Pot = black quit with the attacks and stick to intelligent discussion, I didn't say I didn't trust them, I wanted info. that's what I got. They are part of your party, they seem to think they represent something, they call themselves NDP... so quit with the personal attacks.

This quote is interesting (from Kinsella) -
That is what they told me, I phoned specifically to ask. So if you got rid of it, please post the constitution so we can see, according to the other links they didn't repudiate previous manifestos. What's the secret ?
-
Wrong, they told me 20% and are running candidates in this election. Someone knows nothing about anything but can only make personal insults, thereby indicating that they are uninformed. So where is the constitution - opaque or transparent - so far - opaque
-
Okay, for the NDP supporters out there what is the NDP constitution and why is it not on their website. It's time that the media did it's due diligence and reported on this... so... two links here NDPs missing constitution what voters aren't supposed to know about All to be found is this from the hard left socialist wing... nationalization and socialization http://www.ndpsocialists.ca/ have the NDP repudiated the Regina Manifesto or the Winnipeg Declaration - or what ?

or lack thereof

This is the socialist caucus which represents about 20% I'm told, but if you read the NDP website they don't publish their constituon - I think that's a good thread. http://www.ndpsocialists.ca/ -

Nice spin... actually Ms. Chow was on the committees or whatever at that time and would have known about the raids... http://www.torontosun.com/2011/04/29/layton-advocated-ban-on-lap-dancing and for those who care http://twitter.com/#!/jonkay/status/64427654065033216 -

Actually, I agree, it's not going to change the vote, and (I'm going to say) most people don't know much about this stuff or get into discussions like this. I was in the campaign office a while ago (to give a little donation and passed out some information about sending an email to TV providers about carrying SunTV - not one of about 5 people in there had ever heard of it. It's a small town mind you.. had the relatives over for Easter dinner, some are from Toronto, not one out of 8 of them had heard of it either... However, I think this issue also speaks to the lack of due diligence on the part of our media and not give Layton et al a free ride anymore. -

Maybe not, but people invariable bring up old speeches of Harper from 15 years ago - they think they are relevant. we want the naked truth here -

You do know that according to newscasts, it was 9:30 at night, in a place that had been raided before, a councillor would know that, wouldn't he ? Also, since when do massages take place on a bed, aren't they usually on a table ? . -

It was in one of the articles, but it was talked about on the news broadcast, they showed the copies of the cops notes, not all of it is being reported by the media, in fact I heard a news report on the radio this morning that simply said, he was caught in a seedy establishment (or something like that) no mention of the rest of the story. Also he was let go with being charged because of who he was. The larger issue is the hypocrisy. He was a crusading city councillor at a time when bawdy houses run by Asian gangs were being raided and shut down he would have known what they were. He wanted lap dancing banned and crusaded for women's rights - that's the issue, does it show good character and judgment - no, but he's not the first politician to be caught with his pants down. It does speak to his seemingly double standards. -

Do you really think that if this were Stephen Harper there would not be a full blown smear campaign - really get a grip. The Star would be salivating over it along with posters - and that's part of it too. -

They were not private suspicions, they have copies of the police notes, they showed them last night on the news. They also reported that the woman was naked, with a wet tissue in her hand, it is substantiated with evidence. And again, Jack was a councillor who would have known about the raids on which known bawdy houses. The house even had the red and green cameras to indicate safe or not safe for sex. Again, Jack was a crusading councillor who wanted to ban lap dancing, he was an advocate for women's rights, so it does show lack of character and double standards on his part. It's not that he actually had his pants down in a bawdy house, he was a crusading councillor - that certainly points to lack of ethics. -

Exactly,it does speak to character, especially since he was a crusading councillor for women's rights etc. that's the larger story, the hypocrisy. Not only of him, but of the media and those who think it's only okay to hyperventilate over sex stories if it's a conservative. We all know what would be the headlines if this at been Harper, or another MP... Maybe the larger story is that he was given a break by the cops because he was a politician, would anyone else have gotten off so lightly - don't think so. The media's smear campaign with the allegations of the'busty hooker' thing ruined the careers of two people, both of whom have been cleared - but that's okay - really... -

Really, listening to the news and reading some media they are deliberately leaving out the details about the naked woman and buck naked Jack, who was a councillor at the time they were raiding bawdy houses. Not only would he have known what the house was, he was supposed to be working for women's rights, yadda yadda... The bigger story here is how the rest of the media (and people) are playing down as a smear campaign, yet we all know, had this been Harper or another conservative politician it would be all over the front pages, for days - maybe months. Where was the outrage and cries of a smear campaign when a paper reported on 'busty hookers' at a Jaffer event, with no proof. Get a grip guys, you know if this had been a conservative it would be big news. LOL -

Right on - although many conservatives might support private health care alongside our current system, it doesn't mean that our health is 'Americanized'. Actually it would be more on the line of Australia or France. What I find amusing and hypocritical is how these people complain about the U.S. and Americanization yet think it's okay for an American organization to interfere in Canadian election. Actually, after hearing that Jack Layton, is going to hire thousands of doctors and nurses and- yup - increase my pension payments, I'm almost euphoric, nice to know Jack can do that, maybe he'll get my vote. LOL I agree about this, SunTV seems to be doing well, but it sure doesn't have the bias people thought it would have, they are going out of their way to be unbiased. Agree about Fox, I don't find it as bad as the left thinks it is. -

Well, I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend, that there are no signs of a revolt, just an opposition whisper campaign. -
Conservatives would create Office of Religious Freedom

Wow, and I thought I'd read everything. How on earth can you extrapolate that from an office set up to help protect minorities and promote freedom of religion/ Not that I agree with such an office I don't, but the wild eyed hyperbole is of course, expected LOL
