  1. Ontario is closing all public schools for two weeks following March break amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Premier Doug Ford announced Thursday. It came as the province announced 17 new confirmed cases - its biggest surge to date - bringing the total to 59. The decision to close schools from March 14 to April 5 is based on advice from Ontario's chief medical officer of health, Ford said in a joint statement with Health Minister Christine Elliott and Education Minister Stephen Lecce.
  2. Canadians won’t be able to return to life as they knew it before the novel coronavirus pandemic until a vaccine is available, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday. “Normality as it was before will not come back full-on until we get a vaccine for this… That will be a very long way off,” the prime minister said during his daily news conference on Canada’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
  3. As Canada confronts the worsening COVID-19 outbreak, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has hinted his government might declare a federal emergency, giving his cabinet extra powers to battle the pandemic. “It is a major tool and I can tell you that we already have a lot of tools that allow us to do what we need to do,” said Trudeau, at his Thursday news conference outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa. “If there are other steps that need to be accomplished and can only be accomplished through invoking the Emergencies Act then we will do so.” Some experts have been urging the government to invoke the Emergencies Act, while others have shuddered at the idea, which would be an extraordinary step in the government’s response to the crisis. “We do recognize that the Emergencies Act is an extreme law with certain implications that would also require us to bring back the House of Commons to pass these measures,” said Trudeau.
  4. Premier Doug Ford has declared a provincial state of emergency in response to a worsening COVID-19 outbreak and will now order the closure of restaurants and bars not providing takeout service along with a host of other venues where crowds are known to gather. Ford made the announcement at a hastily-called news conference at Queen’s Park on Tuesday morning, noting that the province is facing an “unprecedented time in its history” and must “act decisively” and “take any and all actions necessary as COVID-19 continues to spread.” He says that under the order the government will prohibit all organized public events of more than 50 people until March 31, including services in places of worship. He said that the order will also force the closure of all facilities providing indoor recreational programs, all public libraries and private schools, all licenced childcare centres, all bars and restaurants that don’t provide takeout services and all theatres, cinemas and concert venues.
  5. I had the privilege of interviewing MP Mark Holland on issues facing Canada from Clean drinking water in Indengoues reserves, Coronavirus outbreak, Affordable housing, and Wexit Canada. You can watch it on youtube Monday 2:15 p.m EST BUT What do you think are the top 5 issues in Canada? Follow me on IG @t.w.t_podcast_
  6. Can you ever imagine a country like Canada not having clean drinking water? In the 1970s the Canadain government promised to bring clean drinking water to all of Canada. Now in 2020 100% of cities of clean drinking water and 99% of rural areas have clean drinking water. the 1% which is missing is the Indigenous reserves. People living on the reserves don't have access to clean drinking water. They are poorly funded. Now the question of what would the Canadian government do if Toronto had no cleaning drinking water? BTW if you guys want to know more about me and my youtube channel check it out. I interview high profile politicians including Former PMs and MPs and Senators.
  7. Im currently a grade 12 student who started an Initiative to Inform Youth about Politics and World Issues. I started this podcast in the summer of 2019 after seeing the lack of attention being given to the Canadain election of 2019. My older friends were not voting, and if they were voting, they voted without the proper knowledge. That led me to create this podcast where I try to inform the youth about world issues and politics, and hopefully encourage them to vote. CHECK IT OUT HERE & TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK
  8. We the people of Canada DEMAND change in Government. We the people of Canada demand that the government that belongs to us and to whom we lend our democratic power to lead this country and to sit in opposition, change the laws that govern the behaviour of those politicians that take the oath of office. We are tired of the way that parties spend our hard-earned tax dollars on things that do not benefit this country. We are tired of the lies by all parties and we are tired of the personal agendas that you all bring into the house of commons instead of working toward the common goal of bettering this great nation. We are tired of the ethics violations, the misappropriation of money that does not belong to you and the way you spend on other countries while here in Canada our own go without. We are tired of the way Canadians are left out in the cold as soon as you take office and the opposition all of a sudden becomes sanctimonious in the way they say they want to save us. We are tired of the Pandering politicians on all sides. We are tired of the insider trading. We are tired of the wealthy being the ones that you listen to and not us average Canadians because in fact most of you have never worked a solid day in your life. We are Tired of the way that the people we elect as our Members of Parliament stop speaking for us the moment they are told to tow the party line. We are tired of the way the country gets ignored because as soon as you take power and the house sits you then worry about the next election rather than worrying about us the people. We demand change and we have some changes we want: 1. We the people demand, not ask, that recall be brought into law. 2. We the people demand that restricted parliamentary privilege be restricted to times that it is a benefit to the country not the politicians. 3. We demand that under conditions that regular Canadians would lose their jobs that the same apply to politicians in the same fast manor. 4. We demand that if fired there is an end of your pension no if ands or buts. 5. We demand that any financial penalties that politicians receive be proportional to the wages they earn so as to sting them as we the citizens get stung. 6.We the people demand that when a politician ends his term that he not use political influence to enrich himself or family, if they do they are to be prosecuted. 7. We demand that all monies earned by the writing of books or speaking engagements by any serving politician or politician that has served (because they were only in that position to serve the country) should be paid to charity. 8. We demand that any politician caught deliberately lying to the citizens of this country be removed from office immediately. 9. We demand that any politician working against the people of this country be removed from office and if deemed serious enough be charged in a court of law. These demands are put before you by citizens of all political parties, All genders and all races. We the citizens of Canada have had enough of governments dividing the peoples and spending recklessly so as to force our taxes to a level that makes it hard to support our families.

