korean Red Cross workers and hold them for ransom where the only payment option is a troop and personal withdrawal......those are the type of people that you "support". Why don't you be our representative over in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas in Northern Pakistan....you can do some negotiation with the Taliban and their kind... I'll be watching for your video on LiveLeak.
  2. I find it interesting, people like you. Your profile is empty. No location, nothing really much about you. Hiding behind the internet.... 1) These same "freedom" fighters are the same people that go into markets with ordinary people and blow themselves up, killing children and women "to make a point". How nice. 2) The US bombs from above because it's their(our) competitive advantage. They do not target civilians on purpose, but as with war, sometimes the inevitable happens. 3)My brother joined the military because it was something that he enjoyed, he wanted to fight for his country, and wanted to kill some Taliban because they are a bunch of tossers. 3) If you stop reading at the Daily Kos, you will find that there is some progress being made over in Iraq and Afghanistan and that our soldiers actually do care about what they are doing and that it's not all about killing. 4) IED's are cowardice because they are left under some road somewhere for anyone to hit. Faceless killing. 5)They are NOT freedom fighters because they are fighting for misguided religious beliefs.
  3. My brother was in university before he decided to enroll and go to Afghanistan. He said (university) was boring and full of hippies that don't get off campus much. I agree. He didn't kill anyone over in Afghanistan, btw, but lost some good buddies to the cowardice of IED's. Hope you are enjoying your safe streets UShaditcoming.
  4. DrGreenThumb. You are the one that is living the the stone age with comments like that. I'm a conservative member and you don't even know me, so how the hell do you know what my ideas and value are?
  5. Yes! Me the die hard! I think they have done a decent job, but could have been better. 1) Atlantic Accord - LEAVE IT ALONE! Why the hell did they do what they did and then sign an agreement that was almost the same but worded differently. Left a bad taste in the mouths of Atlantic Canadians. A lot of people give Harper that squinty eyed look now. 2) Communication with the press - You gotta make that better. He comes off and rigid and cold. He needs to learn how to use the press, much the way the Liberals did. 3) Afghanistan - The money hole. NATO countries are going to be having debates soon on progress and future troop deployments. This things needs to have a action plan put in place and make it work no matter what. Boom or Bust is what I think might happen in the future....I'm hoping for boom with all my heart! Overall a good showing for a new party that didn't have much experience with Federal politics (Compared to the Liberals). I'll vote CPC again.
  6. There was an election in Saskatchewan?
  7. This was a third reading of the budget. A question for Mr. Casey...why vote against it now when you previously voted for it, twice?
  8. I don't read into the CPC pulling strings. It's a Health Canada and Alberta Heath issue. There is nothing concrete in the article that says it was strings being pulled form the top. It was concluded by them. Nothing of certainty. I can conclude that I was sick last night because I may have had a few to many...but that's not certain...there is no actual proof.
  9. This manual covers the good and the bad. Politics has many sides to it.
  10. Would that be your take if this was a Liberal minister? Yes, I try look at matters such as this objectively.
  11. After reading this article this is what I get out of it. Take a business man. He goes to buy something at a store for work. Let's say a blackberry. He has a purchase order from the company that covers the cost of the phone, but he decides to get a car charger for it. So he pays for that out of pocket and submits a receipt for $50 for the charger. Now in total he spend $550 for the phone and the charger, but since the phone was covered under the PO (because his company has allocated money for it) it wouldn't show up under his personal expense report and only the $50 for the charger would apply to him. It looks as though if he is on departmental work the cost for the flights would show up when the department submited their report at the end of their fiscal year. For his personal expenses he may not need to declare the cost of the flight as it would already be listed through the department. That is my take on it. Cam
  12. I've moved away from news papers. My start up page is google news. It's a mix of about 4000 news feeds. You can taylor your start up page to display the feeds you want. I usually have Canadian news first, then Aviation News, World, etc. going down the list. Aside from that. www.littlegreenfootballs.com, www.drudgereport.com, www.proudtobecanadian.com, are some of the "blogs" that I take a peak at throughout the day.
  13. I got a passport last year this time. I knew of the deadline. I had no problem. I hope these people enjoy waiting. I'll be sitting on an Italian beach in about three weeks. I'd have to chalk it up to civil servants. If the Passpord Office knew of the deadline, why didn't they initiate change well before the deadline. This seems to be an internal thing.
  14. Do you people KNOW how to read articles? Or is it an elective?
  15. I can't remember where I heard this. But it is in regards to what the Canadians can do with prisoners. There are limitations on what Canada can do with them (before this incident). If Canada found a Taliban they had to turn them into the Afghanistan authorities, because Afgh. is a sovereign country. It's a complicated/political problem.
  16. Speaking of a documentary on Global Warming, get "The Great Global Warming Swindle". This is a documentary that is light years ahead of Al Gore's production. In this documentary they use something that is absent in Gore's documentary, they are called "Scientists". I found that is laid out a better case than Gore's. I suggest you see it if you haven't already. http://tinyurl.com/3cac7w
  17. They say it may be cell phones.... http://news.independent.co.uk/environment/...icle2449968.ece
  18. What about my right not to have body ash snow falling on my property...
  19. The article (if you read it) points to a probability of pesticides and possibly stress.
  20. What are you babbling on about now? Didn't you start this thread to say that the event was faked? Good point.
  21. Well, the way I see it, Ottawa gave Danny and Rodney a choice. Keep 100% of your Off-shore profits or get a new equalization package. It can be a tough cookie to swallow if you are unsure of your offshore profits. But if you want ultimate security you can take the new equalization package. I don't think Ottawa broke the deal, they just gave them a choice. Have your cake OR the icing.
  22. Show me your credentials regarding your knowledge of the handling of troops in the custody of the US and the UK. Are you privy to inside information, do you work for either government on a level that allows you to see such treatment? Or are you just reiterating what you see in the news? Please tell me why you want to see someone like Ahmadinejad succeed. Iran is a backwards country. They execute people for being gay, rights of women are practically non-existent, etc. A young girl was just spared from being killed because she defended herself from being raped, not because someone was having a good day, because there was a lot of international pressure. How nice, a victim of rape and she is being executed. Why, because they were men she killed. I would love to see you move to Iran for a year and try and live it out. We would probably see you in six months.
  23. Iran....what a pain in the ass.
