Recent immigrants born in Asia (including the Middle East) made up the largest proportion (58.3%) of newcomers to Canada. For the first time, allophones, that is, people whose mother tongue is neither English nor French, represented fully one-fifth of the population of Canada, according to the census. The 2006 Census enumerated 6,186,950 foreign-born people in Canada. They accounted for virtually one in five (19.8%) of the total population, the highest proportion in 75 years. The Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver census metropolitan areas (CMAs) were home to 68.9% of the recent immigrants in 2006. In contrast, slightly more than one-quarter (27.1%) of Canada's total population lived in these three CMAs. http://www.statcan.ca/Daily/English/071204/d071204a.htm

The cereal is the same as eating sugar and your doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. You need medication if you seriously want to lower cholestoral since the overwhellming majority of it is created in your liver. Your doctor seems to be a lefty that cares about text books and idealisms and the CBC. I care about lowering your cholestoral. (the main difference in Indealism vs. Realism)

Actually I'm beginning to take the side of Jamaica and I'm glad this historic event took place. Think about it further. Just look at how out of control things are right now. Here we accept in these good perfect people from Jamaica and basically let everyone in, and then we continually send them back as criminals that cost Jamaican tax payers money and are a burden on their tiny social system. These Jamaicans didn't even commit crimes in Jamaica and now become Jamaicas problem. To be honest I side with Jamaica on this. Who's fault is this? Our weak immigration system, or Jamaicas? Hmmmm.... Geee.... I wonder.. how we could ever stop this stuff from happening in the first place? How do we correct this problem. Guyser?

If I where you I would not eat fibre to lower cholestoral. That is unhealthy. Stay away from salt and sugar (that includes ceral) and take pharmacueticals. no queenslave understands the fundemental things that make 'Canadians' well.. Canadians. Few have ever been able to explain why it is that we do what we do.

Canada's Next Great Prime Minister
mikedavid00 replied to Julienne's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How can you not undersatand that? Canada's systems and services run off my tax dollars. Societal and Cultural issues are a seperate thing. Canada is borders, an army, a flag, and services like road paving and garbage pickup. The country functions and runs through the monies it collects from the tax payers who work in the private sector. In your eyes of course you want to believe this. Societal issues are of your personal interest and should not involve my tax dollars to fund these things. Politicians have effected my life for the worse. Namely our immigration policy. Julien, I don't even have to ask you what your stance on immigration is because you are like our politicians and are against the grain of the people who actually fund this country. But before you even formed an opinion, what research have you done on the effects of immigration into Canada? None? That's right. You know why? Because you don't care the effects that immigration costs on your pocket book becuase you do not pay taxes. That student loan and school. Guess where that money came from? Guess who's subsidizing your education. I am. I am funding you to be able to go to that school, take part in that competition, and even post on this website as this webiste has been created and is being subsidized indirectly by public funds. Our medical care system is not functioning becuase the gov't is managing it, and because people are using an insurance system that has never paid into it. I think that you should only be able to vote if over a 5 year period you paid taxes from the private sector 60% of that time. Those are the people who contribute. Not students, not the owner of this website, not the CBC and employees, certainly not academia, but us the private tax payers. How much have you paid into the system with private funds? Ah yes. You are a benefactor of the system. You are using the system. You are on the other end of the system so you feel it's a normal and healthy life to enjoy our tax dollars. I know that you have not paid taxes from private revenue in the last 5 years. My household gets $4000 a month ultimately taken away from us in taxes. This is ALL private revenue from private companies. Our household's income goes into other peoples pockets. That's where most of the taxes in Canada goes. It goes to fund surgeries to people who have NEVER paid into our health insurance, it goes into academia to subsidize websites like this, and it goes to all the hords and hords of gov't unions and make work projects. Understand, myself, and people like me are at the top of the totam pole. We fund everything that goes on in this country. Not your gov't superstars that have never worked a day in their life. Not David Suzuki, not your fellow students, not your professors, not your friends, not your hospital workers, but *ME* and the people like me. I myself am also still paying off my student loans and have been for the last 6 years and am almost done. I am in the real world now. School was a collection of idealisms and fantasies and I do not believe our gov't should have anything at all to do wtih higher learning becuase it produces too many people who do not contribute to our economy and marketplace. The tax payer subsidized my education. But you know what? I am reaching the point where I have paid MORE then my share back into the system, thus, I should not have the right to say what goes on or not. It's not about hard work or not. It's about paying into our system which is the engine that keeps our country going and what makes Canada the country it is. Your racial equality and social injustices mean nothing to a person who is working underpaid at the private sector and funding the whole system. Those topics are for idealogues who waste the tax payers money. It's for political pander. It's not substantial, it's not real to the people who turn the engine that make our country operate. People do not want solutions. People want to pander politically and discuss problems with no answer. For instance, our gun problems in Toronto is the fault of a poor immigration policy. That is a factual statement. Everything else on the matter is discussion and idealism with no solutions. But we aren't allowed to talk about solutions, we are only allowed to talk the talk that will get votes from this group of people.. who.. guess what.. suprise suprise, DON"T PAY TAXES! Julienne, I really recommend you do this: Graduate from school. Go out on your own and try to find work in the private sector. When you work for a private company and are underpaid starting out and paying off your loans and struggling to the point you can't even afford a condo, then in 5 years when your 30 years old come back and shoot a video of what needs to changing and what is important to you. -

