  1. "Real choice", "alternative", "new directions" are all great words. The quagmire is very real. The incumbents have decisively turned into exploring their own navels, to the maximum depth and time possible and cannot come up with new directions for the countries, and candidates to lead it. But the spoilers aren't there for that reason. They are there to pump hot air, and fish in the muddy waters. These times, of vague uncertainty have always been the prime season for all kinds of political and social flotsam. The choice is good if it results in representation of all voices, and votes. But in the binary system, there will be, always, only one winner. The spoilers aren't dumb to not know it. They are just not telling you. Not in their interests. So by taking a vote from a candidate who could win, the spoiler, who has no chance of winning does nothing more than helping the other pretender. This is how the binary system works, it's not great; it's an imminent danger to democracy, but as of now this is how it works, and will work. The real change, a genuine path out of this conundrum cannot be found in more of unlikely and plain impossible words and promises.
  2. Let's look at it objectively: there's a pressing issue that has bi-partisan support in both houses. The issue is not even about long-standing principles, claims and traditions. The word, and credibility of the country, the United States of America is at stake. And yet, one slimy face was able to block; delay and halt it, at every turn, for six months now: and keeps doing it, undeterred and unchallenged. Every day of delay, the credibility of the country bleeds and the price is paid, including in lives and yet with all the power, the Congress can do nothing about it. Is that how the founding fathers conceived it? That any question and issue, including of paramount and critical importance for the country, could be shuffled away, blocked and suppressed indefinitely by one smug face in a certain cozy chair? The answer is obvious: it's a symptom. This is not how democracy works, but authoritarianism, sure. And you're making it happen with your silence and your little hands. Don't blame anybody for that. This is exactly how it will go in the history.
  3. The questions were and remain valid. An infallible indicator of the state of our (proclaimed) democracy is how they were answered. That factual and objective reality has to close both issues.
  4. The risk of serious effects from Covid for younger healthy age groups was comparable to that of the flu. This was known from the first months of the pandemic. All of the propaganda was pure bureaucratic invention. Social engineering, we know best for your own good. Nobody has been accountable and nobody answered the questions. This is how this pseudo-democracy was designed from day one.
  5. It is not. Pure capitalism is run on the free market foundation but in a totalitarian of mafia state, like Russia, nothing can be free, quite obviously.
  6. Look, from the first days of this event the picture was clear that the risk for the younger age groups, outside of compromised ones, was minimal. In the age of Internet, there shouldn't be any problems with finding evidence upon evidence of experts" calling for total "vaccination" including infants groups that were never at any noticeable risk. It went full way from pseudo-expert "advice" to plain out propaganda that pumped fear and wrong, possibly worse, deliberately false messages. In a number of European jurisdictions vaccination" of healthy under 18 was never recommended. Possibly EU as a whole did not have this recommendation, needs to be checked. How was it justified? In a democratic society which we are or not, that question demands an answer. Were these actions and policies justified by any objective evidence? Or was another example of arbitrary, bureaucratic overreaction, that yet again resulted in real, measurable damage including undermined trust to a critical public system.?
  7. And another week has passed. The pet still successful in blocking the critical aid for the resistance to modern hitlers. Johnson and his clique in the House are playing endless delay games that directly help and benefit Putin and his brutal war. This is a fact; it cannot be ignored by anyone; and it will go as this right into the history.
  8. OK we've got one. An aspiring dictator can say, and try to do anything at all - and all of that, and any, will be that other guy's fault. More astounding revelations?
  9. So we have a top official instructing his next in line or even threatening them, to usurp the power, essentially, the treason. This is as third world as it gets, obviously. Let's see what could be the excuses and if we get any. Never happened because the buffoon never lied? What else? Curious.
  10. This is offtop but it goes against the essence and the grain of the binary politics. Every little tweak that works for one has to be against the other, and so has to increase the division and polarization until the extremes can no longer see the human in each other. You can preach to the water that it should flow upwards or even fly but it would be very unnatural and would have very little chance of happening. The way back to normality in politics lies through changing the system.
  11. Coercing a democratic official into a major violation of law, and a subversion of democracy is as crooked as it gets and as criminal as it gets. It is really as cut and dried as it looks. There are no escapes left.
  12. The pet with his clique are continuing their disgusting games. He wants to invite Israel's PM to speak to the congress, while delaying: since November last year, the approval of the critical aid to Israel and Ukraine. There will be no explanations for this dismal betrayal. It will be recorded in the history for all the posterity to see and pass their judgement on.
