Sorry I meant to say 'in my opinion' before I mentioned that.

I disagree. He was clearly an undesireable. He should not have been granted enterance into Canada in the first place. Him and all the other of hundreds of people that landed from the airport that day.. But that's another topic.

Skyrocketing complaints against RCMP
mikedavid00 replied to jennie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Because she's probably a 'misfit' in society. Of course, her voice is louder than mine as far as the CBC is concerned. -
Really? And where does your 'tax contribution' come from? Is it from Full time private sector work?
-
And that is what is creating 99% of our problems both here and in the US.

Canada's Next Great Prime Minister
mikedavid00 replied to Julienne's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why are my tax dollars paying for all these games? -
The gov't has little to do with the world economy. (in context). Stop thinking the gov't is our Daddy that can control the world.
-
The fast growth regions are also visibly minority, Liberal voting voters. That statement is factual. If you want more seats in fast growth areas, they are just going to be Liberal seats. And no, Calgary is not fast growth as pointed out by stats can last month. Not even close to Brampton and other immigrant hot beds.
-
I agree that they are both evils. Obvsiouly, I am not for any more seats in to Ontario and BC. In 20 years you would slowely start to see the Parliment become a place where racism (the true term) is practiced on a daily basis and I prefer not to move in that direction with my country. I don't want to slip into second world status becuase religion and culture takes over our house of commons.

That's right. But what if people are NOT contributing that money? Why should they be allowed to have a say in how the money is spent? Got ya there didn't I?
-
It's not the money, it's the fact that the gov't feels it can give money to anyone they want. How do you think the vote would turn out if only tax payers were voting? That's right. Since the money comes from us, we should be the only one saying on how its spent.
-
No. We just shouldn't let anyone in the country unless they are here on a work permit and the employer proved they could not hire a Canadian... ya know, kind of like how every other country in the world operates their immigration policies.
-
As a tax payer that's not my problem. That's a person choice on someone else and should involve me in no way. What's next, chess? Foosball? Sewing? and every other activity? If they want sponsorship, companies can sponsor them. The money doesn't fall out of the air. I'm always on the hook for this stuff and it has to stop.

Yes. it's another gov't funded agency with our tax dollars funding more white colar cushy union jobs. It does nothing for the kids, it's not proven to work. It actually doesn't work. It's just a gov't make work project. The gov't has gone way too far.
-
You said that a gov't program tax boondongle that created 30 second commercials did 'wonders' for our kids. Are you saying that kids during that time lost weight and became less obese? Kids are obese becuase of the high sugar processed foods that hit the market in the 80's. That has been proven factually over and over. Guyser those gov't programs don't work. They put our money in a few peoples pockets while we fill a gov't building with employees that make $60k a year. That's all they do. Those who work there then turn around and vote whoever will keep their funding going. The promises get made before closed doors. The threats to stop funding always comes before the election. This is the kind of Pakistani style corrupt system we live in. Lord we NEED TO GET non tax payers off the voting system. Only those who pay should be able to vote.

Quebec anglo students denounce discrimination
mikedavid00 replied to Leafless's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I have to question the Journalism with this kind of blatant editorializing: "Jonathan Tremblay, (right) and Michael Dery (left) are holding copies of their association's newspaper marked with xenophobic comments such as "In Quebec we speak French"." The above is editorializing and opinion, not an unbiased news story. The statement is also false. That is not a Xenephobic statement. -
Lol.. Are you trying to say that the gov't does not give our tax dollars to this organization?? Have you ever seen the building in Ottawa?
-
I work for a private company, get half of my money taken away, and it goes into the pockets of people here on this very forum. So yes, I have the right to talk about the system because I own it. Not everyone on this forum can say the same thing. I would even wager the a majority could not say the same. There's a new definition of democracy, it's called paying taxes when working at a private company. That's my with my hand up. I fund everything that goes on.
-
No it's basically gov't money. Or.. our money.

Proof? Thought not.

NDP Obstructing New Daycares...
mikedavid00 replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's how gov't funds should be spent. It should be handouts to parents to do as they wish only if they need the benefit. The private sector will be run 3x lower cost, better service, more accountable, and more efficient than the public daycares. Or we can go the other way and have CUPE civil servants and $60,000/y daycare worker, have 'ethnic daycares' (which is what the current system is talking about doing) and another gov't building in Ottawa goiong up to promise jobs to visible minoroties where everyone is making +$60,000 a year while the system is simply unaccountable with oodles of corruption. What do you want? -
You know what's funny is that this whole thing is flying under the radar but is a very, very serious issue. Anyhow, I'm still glad to fight corruption with more corruption. Anything to stop more immigrant votes, i'm all in favor of. Of course, our political system is simply out of control.
-
Do you really trust our gov't 'inspectors'? Need I remind you of water safetway, canada blood services. I don't trust their opinion as far as I can throw them. However, just looking myself, many seem to be very old and not in good condition.
-
I agree. But the actual accident of the taser is not related to this at all. I also find the RCMP to be a bit too protected and unacountable in a 3rd world sort of way. Actually, remember that theft of funds by insiders of the RCMP? That story lasted.. umm.. 2 days maybe? And that story got burried under a rug pretty quick.. As a Canadian who 'owns' and funds my RCMP, I will say that I simply do not 'trust them' and they need to be re-hauled.
