  1. "A Russian drone attack has hit the radiation shelter over the damaged reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said". BBC: Chernobyl reactor shield hit by Russian drone, Ukraine says There can't be any mistake or coincidence: this happens within hours of the treacherous and unforgivable advances to an international terrorist, war criminal and a full analog of Hitler in this century. "This would never have happened?" Except it does, right before our eyes. Only the dumbest converts of an authoritarian cult would take another bullsh*t lie from an empty shell having an appearance of a human but completely devoid of any compassion, integrity and responsibility over their own eyes and conscience. And the Republicans as enablers and full participants of this shame and travesty. In the eyes of the entire world, and the history as long as it will last. Nothing can be hidden. And not a thing will go away.
  2. Historians, researchers, students and general folk will no longer have to ask and wonder how it could happen in a presumably, civilized country. The answer is right before our eyes: the Republican party. This is how. No need to explain, or add anything just one word. Synonymous, now and from now on. Mussolini and Hitler build their parties from outcast fanatics. But there will be one and first textbook example of a formerly meaningful and even proud political party decaying and degrading to the point where it first enabled then embraced authoritarianism and fascism. And all of this has already been written in the history. And none of what was written in it can be erased. If there can be a comeback from this level of decay and shame, I haven't a slightest idea what it could be and look like.
  3. In a multi-party system, that has meaning only with proportional, every vote counts, representation a citizen disenchanted in one party can choose any other, from a dozen or more. In a binary one, they are forced to sign to the alter ego one. It is not a rational choice anymore, but that of despair, choosing not the option that is best but between two bad ones. Will you choose a meh contractor over a bad one for a serious renovation job? Or would check a long list for the best one? And you think politics, managing our public assets is less important? This system is grossly inadequate to this age. It erodes then destroys democracy. Modernization is not optional, it's a matter of continuation of democracy and the rule of law. Not a theory - observe it in real time next door.
  4. Less than a month in: two of the three branches of government completely disintegrated as responsible institutions of democracy. The third one is holding on just barely, 50/50: what is the meaning of "justice" if it cannot be enforced? That's 83.3% democracy degradation level, quantitatively. To be continued.
  5. Pretend business as usual. Don't see anything, even point blank. Miserable, pitiful, slimy, contemptible bunch... know one word for it?
  6. You hoped to control him? But this is how he breaks you. He didn't ask for your opinion. He has no need for it. And he fully expects that you'll cower and do anything he'll point his finger to. From here. Just like the other ones you read about (maybe) in the dusty books did. No escape for you: stand here - or sink in the slimy shame and disgust, for generations. That was the logical progression all along, you knew it and the time is up.
  7. So Trump sided with Putin, the war criminal and a totalitarian aggressor of the ilk of Hitler in our world. That is of small surprise. But it means that the time is up for the Republicans: no, you will not sit it out and come back to any kind of normality, from here. Only an act, clear and strong will excuse you from the deepest circles of shame and infamy - and make no mistake, in history, for generations. Just like those who enabled and cheered to Hitler a century back. Unlike brain- and conscience-free specimen above you have to know it. There's nowhere to run, and you can't wait. Yes, it's due: now.
  8. Is there democracy for the stupid (and with)? Is it a thing?
  9. "The blind won't see the deaf won't hear and the dumb ones won't get it"
  10. Seriously, what is wrong with those people? Leviticus 19:11-13 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV) “You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God..." Republican introduces an amendment allowing for the third term Total stupidity meets total moral corruption in Rep. Carter. Republican introduces bill to rename Greenland. "Carter, who is considering a bid for Senate next year, sought to raise his profile by introducing a bill Tuesday that would authorize President Donald Trump to purchase Greenland and rename it “Red, White and Blueland.” I don't think it's some weird epidemics, no. Rather more likely that they've been this way for a while, years or even decades. And now the constraints, the hardship of having to pretend any minimal standard of integrity are gone and look, they are free! to display their stupidity and ugliness in full light before the whole world and take no shame in it, proudly. If only it resolves itself somehow, what a wealth of material for generations of scholars in moral and psychological corruption. There will be books written and countless lectures read about these fine specimen of decay and decomposition, live and alive. What could be the chance of that though?
