  1. As we've said before: If Palestine laid down it's arms - there would be peace If Israel laid down it's arms - there would be genocide It's a no brainer that the solution to all of this is for the Palestinians to want peace, but they don't, they prefer to build weapons and commit genocide to building and maintaining a peaceful prosperous society.
  2. I thought those waves came through the bridges on my teeth - The Bilderbergers are simply a group of business men who meet to discuss - guess what - business. Nothing nefarious, but of course the conspiracy nuts love to turn anything that tends to be secretive into some major conspiracy... oooohhh booga booga
  3. The Liberals may have hit political pay dirt on this one, they propose tax cuts then can blame the government for screwing up the economy as this could put the country into a deficit position. It's just a minor detail that this will reduce the fed's revenues by hundreds of millions, which most Canadians will ignore. Therefore the Grits get all the political benefits of proposing a tax cut, without the minor detail/inconvenience of having to balance the budget. It is nice though that the Liberals are pushing a conservative agenda of lower taxes LOL but it does beg the question: should the opposition be able to set tax policies through private member's bills?
  4. We certainly need to encourage integration and respect for our culture and laws, and maybe a similar stand to that of Denmark ? http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2008/03/...tml#readfurther Friday, March 07, 2008 Why Should They Be Here? by Dymphna As we have reported previously, under the influence of the second Motoon crisis, Denmark has become remarkably united in its opposition to Islamic threats and extortion. Danish Social Democrats are now going on the offensive. They propose to pay Muslims — even those with Danish citizenship — to leave the country if they don’t like Denmark or the Danes. At Henrik’s suggestion, the text below was translated by TB from a transcript at Snaphanen of a Danish Public Radio broadcast. The speaker is Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the leader of the Danish Social Democrats: All these people living in Denmark with a foreign background, they should have a choice. They should choose whether they wish to be part of the Danish community, with all the norms and rules that we have in Danish society, or whether in fact they would prefer to be another place. And this is a message to all of those who support Hizb ut-Tahrir: If they have so much against our way of life and all the freedom we have in Denmark, then it might be a good idea to be in another place; but this is also an offer to those who never really fit in right, who maybe came here in the ’70s, and are actually not that happy about Denmark and would rather go home. Why not raise the repatriation check amount, and give them an offer so that one in reality should choose whether one wants to be in Denmark and be part of Danish society, or whether one in reality should be another place. cont...
  5. Well, here http://www.reuters.com/article/featu.....;/idUSL03124515 doesn't even pretend to disguise their propaganda piece on 'the peaceful peace loving Palestinians in Gaza.' They don't even bother to to use quotes on 'Inspired By God', Guess they too literally believe and agree with Hamas that is is their divine duty to murder Jews: From news article:
  6. Right, it was most likely someone from the Clinton camp... LOL The Liberals are pretty desperate to reclaim themselves and will put forward any allegations they can to to further their agenda. This is a typical character assassination scheme where they know that there is no scandal but if they say something often enough it will be believed ( you know, Lenin's useful idiots and all that) and public opinion of the Conservatives could go down, despite their having nothing to do with it.
  7. It wouldn't, and another good reason not to respect the opposition and their allegations. Don't forget they were also visited by two Liberals.
  8. Actually it is not. The Cadmans have not made any accusations against anyone, they have only stated that Chuck Cadman was upset by conversations with unnamed parties. , recounted from memories How the author of the biography chose to represent the memories is and was out of the Cadmans' hands, and in fact, dates have been changed in the book because there is no proof of such dealings. Some people including MPs are getting pretty hysterical over who said what, and are themselves making the public accusations of bribery and other harmful statements without verification of any facts. If Dion actually has any facts, then he won't be intimidated and will be quite eager to have the opportunity to present those facts in court, but rather than chance that, they are demanding a police investigation in the hope that the police can uncover some evidence of wrongdoing which they obviously do not have. The Liberals are going to eat their you know what...
  9. Exactly, the terrorists hide among civilians, they use women and children as shields, while dressing burkhas, they deliberately target Israeli civilians etc. etc.
  10. Nonsense, this is the Liberals trying to get some traction and only getting themselves in doo doo, the author says one thing, but the Liberals are adding to this as they they go along. They have now made libelous statements so the onus is on them to prove them. So far, there is nada - zip. Don't forget how Chretien operated, he would answer only once, maybe, and then would never utter another word about whatever crisis was facing him. The CPC should remember that. http://www.straight.com/article-134664/chu...taffer-says-the re-was-only-one-meeting-before-vote Chuck Cadman's former staffer says there was only one meeting before vote By Charlie Smith A former employee of deceased MP Chuck Cadman, Dan Wallace, has issued a statement saying there was only one meeting with two top Conservative Party of Canada officials before Cadman voted on the 2005 budget. Wallace stated that the May 17 date mentioned in an upcoming Cadman biography is wrong, and that the only meeting occurred on May 19 between Cadman and two close associates of the prime minister: Tom Flanagan and Doug Finley. This is also worth the read, http://www.nationalpost.com/opinion/story.html?id=350927 Tuesday, March 04, 2008 Not their style 'Harper's dispute with me was even more important than winning Cadman's vote three years later. But as I found out, offering bribes just isn't how the Harper Tories operate' Ezra Levant, National Post Published: Tuesday, March 04, 2008 -snip- Last week, former party chief of staff Tom Flanagan and campaign manager Doug Finley identified themselves as the two men in question, but they categorically denied the book's claim, and disputed other basic facts in the book, including the date of the meeting. -
  11. Dona Cadman's full statement The Star.Com Mar 03, 2008 01:44 PM March 3, 2008 Personal Statement by Dona Cadman I'm a little bit surprised at the level of reaction to the disclosures in Tom Zytaruk's book and I guess that's probably because it was put to rest in my mind, when I discussed the matter with Stephen Harper, 2 ½ years ago. At that time, I recall specifically asking him if he was aware of a million dollar insurance policy offer, that upset Chuck so much. He looked me straight in the eyes and told me he had no knowledge of an insurance policy offer. I knew he was telling me the truth; I could see it in his eyes. He said, yes he'd had some discussions with two individuals about asking Chuck to rejoin the party, but he'd told them they were wasting their time trying to convince Chuck. From that point forward.... I didn't regard it as a "Party" initiative, but rather; the overzealous indiscretion of a couple of individuals.... whose identity, Chuck never revealed to me. It all comes back to my conversation with the Prime Minister.... 2 ½ years ago. I want to be perfectly clear in that regard. Chuck liked, respected and trusted Stephen Harper. I like, respect and trust Stephen Harper. If I didn't believe in my heart, that he was telling me the truth.... I wouldn't be running as the Conservative Candidate for Surrey North. Dona Cadman
  12. My memory may be wrong, but wasn't Cadman visited by Paul Martin and Ujjal Dosanjh prior to the vote in an effort to gain his support. Given the Belinda Stronach tactics and probable bribery, it's more likely they made the offer.. and Mrs Cadman has it wrong...
