  1. Ahh of course, he'll have the know how to do that. However, herein lies the problem, even if releasing the undoctored recordings clears Ford, there are those who will postulate that they were doctored and never believe them. He can't win for losing for those who are hell bent on believing the worst, no matter what.
  2. Really - maybe anything the CBC or the Star says is a lie... I'd like to know the sources too, including the CBC's, but again I'll reserve judgement until I hear the recordings, and, the whole unedited tape of the CBC ambush. The CBC really needs to produce both recordings if it wants to preserve it's own integrity - the CBC started this one, they need to finish it. It seems this 'comedienne' hasn't been on the show for a long time so was brought back just for this, methinks they should've left her out to pasture.
  3. I'm not from Toronto so don't care one way or another, but until we hear the tapes, again, everything is supposition and innuendo. Ford's daughter heard screaming on 911 tapes cont...
  4. From what I heard today, the tapes can only be released through a court of law... I'll believe the CBC when I hear the actual recording, as should anyone else, what exactly are their sources - gossip? Who would edit the recordings (tapes aren't used anymore) and how would Ford have the technology and know how to edit them. BTW, which recording was this profanity supposedly used on - the 2nd call he made from home, or the the (3rd) call made by 911 to him while he was on the road.
  5. So you would prefer unverified CBC accounts of office gossip, go for it. The Sun Media is as credible as any other source, just because you don't agree doesn't make it incorrect or wrong. If you have proof that Ford actually said those things please provide it, cos so far, the 911 recording has not been released. Ford would have to know that 911 calls are recorded so how likely is it that someone in his position would say what the CBC reported he said. Maybe waiting for actual facts before passing judgement would be adviseable.
  6. The police believe the death threats, and unless anyone has any actual evidence to the contrary the CBC published unverified gossip, they (as of of now) do not have the actual recording. http://www.ottawasun.com/2011/10/27/ford-death-threat-letter-targets-wife-child
  7. Nope, I heard it twice on radio interviews today, (I didn't say it was if someone comes near him with a camera - you just made that one up) He has had death threats to him and his family, that is the advice given by the police, and by all accounts today, the CBC report about the 2nd phone calls is also made up. He has apologized for using the F word once, but it was not in the context as reported by the CBC. Two apologies needed from the CBC, and a retraction.
  8. Ford called 911 because that's what the police have advised him to do because of death threat to himself and his family. He was justifiably frustrated at not being able to get to his 9:30 meeting (it's an hour drive for him)so I don't blame him. We don't know if it was dark or low light, we are only shown the last couple of minutes and besides, they do have lense filters for poor light these days. The CBC owes Ford 2 apologies, one for accosting him in his own driveway then lying about his 2nd phone call. The CBC left any semblance of integrity and good journalism behind when they chose to publish an unverified piece of 911 departmental gossip.
  9. or better still - decked her a good one... but then Ford would've been the bad guy.. He didn't know who she was so if some screaming banshee threatened me with a sword I would've retreated to call the cops... hope they charge her - she (CBC) crossed the line. BTW, I don't know who she is and wouldn't know her from Adam.
  10. That's one of the worst things about this, they have no regrets and would do it again.
  11. That is your opinion only http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/ndp-sought-air-canada-upgrades-for-laytons-funeral/article2203285/ However, a source familiar with the funeral arrangements says the family members were booked in economy and that an NDP official contacted the airline concierge to request the upgrades. Air Canada granted the request for the upgrades and “they didn’t say no,” said the source, who looked into the matter after the NDP’s denial.
  12. In that case I stand corrected, however, anytime I've listened to him he comes across as very left wing... having said that, your ignorant rude comments have no place in a debate.
  13. Try and get yours right mmkay
  14. Are you ignoring the similarities !
  15. The 99% is a myth, but if the protesters really do believe they represent 99% of our population, why weren't there more of them at the protests. I'm one of the supposed 99% but I wouldn't support what appeared to be nothing fringe lunatics at the Toronto 'protests'. Even hard left winger John Moore (of CFRB) said he didn't want to crap on their parade, but.... not to mention Canada is not equivalent to the U.S. at all, and why are they not protesting in Ottawa or in the U.S. - Washington. Only the MPs can make legislative changes, not bankers or brokers. I'd still like to see something coherent from any of them as to what exactly they expect to happen, and if no gov't moves to do anything (what exactly), then what - violence or will they go home as it gets colder.
  16. So the NDP should not be held up to the same scrutiny as the CPC, or held accountable under Elections Canada rules. Methinks parties in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
  17. Is he actually asking for more money, not sure, I think they are just asking for a care facility in the Kensington area and don't like that they have a long wait list. I doubt that he'd be in that predicament if they were more flexible but they want the Kensington area which is limiting their choices. They are paying $10,000 a month now - that's a lot, but he does have a decent pension.
  18. You are right, I lied about nothing nor made any 'false equivalents', that is simply your opinion, which is not necessarily fact. In the meantime, carry on with whatever inferences and insults if it makes you happy LOL
  19. You are welcome, as we now know for sure that insults are the ammunition of the uninformed.
  20. I certainly wouldn't fly anywhere to protest, I would write my MPP and MP to voice an objection. I might go out and protest if it was in my backyard.
  21. I'd say you are equally unfunny, and obviously don't read MLW rules, we aren't talking about Tony Clements either, so quit with the personal attacks. Insults are the ammunition of the uninformed.
  22. I have read that Insite staff actually like the idea of providing addicts with pharmaceutical grade drugs, courtesy of us (tax payers) perhaps methadone would be better. However, provincial health care funds are scarce so I would object to our health care funding supporting illegal drugs by facilitating destructive illegal behaviour. and I bet many of the more incorrigible addicts who use Insite aren't interested in quitting.
  23. Insite is meant as harm reduction, but it enables drug addicts and illegal activities, detox facilities would be a better option IMO.
  24. As much as I support the Monarchy as part of our heritage and wouldn't like to see it go, I couldn't accept Charles. Hopefully he will step aside for William when the time comes.