  11. Republicans these days is a vivid, live example of how the formal political system first gave in to, and then embraced fascism. An astounding yet very real betrayal and corruption of pretty much every democratic duty and standard. A complete and accomplished decay of integrity.
  12. Vlad, the international thug and indicted war criminal is hoping for a good payback from 34-times felon and indicted conspirator in subversion of a democratic election. Welcome to the new politics in the 21st century.
  13. There's a simple word for it: "corruption". Yes, it has arrived. Now in America.
  14. And the entire political system doesn't see it, zero chance of noticing point blank. Wow. We're seeing it so it can happen. But the next election will just fix everything. Good luck.
  15. This is bad, really. Quite possibly the resounding silence means that they understand full well what they spawned and engineered, and I mean the formal political system as a whole without differentiation and really, have no clue what to do with it or about it. Whistle away tread business as usual and hope it won't turn too bad and/or even fix itself anyhow. But what could be the real and rational grounds for the hope?
  16. You're parroting the good dogma thoughtlessly just as the opposite side does it with the bad one. From your perspective, and theirs is diametrically opposite. With dogmas it's like that you know. A ten, twelve or even fourteen year old may not yet understand fully the notions of gender and sexuality. How could they grasp the idea of changing it by choice? What does it mean I'm a girl wanting to be a boy before I had a chance to feel and figure out what it is? A fairy tale. Stupid, irresponsible and harmful, factually. The time to expose and reflect on these issues is after they had at least some experience and established some foundation in these complex matters, not brainwash them cluelessly in a coined ideological agenda exposing to real, including material physical risks. Brainless left tries to wrap it as "inclusion" but it has little to do with responsible, grown up way of "live and let live". It's just sheer dogma they want to keep drumming and impose on the society for higher goodness even against its will. Of course it will backfire. How wouldn't it?
  17. The deadbrains are laughing. So what if the rule of law is gone? What the ... was it, anyways? Democracy will not stay where the will and spirit of free, rational and responsible citizens have left. No such miracle exists in this universe.
  18. This is a regular pattern in such processes: a period of hidden, slow decay is followed by a precipitous collapse of the entire structure. And it's here, live and in real time. Why would one need dark prophesies and exaggerations? In three steps: Step 1: a president of the etc cannot be charged criminally because blah Step 2: the Congress, the only body that can check the president is corrupted and dysfunctional. It will not uphold and execute its direct constitutional duty. Step 3: the supreme leader can violate any law and order with complete and total impunity. How can one see and read it in any other way? From the head of the executive branch in an imperfect democracy to the supreme leader in some North American Iran. In three easy steps. Now, why is everybody so smug about it? This is the real, big question.
  19. It's bizarre that media and political shell in the States just shrugging this off as pretty much normal order of business. No way they couldn't get that it breaks, blows up the very foundations of the Constitution. And so, they are fine with it, accepting it. At this stage, the game has become more important than democracy. But how would we know it's still here?
  20. This event, if persists should be called "the constitutional crisis". The constitution itself hangs in uncertainty from there. Either the rule of law persists and prevails. Or, it's down the authoritarian and then dictatorial path, from here. Yes: it has arrived, not even a month in. Federal judge says Trump administration violated court order in funds freeze litigation "McConnell suggested so, but we’ll see what happens if there isn’t clear compliance according to the judge. Of course, as we saw in a different Donald Trump context, namely his criminal trial where he serially violated a court order and faced no significant penalty for doing so, the existence of a court order and a finding that someone violated it is only as useful as the penalty imposed." If the law isn't enforced it's just as it doesn't exist, for some at least. And it would mean no rule of law, equal and universal, as we used to know it. From here.
  21. You see what this is about and everyone was warned about it. It began with legitimizing mafia bosses as heads of the government and it will end with them destroying the rule of law and democracy. Imaging if America just passes by and swallows this. That would be it: the destination. Easy, no?
