  1. Exactly. It's funny this mornign on the CBC showcasing activist, after activist. However, I do have to admit, i'm not very happy with the RCMP and how they are simply unaccountable. It's a bit too 3rd world for me. I'd like the RCMP to be much smaller of a federal agency and stop 'policing'. They also need to be held to account. But that really isn't related to this taser issue. And oh yes, doesn't the average RCMP office make like $80,000 a year from our tax dollars?
  2. I completely agree.
  3. Isn't it the parents job to look after their children? How about we stop our LUDACRIS immigration policy and we won't have so many kids in poverty.
  4. I completley agree. And these descisions are not made by the actual private tax payer. Also, why not just let RBC put their logo on their uniform and pay them a bonus if they win a medal. Like just let some bank or oil company fund them. But reaching into my little pocket as a private tax payer to put in someone elses pocket who wants to persue an interest of theirs? That hurts me as a citizen that our own gov't would do this to us.
  5. Why should I, the tax payer, fund their special interest? It is no ones God given right to go to the olympics.
  6. I think they should definatly be paid, However, our private sector should be paying for this. RBC, Petro Canada come to mind. Let them adverstise and pay these people. These are our tax dollars and we were never consulted or asked that our money go into other peoples pockets like this. Especially hockey players and snow boarders and other people who have no business collecting my tax dollars.
  7. I agree. Sorry for the accident. Just like I'm sorry for the time I dropped the ice cream in McDonalads when I was 3 years old and someone had to clean it up. Sorry about that. It was an accident. Obviously I wanted the ice cream and had no previous mal content on dropping it. Same thing with the police. The officer was using the taser because the man was physically big and was holding what the court consideres an 'object' to do harm. It was a damn accident and he was the rare, rare type that goes under cardiac arrets from a taser and it just happens to be on camera.
  8. The US likes Bhutto of course. But let them call an election and do this the right way. And no, Musharaff is not liked because he soft to the US and not good to the political special interest in Pakistan, not becuase he's not tough enough on terror.
  9. I have 40% of non-Christian, racist, political hijacking xenephobes who are a legal financial drain on Canadians here where i live. Yes. Let's trade.
  10. Lol!! Wow I thought I've seen it all. It was an accident on behalf of the police and no ones fault. If it was anyones fault, it was that of the person who was threatening to assult police. The left are controlling the media in Canada right now. Ask a tax payer at a private company what they think of his actions and we all have the same opinion. See, at work, we are held responsible for our actions everyday: something unheard of in a gov't union or to social leech. The whole thing could have been avoided if we had a functioning immigration policy but we don't. The fact he could not speak English is perfect evidence of that.
  11. Am I allowed to ask what a mentally ill person who cannot speak English was doing wandering into Canada out of an air port? Just curious. Maybe that could have avoided this accident and we wouldn't be talking about this in the first place.
  12. Not really. Our manufacturing downsizes, but does not move over seas all together. What you're thinking of is USA media stories about something that happened to them. Realize that Canada is a piss small, miss managed, corrupt country. Job's 'moving over sea's is not as it seems. That was America's problem more than it was our own. I bought a matress that was made in Canada. But you can be sure that the steel used to make the springs were from China. You can also be shure that the fabric was made in Pakistan or Bangledesh. However, it's always in our best interest to make the actual matress and use lumber in Canada. This will always be true for the next century until we figure out a magic shipping/fuel system. Local manufacturing is in every country around the world and will always be there. Canada's manufacturing has declined as it has in Mexico, Europe, Japan, US, and everywhere else that isn't China. Things are fine and our manufacturing jobs will rise again in the coming years. We just really, really need to stop immigration.
  13. Thanks for understanding what we're going through these last 15 years and it's worse than ever. Remember this is a pure economic issue. People can come from Mars, but when they come they need to be working or else.. . why are they here? To get immigrants where we need them, we just need them to be sponsored through a work visa (which already exists). No, you wont be seing people coming from Jamaica, Mainland china, India, and Pakistan. You'll now see Christians comnig from Brazil, mexico, and eastern europe that will be here to work and work towards citizenship. And yes, you'd see just a fraction fo the people coming because those would be the amount of people that are actually needed. Hmmm.. sounds dumb? Then why does almost every other country in the world have this very same policy?
  14. There are many advantages to having local labor. The mattress I bought last weekend from Sears was made in Canada. There are no well paying jobs becuase there is too much of a labor pool created by immigration which has defalated the price of labor. The exceptoins being the gov't jobs. Those are all high paying. Jobs are not moving over seas in Canada. That just ins't a major factor in our country. Canada is not a baskin for great jobs. Canada has great jobs, but the pay for them are garbage and they are all taken. If I was doing my same job in the US, I would be worth $70,000 US. But my job here is lower paying becuase we just have such a large, large supply of labor so employers can really drive down wages and up the experiencec levels.. It must be next to imposible to get a decent paying job in Nova Scotia. That's the reality of the situation the our gov't has created foro us. Time to take our gov't back.