I'm so sick and tired of funding these elites and to the point where I'm even contemplating not posting on this site anymore as a sign of protest. People should never feel entitled to my money. It's time for Canadians to take Canada back and give it to the people who support it. Not intillectuals who run funding scams and feel a 'greater' entitlement to our society. -

Why do people in Canada feel an obligation to public funds? Is it the same mentatlity of how the Royality felt an obligation that we send our money to them because they are 'elite' and our sole purpose is to fund people in the gov't and their families? -

Yes exactly. Don't you see how we've lost control of the country? They eye opener was the funding of this website which was shocking.. and now I have a whole new prespective on how things work here in Canada. -

And it's a CBC event. It's always somehow the public purse getting involved in these fun and games for university elites and political wanna be's. -

Yeah it's always someone elses money.. hmm.. who funds our universities and cbc anyway? Yeah.. you and Greg must feel you are 'entitled' to my money I guess. If I was running I would say that you are the problem: you. Someone who has never paid taxes, never solidly contributed to Canada. Never paid their due's, and someway, somehow, feel this sense of entitlement to the half of the money I get taken away from me. It's too many like yourself that are the problem in Canada. We need to block people like from voting actually until you can show that you have paid taxes through a private source for 60% of a 5 year period. Try to firstly land yourself a private job (not likely to happen), get half your money taken away through taxes, struggle to survive, and then come back after 5 years and now say what your priorities are. I don't understand why types like you consistently get handed a silver platter for contributing *nothing* to Canada. You are self important in your own mind. But you have never contributed anything meaningful to Canada because you have not paid your share of taxes. That goes for you, the owner of this webiste, and anyone else who does not, or has not contributed to our country and does us absolutely nothing but cost us all more money. -
Is it time for Toronto to vote Conservative?
mikedavid00 replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yeah I remember all of that. A lot of it the media wont talk about. The Liberals AGAIN just recently were at another Tamil Tiger fundraiser. People really need to realize that the Libearl party is an immigrant/french based party right now. They have nothing outside of those two special interests. -

This very website is operated ultimately through gov't subsidies as you saw from my post earlier today that got buried somewhere else. I was 'hushed'. -
Yes and that is what is ruining our country.
-
That's not entirely true i'm sure. I'm sure we are funding all competitors in some way shape or form.

There is no perfect system. It's certainly not perfect to have a dense cluster of people, namely immigrants, determine the economy of Alberata. That is just wrong. Electoral colleges are a must. Quebec and Ontario both want Alberta's oil sands to get taxed to death due to general retardation and social welfare payments to the CBC. Do you want them to have more power in order to do this? Understand, all populations within dense clusters have the same needs. Immigrants in the GTA have the same needs as Immigrants in Vancouver and Montreal. However, a farmer in Northern Ontario has different needs then a farmer in Saskatoon and need to be represented. Their needs are much, much more diverse than the inner citie wacko lefty, immigrant leeches of society who's only need is a loudspeaker and hand-out. Do you want more Immigrant seats in the house? Because that's all you're going to get with 1 person 1 vote ideoligy. Self Hatred.

Yes. I also want my neighbour to go to work and have a job and have someone else pay for it too. There's nothing wrong with that. The line we should not cross however, is funding people's speacial interest in life.
-
People represent our country all the time and don't get federal funding for it. Yes I agree they should be paid, but private business and donations can fund this. Hmm.. that's another great idea. The gov't would no longer be allowed to make donations of any kind. They can only spend money a service that services the public.

I've been clicking around some of my mentioned websites and they honestly seem to be nothing more than link campaigns back and forth to other organations. There's 1 organization i just looked at that provides no services, have no address, and the board members are made of people from other groups. I divied up the $260,000 on this group between 10 people and that is $26,000 a year they are making for essentially a website with links and a whole lot of nothing. What great news stories these can make. -

I already tried a google search and couldn't find anything even with the keywords 5 year.

WOW I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. THE MEDIA MUST HAVE BURIED THAT REAL, REAL DEEP CONSIDERING THAT I LISTEN TO NEWS ALL DAY.

Well firstly he wasn' be sponsored by an employer so IMO that automatically excludes him. Also, there is an English test that you need to pass to be able to immigrate. Yes, it is very cheatable, exploitable, and basically worthless, but he should have the ability to speak English or he can not function properly in our society. Also, he has mental issues which is obvious. We've all had to wait 10,11,12 hours in life. Many at the airport wait that long on postponed flights. THere is NO excuse for the actions he took. Ultimately, If I had to chose I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have Eastern Eurpeans here in Canada than the other world trash that makes the majority of our modern immigrants. I'm sad the accident happen, but I do beleive that he did not belong in Canada and should not have been granted any kind of immigration. This is a sovereign country with borders and laws. It is not an international right to come to Canada. We have been conditioned to think this. But it's no ones God given right to come here. He should not have been let in and he was most likely a liability as a citizen in our country. This whole thing could have been avoided.

Bravo on the post. I can't believe I missed this post. Now the PDF doens't work. I took note to 'OneSky' which seems to be a branch, of another brach of a branch. Basically it's a make work welfare organization. I noticed a job posting on their site: "Send your application to [email protected]. Unfortunately, due to the large volume of applications that we receive, we will only get back to you if you have been selected for an interview." Again, the fact that these people are allowed to vote and get the media play that they do, ensures that we will slowely begin to bankrupt ourselves.