  10. Earlier this year Justin Trudeau (Liberals) Changed thee Citizenship Guide, and removed the 'Barbaric' Practices Warning, including references to Female Genital Mutilation and Honor Killings. July, 2017 - Border officers reported that Female genital mutilation practitioners are travelling to Canada. Study found that 80 per cent of Bohra women surveyed have undergone FGM and two of the study’s 18 Canadian participants said it happened within Canada’s borders. Documents confirmed that Canadian girls are being taken abroad to undergo female genital mutilation, "Canada has done little to understand the scope of the problem and is lagging far behind other developed countries in their efforts to prevent “vacation cutting,” experts say." If the Prime Minister of Canada was truly a feminist he would speak out against this barbaric act as it is condemned by the United Nations. I don't believe The Prime Minister of Canada is a feminist since he has "quietly" removed items referring to the practice and has not cited the criminal code violations that it is cover in (S.267 & 268). 11. Justin Trudeau Owes An Apologize to Conservative By exegesisme http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-defends-nannies-1.3358162 I agree Justin Trudeau needs the tax dollars as child care benefit for his children, but disagree his attacks on the universal child care benefit of conservative, and also disagree his answer is enough for the question from the conservative MP Karen. For justifying the current needs of his family and his behavior to meet the needs, he needs also to make an apologize to conservative for his wrong attacks on the issue of universal child care benefit in the last federal campaign.
  12. What Do You Hope of A Youth Service Program of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau? By Exegesisme In the mandate letter, a Youth Service Program is mentioned, under the goal: Increase the number of good quality, permanent jobs for younger workers. I am interested in the Youth Service Program. I wonder how this program means for Canadian youth, and what do Canadian youth and general Canadian hope of this program. So, my questions are: What Do You Hope of A Youth Service Program of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau? Should the program be more than "Increase the number of good quality, permanent jobs for younger workers"? If should, what do you hope to add into it?
  13. One of Trudeau's campaign co-chairs has stepped down after advising TransCanada how to lobby the next government, including advice on lobbying a potential Liberal minority. He's not a registered lobbyist and the emails at this point seem to be all legal, but this is the kind of news that could derail the Liberals just before election day. http://globalnews.ca/news/2277153/trudeau-adviser-steps-down-after-giving-pipeline-company-lobbying-advice/?hootPostID=a623af75b6a4d1a0be52d0a5ad633747
  14. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/19/canadas-liberal-leader-backs-muslim-face-coverings-opposes-calling-honor-killings-barbaric/ Quick review: 1. He was uncomfortable describing (Islamic/ist) practices such as child marriage, child rape, polygamy, honor killings, and stonings as "barbaric". 2. His first instinct, within hours of the Boston Marathon bombing by the Islamic/ist terrorist Tsarnaev Brothers, was to make sure to walk on eggshells around Islam/Muslims and seek the "roots causes" (presumably economic isolation, social marginalization, and insufficient funding for "safe injection sites"). 3. He regularly describes Harper and Conservatives as bigoted and "Islamophobic". 4. He pushes the neo-Marxist narrative of Muslims-As-Victims, which works out well for his electoral fortunes with Muslim voters because so many Muslims perceive politics through a similar lens of grievance. 5. He joked about attending a Wahhabi mosque. 6. He actually attended a Wahhabi mosque to pander. 7. That mosque was associated with Saudi-funded radicalism, and belonged to an Islamic umbrella group which subsequently lost its charitable status due questionable ties with extremism/terrorism. 8. He draws weird parallels between the Jewish experience in the 30s and 40s and the Muslim experience today (grievance narrative). 9. He fits in perfectly after Dion and Ignatieff.
