  1. Saw this on Twitter, I think he's right.  Yes leaders have to also practice social distancing etc. but all other leaders are out and about - leading...   not Trudeau.   Many people are wondering if there is something else going on.

I’m not a psychologist, but majored in psychology, Trudeau’s current behaviour is abnormal, hiding in the cottage and making a daily appearance before the cameras, this is not prime ministerial behaviour, the country is crying for leadership, the premiers are filling in the void

  2. From what I've seen on twitter, this is true, such double standards.
  3. So, did all Trudeau liberals swear allegiance to Communist China or what,.

  4. I'm pretty sure they will, and the media will make Trudeau out to be the next Messiah. I've seen elsewhere people blaming Ford for the Ontario shortage. Trudeau messed up in the beginning and still is on closing borders and flights from hot spots, due to political correctness. I think we all are willing to give a lot of leeway for any gov't in this situation, however, Trudeau's attempted back door audacious power grab (by any standards) which the opposition managed to stop was unforgivable IMO. I guess Trudeau believes in not letting a good crisis go to waste. No one should forget that or forgive it. His daily forays outside for a controlled press conference is interesting as he seems to be the only leader in hiding; his isolation period is long over and his wife is at Harrington Lake so what is the real reason for him hiding. The only real reason I can think of is that the party has him on a leash with a written script to read from, as he can't be allowed to go off script. If this goes on for months rather than weeks it will be a different country and way of life, we may be into a depression with deep unemployment so how that is handled will be telling.
  5. I wouldn't trust the WHO either, not at all.
  6. Trudeau suggested that Canada was not on the same trajectory as the US because it had acted sooner. But the fact of the matter is – on several issues, Canada trailed behind the US by several days or even weeks. https://edmontonjournal.com/news/national/the-road-to-canadas-covid-19-outbreak-timeline-of-federal-government-failure-at-border-to-slow-the-virus/ When asked if he now regrets not tightening travel screening earlier in the pandemic: Trudeau replied: “I think there is going to be lots of analysis after the fact about what happened when, what could have happened a few days earlier, what only needed to happen a few days later" So – no regrets even knowing that Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore started restricting travel and screening inbound passengers in early January as they cared more about their citizens than getting a UN seat. Don't you love the CBC's euphemism for ignores and refuses to answer questions: "in his responses to reporters at these morning briefings, he still sometimes floats above the questions asked" https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-pandemic-covid-coronavirus-media-1.5516383
  7. Nah, still happening, double shooting in Agincourt earlier this month.

Make your own mask, plenty of videos on YouTube and Facebook. Or, just put a scarf over your mouth and nose when you go shopping, take it off and throw out in the washer for your next outing.  If there are any masks around, they should be going to medical people, not the rest of us.

I was thinking of ordering from the 'my pillow' guy and asking him to throw in a couple of masks  LOL   So far we are making do with delivery, just had my meds delivered.

  8. I wonder if the daily shootings and killings in Toronto have stopped or just not reported. I haven't turned on the news today, can't listen to anymore of it.
  9. When the time comes to look back at what Canada did wrong in its response to this pandemic, maybe sending 16 tons of PPE to China in February will rank right up there.
  10. I don't trust the N.Y. Times anymore, they sure manipulate the headlines and news.
  11. I hope you are right. Actually he was a snowbird, along with others who had stopped in the Walmart parking lot on their way home.
  12. Pretty sure Trump didn't tell the two who died,  to drink fish tank cleaner.  there's no cure for stupid.

True, they were stupid to listen to Trump, but apparently he's the reason they thought it would work.

Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure,” the woman told NBC.

He says the drug will work, not fish tank cleaner.