  13. Harper's words do not indict him for what is being alleged, only that something was said, and first off, the Cadman family should not be doing interviews with the media until such time that the facts are known, unless Mrs. Cadman was in the room when the discussion took place, it is all heresay. And...until this is resolved Mrs. Cadman should step aside as a CPC candidate. Ezra Levant hits the nail on the head in suggesting that the Liberals will seize any opportunity to divert attention from their own disarray on most issues. The Levant assessment is also more than credible. Cadman had only a few more weeks of life left due to his cancer, while is family was protected by a large insurance policy ( MP's standard policies) as long as he was employed as an MP. If the House was prorogued through the vote of confidence failing, he would be out of work and his insurance cover would have been drastically reduced. Therefore, he was under a very strong financial inducement to keep the House going by voting for Martin and the Libs. Which he did. The only financial inducement on the table was more likely an assurance to Cadman that if he died soon after the House was prorogued, his family would not suffer the financial consequences of losing the large MPs insurance cover. If this was indeed the case, the conservatives were on the side of the angels rather than the other way round. Why is it that the Liberals are allowed to make direct accusations in the House regarding the Cadman affair [as well as other libelous innuendos daily], and if is allowed the Conservatives should respond with a direct accusation about the bribing of Stronach and the attempted bribing of Grewall for the same type of vote? Surely what is good for the goose is good for the gander? BTW, the Conservatives weren't in power at the time, so how they have possibly guaranteed the insurance coverage. and neither could they have purchased a new insurance policy for a man who was already on his deathbed. How is the opposition claiming that this 'deal' was to have worked, or are they saying that the Conservatives would simply pay his widow $1 million out of party coffers, and if so so, theen why are they talking bout an insurance policy? This is getting curiouser and curiouser.
  14. MPs do have life insurance policies and a pension plan. if Cadman had voted with the Opposition and the Government had fallen...he would have been a private Citizen..If he had survived long enough he would have been entitled to a Pension but his wife would have received nothing. If on the other hand he maintained the Government in power...He was a sitting M.P. h His wife would have been entitled, on his death, to the standard survivor's benefit. I suspect this is all it was. I guess it's not any co-incidence that the CPC is reaching majority terrority LOL
  15. They wouldn't I suspect that it is all blown out of proportion. It just doesn't make sense that they could offer such a policy, how would they pay for it, and what insurer would give it? MPs do have life insurance policies and a pension plan, therefore if Cadman had voted with the Opposition and the Government had fallen...he would have been a private Citizen. If he had survived long enough he would have been entitled to a Pension but his wife would have received nothing. If on the other hand he maintained the Government in power and was a sitting M.P. his wife would have been entitled, on his death, to the standard survivor's benefit. I suspect this is all it was.
  16. So what about the CTV interview they did with Chuck Cadman right after the confidence vote where he says in it that the only "incentive" offered was an uncontested nomination in his riding if he voted with, and became a Conservative again....... This is Cadman on record, so this is obviously a 3rd party allegation...
  17. CTV Newsworld had a live interview on between Mike Duffy and Cadman two days before the vote was to take place. Cadman told Duffy that he wasn't being influenced by the Conservatives to vote against the budget. They of course then continued on with their story even though it was just proven wrong. Which insurance company would sell a dying man a million dollar life insurance policy and it sure doesn't seem to effect Cadman's wife as she continues to be a Conservative
  18. We don't know if any of this is true, we don't know if Donna Cadman is telling the truth or not. Until names are named and this is confirmed or proven untrue, we know nothing. So far all we have is one person (the author ) making unproven allegations and drive by smears.
  19. They believe it because they want to, the CPC is doing far better than they ever imagined, and guess what - no hidden agendas and no - 'scary scary' I will reserve judgement until I see proof or confirmation from gov't that this actually happened.
  20. Whoda thunk it huh David Suziki take that back, and Al Gore LOL Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling http://www.dailytech.com/Temperature+Monit...rticle10866.htm Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile -- the list goes on and on.
  21. Rick Mercer Liberal Song you have to watch this LOL
  22. I was just going to post about that...William F. Buckley Jr. was a brilliant gentleman, his arguments where always made with intellectual sharpness. How many writers are there of his calibre.
  23. A compromise budget, nothing spectacular but something necessary when we have a minority gov't. I too wish they would de-complicate the tax system.
  24. El toro poo poo, so anyone who disagrees with you is 'anti-Canadian' sure LOL I'd welcome UN troops if they were helping out in an emergency, I wouldn't care who was rescuing me. Just more paranoia and hyperbole