  13. The Guardian: Trump told Pence certifying the election would be "political career killer" “Mike, this is a political career killer if you do this,” Trump told Pence by phone on the morning of January 6, the New York Times reported, citing a transcript of testimony to the House committee that investigated the deadly attack on Congress that unfolded later that day. That's it: whether one's perpetually mad at the "lefties" or brainlessly cheered for a new Idol this is the end of the line. Instructing and threatening a subordinate to break the law and undermine the democratic will of the people has to be a crime in any interpretation and jurisdiction that is compatible with the principles of democracy. One's choice is simple here, really: to prosecute the lying crook aspiring to become authoritarian dictator to the full extent of the law; or assume and accept this kind of behavior as new normality: and descend into the banana world. There's nothing left in between. Just make your choice.
  14. It's not called that. It's called amoral: beyond those very obvious, lines and limits. And then, anything goes, ample history for that. Putin does all the same things Hitler did, complete with crimes against humanity. "We prefer bad guy Hitler, predictable". Anything goes.
  15. So he's another one of the kind. Is there virtue in that? No. Obviously. Another brain-absent attempt at an argument. If he fails then this is non-sequitur. And if he is, it would prove nothing. Sucking up to thugs like Putin and Un is still wrong, no matter who and how forgets about it. It was wrong to elect Hitler. It was wrong to elect Putin. It will prove wrong, again and again because obviously, it is very wrong.
  16. Generalities do not explain anything. Yes there are individuals of dignity and principle politicians or not, and there are spineless sponges that will suck up to anything that would give them some juice. But there are no explanations for sucking up to Putins and Uns. Just none. Just forget it and don't even bother to move that spineless tongue: it will get you absolutely nowhere. Yes, there's right and there's wrong and no twisty lying tongue could mix them together. Unless you chose to.
  17. The only way to defeat a grotesque lie is to stand up to it. It's really that simple now, and no wiggle room left. And so, yes we make our choices. Some choose dignity and integrity and others, to drain themselves of them completely and drown in shame, and sh*t. To each, their own. The important thing is: they knew.
  18. Former President George W. Bush Former Vice President Dick Cheney Former Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Paul Ryan and many more Republicans. One cannot play into the agendas and hands of totalitarian dictator thugs. One cannot lie their way to the power of a proud democratic nation. It's only as simple as that. Don't even think that a twisty, boneless tongue will help you have it both ways: prop an open admirer of totalitarian thugs, a lying coward; and have a grain of dignity; self-respect and integrity in the end. No, don't even try to hope. It never worked this way. And the choice is due now.
  19. And another week has passed. The pet continues his disgusting and reprehensible games into the hands of the totalitarian dictator thug, international bandit Vlad to the lying tunes of his master. Nowhere to hide. The history will record every lying word and twitching move.
  20. I much doubt that. Russia was a totalitarian brutal society for generations, very little to do with the U.S. "meddling". China and India had suffered from Western colonialism, as well as Japanese one, way before the global rise of the U.S. Middle East meddling indeed created way more problems than it solved. Russia and China have their own versions of colonialism. The bottom line is, there's no simple explanation, a tweak by which the world today would have been better. Wrong choices were made, sure. Exacerbated problems and created bigger ones? Probably. A single, simple cause? Not likely. And so the question is, where do we go from here. The options begin to look very much black and white.
  21. A demise, collapse of.. everything. Just sad, and disgusting. This is also the final stretch of the partisanship trajectory. Nothing is above getting to that seat, the one and only true meaning.
  22. Some of that cannot be denied. And yet.. you are trying to say that Putin's "democracy" and Iran's "stability" will be better? Or even remotely, lightyears comparable in brutality and hopelessness it would install on the world if we keep down this path?
  23. There's no point in further games, pretenses, dancing around the issues. This is as black and white as the last time, and it is as serious as the last time. A new Alliance, Axis of tyrants is rising, more oppressive and brutal than ever, aiming at nothing less than rewriting the history and ruling the world for ever. There were always blind, dumb, very cautious for whatever reasons, tacit admirers of brutal and oppressive might, liars seeking to gain the publicity, and power but that changes neither the reality of the situation nor the outcome. With this kind of adversary, into the future will pass only one. And so, it's the time to make the choice. Yapping up to, condoning and playing into the hands of modern hitlers cannot be looked over and tolerated. They were around always. They should not be allowed to undermine the resolve and will to stand up to the brutal tide. Anyone involved in sucking up to the dictators needs to be brought out immediately to the light; isolated, despised, and ostracized by the normal society. We absolutely cannot give in to the lies, cowardice and the darkness that would follow.
  24. The pet will yap and dance on his master's cue. His lies are only that, empty words with no substance. No confusion; no more delays; nowhere to fall back on; the time for the choice is now. This is how the history will remember you: in generations.