  22. You are wrong and your are just as stubborn and/or blind to see and accept it as any maga-person. No difference, in essence just different color that's all. Before a growing human comes to terms, gets a grasp of what gender and sexuality mean to them how can they grasp a much more complex idea that sexuality can be mutable, change with time? It's no time and no reason to preach these things to young kids. You would be doing more harm than good, real tangible harm and you wouldn't care. Why? Because just like the other side, you have transitioned, converted from being with the people on the way to better life for everyone, to imposing your vision, idea and ideology onto them, without regard for reality, whether it makes sense or would they accept it. This is how you get the blowback and reflux. Very predictable and logical too.
  23. Where there's a real complex problem, there may not be simple cut-and-ready solutions. A number of individuals may need help in coming to terms with the notions of gender and sexuality. It doesn't mean that they should be cheered and invited to make decisions full consequences of which they may not fully understand; that can be irreversible; and that they may regret when coming to maturity. It doesn't mean that the majority of children who do not have such problems need to be exposed to issues they have no abilities to grasp. There's neither rational, no moral sense in driving this agenda all the way till it's clear, blatant nuts obvious to 90% of the society. Star-eyed liberals in this context are no different from right-wing religious nuts: instead of understanding complex reality they are trying to impose their simplistic, one-size-fits-all ideology driven pseudo solutions onto it. It won't work. It cannot work. And it will blow back.
  24. Children do not have full legal rights in the society for a reason: they could not fully understand a) the consequences of their choices and actions and b) the full extent of responsibility for them. It is wrong to prosecute a 12-year old for a crime as an adult. And it is equally wrong to pretend that they could have the maturity, understanding and responsibility of an adult if/when making such choices, often irreversible or with dire physical effects. There's no rational reason to expose children before and/or without fully formed notions/concepts of sexuality to this topic until they formed more or less stable understanding of sexuality that normally happens by late teen age. Professional counseling should be there for those specific individuals who may need it, and that's as far as is reasonable for this theme to be exposed in schools. Everything else, washrooms, colored books, events and parades is pointless, dumb and dangerous including real, tangible risk to individuals who cannot yet grasp full extent of consequences of their choices. Its blind ideological stupidity that fully mirrors that of the right-wing crowd. And it will blow back, reflux and keep hitting the star-eyed crowd on the back of their heads all the way till one of the two happens: they will learn, even painfully, the connection to the objective reality; or the democracy would exit because common folk would prefer a liar who speaks their language to some star-eyed alien spinning unbelievable fairy tales. Now, why is it so hard to understand? Where is the real problem that asks for and requires these moral crusades?
  25. Now, with a bit of a perspective, about a month on can someone try to answer this simple question: the great trans march, drive and struggle: what was it all about? Live: but of course. Let live: you've got it. Personal safety and security, without a question. But the mandatory parades? Schoolbooks? Cause celebre and the next great frontier of progress and liberty? What is it? Is it as simple as clueless and self-absorbed politicians hating to touch real, actual problems like stagnating quality of life for regular folk, the inflation, out of control migration with a long stick creating instead ideological placebos, fake causes and distractions for the society to march to new glorious horizons of free monthly transitions and back again? By the way exactly, mirror-twinning their deeply despised "right-wingers"? Is that it, really? Or do you know another rational reason? Recently I was conversing with an individual in Europe, in a relaxed way over a beer. It appeared to me that she was following some media reporting much abuses and corruption and certainly undermining her trust in the democratic system. But the conversation was meaningful and respectful, I couldn't say she wasn't intelligent or lacking in critical analysis. And she pointed me to the recent instances of woke agendas that neither me nor any rational individual could deny: covid measures; and trans. And now quite obviously and logically the enemies of democracy are using these very real cases of, it wouldn't be wrong to say, overreach and even abuse as pivot points to drive further narratives, like denying climate change, trivializing and rationalizing aggressive wars and the break of the international law and even the assault on democracy with the notion "all politics is corrupt". But why giving them this opportunity? Why driving it to the point where it's obvious to everybody that something is wrong and even then, failing to admit and explain it? What is behind this self-inflicted and engineered destruction of integrity and credibility?