  13. There's an article today in our local paper about a guy admitting he has not abided by quarantine, know some snowbirds who haven't immediately isolated, they did their shopping first. don't kid yourself people are selfish idiots. people where out in the parks and down at the Toronto beaches, so yeah...
  14. Many are not complying, if you think that the thousands who have gotten off planes in the last few weeks self quarantined I'll bet they haven't. Martial law is coming in the proposed legislation which I think is needed to some extent to keep people safe as they are not complying, however, the proposal is more than that. All we need are powers to keep people in quarantine and immediately close down the airport except for essential goods. https://globalnews.ca/news/6720551/justin-trudeau-coronavirus-support-bill/ The Canadian Constitution enshrines taxation as a power of the parliamentary branch. Because of that, granting those powers to the federal cabinet alone is highly unusual – even the Emergency Powers Act does not do so.
  15. He is over reaching, and since when has giving sweeping, unchecked power to a government during a time of crisis has never ended poorly has it? Meanwhile, he wants these powers as he demands we all stay home (and rightly so) but still he's allowing people to enter the country from highly inflected areas by the planeload, and they are not being screened or forced into quarantine. Apart from this, he’s a moron. We here in Canada would not have such a shortage of supplies if Trudeau had not shipped tons of our badly needed medical supplies to China in February. https://globalnews.ca/news/6720551/justin-trudeau-coronavirus-support-bill/ The Canadian Constitution enshrines taxation as a power of the parliamentary branch. Because of that, granting those powers to the federal cabinet alone is highly unusual – even the Emergency Powers Act does not do so.
  16. Global News has seen a copy of the legislation that the Liberals will introduce tomorrow giving sweeping new powers to to tax and spend without Parliamentary approval until 2021. The Emergencies Act exists so governments can act swiftly to counter an emergency. Instead of enacting it, Trudeau and his minority government want to be given the ability to spend without Parliamentary approval. It is an outrageous over reach and exploits the crisis. Especially considering Trudeau’s irresponsibility with our money up to now.
  17. Not if it's satire as I posted
  18. I think the Babylon Bee nailed it (satire) https://babylonbee.com/news/dems-worried-stimulus-package-would-stimulate-economy WASHINGTON, D.C.—Amid political bickering over a potential economic relief package, Democrats warned Americans that the stimulus bill would stimulate the economy. "This stimulus bill might stimulate the economy -- which would hurt our chances to stop the bad orange man," said Senator Chuck Schumer. "We can't overstate how much damage this would do to our 2020 campaign. The last thing we need is a strong economy going into November."
  19. I'll bet you 4 rolls of toilet paper Trudeau declares a State of Emergency on Tuesday.
  20. Trudeau is trying now, but he has a lot to answer for in not closing the border a lot earlier as other countries did. Dr. Tam told us that we were racist and xenophobic for wanting a travel ban... she has a lot to answer for also. Trump announced a travel ban from China 40 whole days before a pandemic was declared, he got that one right.
  21. Wikki is editing that out now :)-
  22. Likely the real reason Trudeau didn't close the US border is because it still allows people from the U.S. to illegally to cross into Canada at places like Roxham Rd. If he'd said the border is completely closed, Americans including potential illegals would assume that included them illegal entry point or not. But that's not the real issue here. The problem is that he's still allowing illegal immigrants into Canada during a deadly pandemic which is unconscionable especially when his and the provincial gov'ts have told Canadian's to self quarantine, keep social distance and do everything they can to stop the spread of the disease including curbing travel for anything that isn't absolutely necessary. So it's quite apparent he doesn't really give a shit about the rest of us or he wouldn't have this double standard for entry to Canada would he?
  23. 1. the Trudeau Regime as a virus 2. Immigration, as in how much --- 3. Health Care, or lack thereof 4. The upcoming recession 5. Official Multiculturalism #2 Crazy. As the virus rages, the Trudeau regime announces the highest immigration intake in history. Plus 400,000 foreign students, 250,000 economic workers 60,000 illegals and who knows how many elderly sponsored relatives. In in light of the current situation there should be a moratorium on immigration, and Roxham Rd. should be closed. Maybe the Mohawks will blockade it, see how Trudeau handles that. https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2020/03/12/canada-to-welcome-1-million-immigrants-over-three-years-despite-fears-of-recession.htmlhttps://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2020/03/12/canada-to-welcome-1-million-immigrants-over-three-years-despite-fears-of-recession.html #2 speaks to #3 Our health care is strained allready even under normal circumstances, yet not only are they increasing immigration but continuing to allow Roxham Rd. to remain open while borders are supposed to be closed, where the illegals are given free room and board and gold plated health care. #5 Creates tribalism, each tribe with their own hearth so should not be cultivated and promoted by the gov't.
  24. Trump got a good one in when asked about his use of the phrase “Chinese Virus”: REPORTER: “Critics say that using that phrase creates a stigma.” TRUMP: “No, I don’t think so. I think saying that our military gave it to them creates a stigma.”
