You are funny. So the problems with our country is lack of funding and the media. Wow.. what they say about left wing loonies really are true. The problems in our country is: 1) The mass flooding of needless immigrants driving down the value of our labour market and draining our services. 2) High taxes 3) Elite controlled society that do not represent the common people, but only special interest groups (CRTC, Judges, Policitians, CBC). I agree. There is no reason to let them into our country. They are not needed at all - fact. What amazes me, is how people here carry the famous "Canadian Sense Of Entitlement'. People actually feel that it's others people God given RIGHT to come to Canada. It's just a failing policitcal policy. That's all it is. We don't need them here at all. They are just here because they are a voting block.

Learning to live and let live is a good thing. YOu have your head in the sand and don't really udnerstand our economy and immigration policy. I don't see what the problem is. It is clear there were a bunch of clowns planning to blow up some buildings. It also appears that our police already have what they need to keep watch on these groups and shut them down before they do any damage. Yes it is possible a future group may be able to do some damage before the police catch up with them but I don't think pulling out of Afghanistan or withdrawing support for Israel will change anything.Banning further immigration from Muslim countries won't changing anything either - the proverbial horse has already left the barn on that one. What we could do is reach out to Muslim groups that unequivably condemn these acts of terrorism. I don't think the CIC qualifies as one of those. They tend to justify and rationalize. Reaching out means giving money to their loby groups. This won't solve anything. I guess both of you don't live here and see people walking around in they're beards and pajamas. There is no interest at all to integrate with us on their part. They simply don't care to. This one canadian born teacher called up the radio station where he said he teaches at a prodominatly muslim school (must be my neighbourhood) and he said that time and time again the parents say 'I don't want to loose my child to the west'. This attitude gets passed down, the kids get involved in their relegion and find that a good part of it is very very violent. They then blame all their problems on the whites and begin to fixate on Isreal. Then they do stupid stuff like what they did. I know why it happens and I'm telling you the only way to fix it is preventative medicine: keep them out! They are not entitled to be here! Have you forgot that? This is a PRIVATE, EXCLUSIVE country for us. Just like Japan belongs to the Japenese. We are not allowed to just walse in there countries.. it's not our right. So why do so many people think that people are just entitled to come here? They only come here because it's the only place that will let them in (and possibly the UK and now growing Australia) but we are still the easiest to get into. Everyone knows this over there. Why do so many here feel no entitlement to their own country Canada???????? What happened to you? You have a right to denounce whoever you want coming here. It's YOUR country. Couldn't agree more. And for the post below, A Canadian is someone who's paid taxed for atleast 15 years or is born on Canadian soil. People who target innocent lives in the name of Allah and overseas politics are NOT Canadian. I don't care what their peice of paper says. I didn't leave a 'do nothing' option becasue we all atleast agree there is a problem or we wouldn't be talking about it. Pakistani's are the 3rd Largest immigrat popluation coming into Canada behind India and then China and are segregating in communities by the 10's of thousands. Experts say that as long as there's ethnic segregation and internet, then these ideals will be placed in the heavily segregated islamic youth and will continue in the future. However, I think Candians know that these viewpoints are passed down from the parents or lack of quaility parenting. Do we just let the policies in place continue, or do we give them money to help raise their new seperatist schools and Mosq's here in Canada. I beleive the governer general takes over and would pass official leadership to the UK. If worst came to worst than the US would be there to bail us out. I'm also sure that citizens from the rural areas would come out bearing arms and fighting back. I can almost garutee this. I can see the pickup trucks now outside the parlement building. Where do you live? I can say that during my times shopping and buying groceries or going to Ikea on the weekend that chatter I hear over my ear is almost always neither Frensh or English. I would say maybe 1 out of 5 people talking over my ear are speaking English. Actually there are many groups fighting for their languages to become official. Just like the Sikh's in Vancouver were able to get Punjabi language courses in the Universities and they are trying to get fullly funded Punjabi only public schools from what I understand. Languages are regional more than ethnic and as long as the US speaks English we will too... well... i take that back.. who knows what will happen in 10 years with this country.

You'll note that when Canada accepted many immigrants in the early part of the last century they were in effect "refugees" because there was no point system and most of them were illiterate peasants from Europe. At the time, many people considered them "trash" too. Mike, you might want to consider under what circumstances your own family/ancestors arrived on this continent.

Where is such bigotry bred? We're all biggots. It's all about how honest we are to admitting it. I invite you to do some research on our Immigration policies, job creation numbers (not unemployment percentages), and especially the issue of 'underemployment'. Canada is getting world trash at this stage in the game. After 5 years of living here, 36% of all immigrants are living in poverty. It's not because they aren't educated or such - it's because there aren't jobs for them - or us for that matter which makes the whole situation worse. But nothing gets done about this because it would be policitcal suicide for any party to speak up about this. Canada is a private a club, a private country. It's not open for the world to come into and we're all not welcoming at this stage. You may me, and most on the message board, but guess what, as a born Canadian (and tax payer all my life), I have the right and freedom to denounce immigration in it's current form. I think Hitler made some good points regarding political propaganda. What I find reprehensible is the left continually associating Hitler with Harper or any other politician (right or left) in a democratic system. I disagree. I feel this is because Canadians do (and still don't) give a damn about second class immigrants and their issues. If true Canadians were killed (i'm not talking about poeple who are learning English and holding a card that states they are a Canadian) then the public would have much more outcry and those Sikh's would have been brought to justice. Actually, the white girl who was innocently shot outside the Eaton Center on Easter day I believe got a $500k reward for info leading the the perps arrest. Her and her family also got far, far, far more attention than the second gen Jamaican kids that were also killed in the very same way. I recommend you open your eyes to reality - the frist step is to admit that a peice of paper issued by our lax and easy to minipulate policies do NOT make you a Canadian. Actually, I bet most here don't even know anything about our point system, how many refugees arrive a year as compared to other countries, and the real reason we let in Immigrants. At this point, we're letting in refugee claimants and family sponsorship - the world trash --- learn to deal with this. If everyone here came on the point system, there would +70% less immigrants, almost no Jamaicans, and not close to the amount of Islam that is prevelant in Canada today. There is none, because no-one says they should stay, other than their lawyers. That's not true. There is a good majority of people who are either sympathizing with them, or, defending their rights - ie the group in ottawa today that lobbied for the gov't to remove the 'terrorist' element from our laws. These are white, full bred Canadians. I say this over adn over; Canadians defend the guilty.
