Is rebellious being in grade 11 on her way to graduating? Coming home at 5pm? Some parents with REAL rebellious kids would dream for that kind of 'rebellion'. Yes.. as the left slowely tries to paint the pictures in the minds of Canadians and make this into a stress issue and nothing more. The girl was disposeable and lets focus on the needs of the Father and his family. The girl was strangled to death over minutes of controlled strangulation and she feared her life. The motive the father/brother had was that she was dishounoring the family. Islam is involved, but it's mostly a tribal cultural practice of family that cuased the father to do this. I know of 4 honor killings in Canada. All involve women disgracing the family. This happens overseas all the time. Hell, our own media tries to bury this. Now the left sicko's and self haters will slowely try to pain the picture of what 'really happened' and blame councelling, stress disorders, and other things that we did in order for him to do what he did. And that is why many people right off the bat said that he would get off this charge. I've lived in this country my whole life. I know the people in Canada very well. These include immigrants, minorities, second gens, quebecers, westerners and other wasp Canadians. Canadians protect the guilty and are, for the most part, a self hating bunch. They do not value human life. They applaud 'losing' in life. They have a comfort in seing mis-justice happen. It's comforting. Standing up tall and fixing problems is not something Canadians do. It's a sickness that our country has bred into our people. I did not grow up watching the CBC and Canadian tv at all so I have never been idoctranated with these values that many here have. I don't understand or even comprehend this self hatred. Samoli's come into Ottawa, the citzens get concerned, and the answer is to let in more Samoli's. Why? Self hatred. Self loathing. No pride in the country. Canadians *like* long waiting times at the hospital. It makes them happy. The disfunction makes them feel comfortable. Go study a molested child and then the typical porn star or sex addict. No one likes the molestation, but they have been indoctrinated and it's too late. They don't realize it, but they now have a comfort. A deep rooted psycological issue that causes them to still want to be molested. It's hard to understand why, but that's how it is. You can no longer change it. So I know how this will play out. The CBC, the wacko's, the Canucks, will slowely start to 'understand' this person and find away to blame ourselves and say the real answer was councelling, funding to various groups, etc. etc. Blame the police, the taser... ANYTHING but the man who is out of control and should not have been granted entrance into Canada. The real answer is we have a disfunctining immigration policy. That's the fact of it. This is another sympton of our disfunctioning immigration policy. Honor killings are tolorated back home. We can either tolorate it here, or just plug our ears and pretend this wans't an honor killing (which is what the conservative mulsims are doing i've noticed). This was an honor killing and it's debatable whether it's 1st degree. It's one of the worst practices in the 3rd world and it's now here. We've had 4 incidents counted so far and more will follow the more people begin to segregate themselves into their racial ghettos. But the media will not allow you to talk about this. Our voices are muted. We resort to this forum. The elites do not live in the trenches with these people. We do. Thus we have a loud opinion that doesn't get heard due to the structure of our media and freedom of speech. Hell, this very website isn't very free and funded indirectly through my tax dollars. That should say it all.

Everyone does that these days. Poeple who have trouble dating are so because they aren't going online. My friends are mostly second generation of various backgrounds becuase that's all I was able to meet in school. But you're from medicine hat and not Ontario so you wouldn't know how it's like to go to a University or College and be in a minority because you're white. But I integrate and don't discriminate who I hang out with based on their colour. I wish many of them would do the same. Most likely yes. I dissaprove all immigrants that are not here on a guest work permit. I don't hate anyone. Immigrants in Ottawa and Toronto have huge differences. I immagine that immigrants from medice hat are a night and day difference.

Do you honsetly think that councelling is going to change someone who has been indoctrinated with a 3rd world mentallity? It's impossible. I sat there while an immigrant from south asia simply cut my fiance off every time she would talk becuae she's a girl. If you asked him about what he thinks about womens rights and this issue, i'm sure he would have a lot to say about how equality is great. But there is a such a deep rooted indoctrine planted in these people that you simply cannot change some things through councelling and I certainly dont want to pay for it. Heck, these people can barely speak English to boot. If you lived here you would understand. You do not get these types of immigrants where you live. Also, this girl spoke to councilors about her issues and that didn't solve anything. She even ran away to a shelter and nothing was done. The school and teachers were aware of these problems but every ethnic girl has the same store about how strict their parents are.

It is my business. It's my neigbourhood, my community, and my country. I have do have some business of how they live in their house and so does our municipal gov't. Basement apartments have been outlawed for many years when it started to become a problem. They did this becuase it was ruining our communities and neighbourhoods. But I care most that they are buying houses that they cannot afford and making it hard for legitimate Canadians to buy a home. If you can't afford something, don't buy it. These houses were not meant for joined families and to be split up into apartments with 4 cars in the driveway. This happens over and over and begins to ruin our neighbourhood.

That depends if you if follow GDP. I don't care at all about a 'countries weath'. India has a higher GDP than Canada. Do you want to poo in a sewage hole and have no store that sells toilet paper? Didn't think so. I care about PPP most. Go look up who has the highest PPP in the world and see how big that country is. PPP is NOT necessarily tied to population. I should note that PPP isn't accurate either, but it's the closest to what I'm talking about. One can say that someone in France has more spending power than me and is a richer country than ours, but I want to know how many people in France can afford a large home detached, 2 cars, and have a backyard - good luck. Most cannot even afford a vehicle at all and a mortgage is simply unatainable for most people. They live in little concrete holes, take transit, and own nothing except a designer pair of jeans and gel for their hair. There's much more to the story than just a country's GDP. Canada is in a VERY, VERY good position with the potential to have more spending power than the Americans but we have spread our *personal* wealth thin in order to sponsor the lives of 'other people' whether those people be civil servants or immigrants.

The gov't should not be in the business of legislating culture. Why do you feel you need the gov't to tell you what to do? The gov't should have declare an official language and that's it.

I agree. Every job in ottawa it seemed required French. It was impossible for me to get a job. Even here in Toronto you'd be very suprised how many jobs want French. That's funny when all the Quebecers can speak English. Culture is at its best when everyone brings it together. Regardless of gov't policy, if you let in too many people from other worlds in a border too fast, you will get segregation and ghettoisation no matter what gov't policy you have.

Laughable. You seem so detatched from reality. What city do you live in? North Bay Ontario? A murder isn't a murder. Legally a murder has motive. You can murder to save someone from pain, or because you were sleepwalking, or because you hate that person etc. Usually people who kill their kids do it to rob their wives of the happiness that they stold from them. But I challenge you to find me a direct killing of a man and his daughter through strangulation. Yes can't do it can you. This has happened in BC with the father sending a hit out on his daughter, but when else does this happen? Never that's when. These crimes of solid households where the men are killing their daughters are outrageous and sickening. Even more outrageous are you guys defending the father and trying to liken this killing with a mother who has post pardon stress dissorder and drowned their baby. two different things.