  15. I hate it, hate it, hate it when immigrants claim they are business people and economists. "yes Mr. Pakistani sand person of Islam, why don't you tell us all about our complex 1st world industrialized nation. But please, speak slowely so I can understand you". Damn.. i've seen an immigrant that were unshure how to use an elevator.. yet they are goign to come here claim to be economists, or be in the social sciences. Pakistani's in social sciences. I'm sure they can teach us a thing or two.
  16. Are you denying that Blacks all over the world, regardless of country, don't host the highest murder rates and have unusual amounts of poverty? Come on. Stop the Univeristy idealism. We can't fix Islam, we can't fix 'black problems', we can't fix all the wolds problems. You are't God. Get used to that. The best we can do is protect our own interest as a country from outside threats to our society and democracy. Right now, we aren't doing that. Why not take a look at this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=peFQWuk4nuo "You have to live like your in a state within a state" But no, you can't handle the truth. You don't want to know what goes on behind closed doors. You want to view Canada as you wish to view it. Not the reality of what is happening to our country.
  17. Well an Italian in Canada running for political office in Italy (yes for real) called American Italians historic Italians, but not real Italians and said that Canada had the most real Italians in the world outside of Rome. I heard that on the radio so figured it was fitting. Those blacks as well as the blacks in the US are part of our countries history and are Canadians and Americans. We all decended from somewhere, but lets not delve too deep in ideoligy. People immigating in our moder day and age from the Carribean to Canada, and, who do not consider themselves Canadians are just immigrant groups seeking out political power.
  18. I was a civil servant for 8 months at the department of national defense in ottawa. Why did I need to vote when my riding is visible minority riding who will always vote Liberal. See, my tax contribution is greater than any vote at the ballad box on election day (under out current system of course). Another thing tax payers could control if we were able to vote would be worker rights, maternity leave, benefits, vacation time, etc. I never even thought of that. I know that you need medical care, if only us tax payers voted, US hosptial corportations would finally come here and there would be so many jobs it would be insane. Litterally there would be a huge increase of Canada's wealth. The HMO system would have the latest machines, all private run, healthcare and jobs for everyone whethere you have insurance or not. And do you thinn tax payers are going to give our HMO's to people who wander out of Pearson Airport? Lol.. laughable. The HMO's would go to our Canadians. The sick, the unfortunate, the low income, etc. Not immigrants with health dissorders wandering out of an airport. (pun?)
  19. They would still have to pay taxes or it wouldn't work. The only + to working for the gov't would be they hire the dumbest idiot who couldn't get a job in the private sector or people that feel a greater good. They can loby all they like, but they won't be voting. The tax payer would be the descision maker. I think people really underestimate the amount of people who are not private tax payers. Public tax payers is a moot point. I would say less than 50% of us are working in the private sector and paying taxes. Think about it, I give away half of money to put it in 2 other pepoples pockets: whether they work or otherwise. That's where the money is going. Thus, since we are the sole provider of these funds, then I should be the only one having a say on how it's spent. The tax payer would then vote to fix things including our political system and unions. Did you know we have far more unions in Canada than we do in France? I'm tired of sponsoring immigrants and civil servants and loby groups. It's destroying our country and political system. The only way to fix NS is to let the tax payers of NS vote and watch the changes.
  20. Blacks are poor for the most part anywhere in the world. That is not a racist statement, it's a factual statement. We should not be letting the whole world into Canada. It's illogical. The US created their black problem indirectly. Canada is now creating our own black problem through lax immigration policy. Black crime is not tied to rap, it's tied to poverty. Blacks coming to Canada are coming here to have kids, and live in poverty. ... and vote Liberal.
  21. Toronto blacks are immigrant groups. Not hisorical blacks.
  22. See that's the difference between you and I. I see those people as Canadians. I don't lump them into some creed or culture or group. They're one of us. To bad you, and your blacks don't feel the same way I do. Maybe if both of you took up my attitude, the blacks would be doing better in Nova Scotia rather then being black 'Natives' sitting on welfare and doing nothing.
  23. I can assure you that I know more immigrants then most of the people on the forum. I'm talking about immigrants from the third world btw. Immigrants, as stats prove, work LESS and have LESS employment than the average Canadian born. Go to India and see how 'hard working' these people are. They lay around all day and do nothing. Life is sloooooow over there.
  24. They do only vote Liberal. I actually proved it point blank during the Ontario provincial election. Immigrants are ultimately here becuase they vote Liberal and keep that political party in power. If it wasn't for immigrants, they would not have official party status right now. The Liberal Party is a french/immigrant party.
  25. Now that was a great post. I would call it a 101 primer to why immigration is bad. The cultural stuff is more fun to talk about, but the crux of the argument is that your share of the Canadian pie gets small with every immigrant that boards off a plane. (... i'll save the joke.. but honestly.. what was someone doing wandering into Canada with mental issues and could not speak English. How on earth was this guy granted immigration. Well it doesn't suprise me, the CBC reportted that mental illness in Ontario was higher amongst immigrants and they just don't have the recources to treat it anymore.)
